Fantastic experience: So happy that I found Chris! Chris knew so much about aquariums and my tank literally looks brand new again! I had stubborn green algae on the glass edges and was scrubbing and struggling to get it off myself! Chris managed to do it, replace the plants with fresh ones and clean the gravel etc all in under an hour. He also cleaned my filter as he noticed I hadn’t been cleaning it correctly and left everything sparkling. So so happy, I’ve now booked him in for regular maintenance every 3-4 weeks. Fantastic experience: I can not thank Chris enough. I have been away on holiday and my fish sitter told me that multiple fish have sadly passed away. I WhatsApp’d Chris on a Friday evening (forgetting the time difference) and he was able to offer his support and come and try and save the fish who may possibly be alive. Unfortunately there was no surviving fish, I am very upset about losing my pets, but Chris was very understanding and supportive. He came to my house while I am away and sorted out the tank so that we can start fresh when I am back. He advised me on some updates to the tank that would be beneficial moving forward. Fantastic experience: I contacted Chris to service my new Juwel Rio 180 tank. I set it up myself but wanted an expert to make sure it was done correctly. He was very punctual, and such a clean tidy workman and wow does he know his fish. He cleaned it all up, removed the algae, told me what fish to get to stop the algae. He changed the water and repositioned the plants and ornaments and left a beautiful sparkling tank. Definitely will use him again to maintain it. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Chris recently installed a marine fish tank in our office in Potter Bar. Chris has an amazing knowledge and our staff love it when he comes in to service the tank as he spends time explaining to them about the fish and the marine plants etc. The tank is a real feature point of our office.

Fantastic experience: Chris is an absolute professional, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. No request is too much, he has been enormously helpful from the initial enquiry, throughout the build process of our reef aquarium and post aquarium support (important to us as we are a school), where he has gone above and beyond at every stage to help us. As a result we are now seeking his services in building a second much bigger tank whilst he continues to add to and maintain our first reef aquarium.

Fantastic experience: I have been using The Fish tank man's services for the last few months and I wish I had found out about Chris sooner. What he doesn't know about fish keeping/aquariums isn't worth knowing. He is polite, friendly, helpful and really knows his stuff . Chris certainly goes above and beyond . I have quite a large tank which was out of my comfort zone but he took the time to help me understand why and what needs to be done to keep the fish and the aquarium healthy and in tip top condition . I now use Chris for regular maintenance and he is always on hand for support, help and advice and I wouldn't use anyone else ! Fantastic experience: Chris did an amazing job of my 240L tank when I called him as an emergency a few days ago. My tank was crashing despite good parameters and regular cleans. The fish were gasping and I was worried I’d lose the lot. Chris came at very short notice at the end of his long day and spent significant time ensuring the tank was salvaged and looking as good as new. Fish all doing great. Can’t recommend him enough and very grateful!

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with Chris. He was recommended as i wanted a large fish tank in my little boy’s bedroom. He met us to see what kind of theme we wanted and then set it all up for us so we have an amazing Jurassic park themed fish tank with aquatic soil, plants and dinos. He helped get the water ready and gradually introduce different fish. We now have over 50 fish who all live happily together. We’ve also had lots of babies. He comes over once a month to clean out the tank which is well beyond me. He is knowledgeable and personable and always at the end of the phone with expert advice.

Fantastic experience: Chris is the consummate professional. Not only did he set up my large tank at the start (with some serious aquascaping) but he gives it the full maintenance treatment once a month. The tank looks incredible - the fish are happy and healthy (have lost very few) and it’s quite the focus of the lounge. Chris carries out the tank maintenance with the minimum of disruption, there’s never any mess, he’s completely trustworthy (I’m happy to leave him in the house on his own) and he’s reasonably priced.
