Fantastic experience: Popped in today to buy a Blue Exhibition Budgie. The whole shop was perfectly set up with a wide range for each species. The team there including Aaron went above and beyond to help me today. The shops lovely and clean with some amazing products at a really good price. Will 100% be returning for my pet supplies and future birds. Thanks Roxys, wonderful experience. Highly highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Amazing I always get my rabbit and Guiana pigs food and hay etc from here Laura is a lovely lady with loads of advice to give she knows her stuff she helped me with my Guiana pig when he lost his fur saved my a lot of money on vet bills thankyou so much Laura I have one happy Guiana now thanks to you and she also gave me advise on my snake I took her advice and I have happy pets again Il never go any where else for my pet supplies thankyou so much again.

Fantastic experience: What amazing service! We went to Roxy’s with our daughter as she wanted a hamster. Aaron was amazing with her, let her look at all the animals and answered all her questions about how to look after her new pet. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, we will definitely be back for all our pet supplies.

Negative experience: My daughter brought a bird off this shop in march 2025 . After asking a few times if it was normal for the parrot to just be laying down they just told me it's probably the birds personality. But I knew something wasn't right with it... He only lived for 3 months after us having him my daughter heartbroken.. my daughter has another parrot so that's how we knew something wasn't right with her new one but the shop just made excuses about the health of the bird and care more about getting the money. So if you after a bird for your child to grow with then don't use this shop.

Fantastic experience: Today me and my mother came to Roxy's pet shop and we brought a kakariki The man who helped us was very kind and informative (We named her cinnamon) We brought cinnamon for £150 and it is a very good price Sadly I cannot put pictures on the review but just imagine a cute blue kakariki Cinnamon is also 10 weeks old Thank you for reading :D

Fantastic experience: Went and purchased a new little toad. The guy who runs the shop was more than pleasant. It was near closing but still took his time to have conversation. Even showed us a beautiful hand tamed bird which I'm eager to purchase. I'm in love. Will definitely visit again

Fantastic experience: Wow!! Where do I start.. The moment we walked thro the door on Friday the 30th of may we was greeted by two members of staff that were so happy and chirpy (excuse the pun) After having a quick look around the shop I was shown the birds the gent took his time talking to me about each bird and there behaviours and bits about them diatry requirements ect. We was looking for a new mate for our Quaker and soon enough the little fluff ball was casuallypacked and ready for travel. Over the weekend we have messaged a couple times just with updates. My old bird has completely changed in his temperament now he has a friend. 100% recommend and this will be out local store now. Well worth the 40 min drive

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing service! They are always so kind and helpful, I’ve had 4 beautiful Parrots from them, today I bought a leopard gecko home. Never had an issue, they genuinely give so much care to the animals they have in their shop. Down to earth with their help never make you feel small for not knowing something, and give you the best/realist advice and DON’T sell you lies to get you to spend more like most pet shops do that I’ve found. Lovely shop with lovely people running it! 100% recommend

Fantastic experience: Big thank you to roxys pet shop for coming through with fresh live food which has 2 deliveries a week of fresh food , the bigger stores had me waiting over two weeks, with nothing to show for it! Nathan is always a delight to deal with ,friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about what he does, he consistently goes the extra mile for his customers, and it really shows. Negative experience: rude staff, the man dont know what hes doing! the women just wants money, dont show any care for these animals ridiculous! Got a ringneck ages ago about 4 weeks ago died 2 weeks later the way how the women grabbed the bird in the bag caused him/she so much stress ! i wont a review shock they took it down

All of the animals are so well looked after and the staff are very knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. I have dealt with Nate a long time now and dealt with his father at the shop before that. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if you cannot see what you want, please ask Nate, he will always do his best to get what you’re looking for. All animals are well looked after and cared for until they find their forever home. A really gem of a proper pet shop.

Fantastic experience: Roxys is my local pet shop and I would be so lost without them! I've been having feeders off them for my spiders, tarantulas, millipedes and isopods for years and they always look out for what I need and make sure it's in. From feeders to enclosures (braplast tubs), I even have had two Burmese Beauty Millipedes and I absolutely love them! Cannot recommend enough! The staff are amazing and Nath always goes out his way to get my lil invert zoo fed!!

Fantastic experience: Picked up my sons first budgie today , could not decide on one or two so my sons going to see how Big Mac seems in a few days , and if he seems lonely we will definitely be back to collect him a pal. Lovely guy really knowledgeable! Big Mac is lovely and already mimicking sounds. Can tell the birds are really well looked after will definitely be back as needs. Thankyou ! Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing service. Went to look for a bird on Tuesday not sure on what. Explained the situation and Nathan went through all the birds and information about them helping me pick. Definitely knows his stuff. Very understanding and open to answer any of your questions no matter how stupid you may think they are. Also happy to sit and have a chat. Ended up picking up a lovely ringneck now named sprout :)

Fantastic experience: Fantastic shop. The range in there is fantastic and prices are great. They always have great fresh hoppy locusts for my geckos. The lady in there on a Saturday is lovely and full of knowledge about a range of animals, you can really tell they love all animals.

Fantastic experience: Today we bought a budgie from Roxy’s Pet Shop, and Nathan (owner) was absolutely amazing. He had an amazing variety of birds and you could tell they were all very healthy and well taken care off. The shop itself was very clean and well kept. Within a matter of 3 hours the budgie now called Sunny was as tame as anything, he was all over the children and my husband. A perfect bond made… I would recommend this store to everyone especially families with children… we shall be back if I have my own way for a companion lol

Fantastic experience: I purchased my beloved zebra finch, Ian, from there in 2020. Very helpful salesman. I have just called for advice as Ian has been a little quiet of late. The lady I spoke to was so helpful and gave me some fantastic information and advice.

Fantastic experience: We recently lost a pet, and my 11 year old was not coping without one, she had always wanted a bird. I contacted Nathan who was absolutely lovely. Really knowledgeable and I put a deposit down on a pineapple conure. We had a lot going on at the time and had a holiday booked, Nathan kindly agreed to keep the bird a little longer for me, my daughter was visiting the shop and playing with mango he couldn't of been any more accommodating to our family.he was always sending updates and photos He even took mango home each night to keep him used to people. He knew how much it meant to my little girl and taught him tricks, it wasn't about making a sale for him. He went above and beyond for my daughter. There was no hard selling of extra products for mango. I know we can always ask him for advice should we need it. He really cares for his animals and that's so important. Wouldn't hesitate in buying from him again. Thank you Nathan! Mango has stole our hearts

Negative experience: Terrible pet shop. They’re breaking the law selling kittens, let alone how the animals aren’t looked after to the standards they should be. They don’t care about the animals they have, only for the money. Shouldn’t be trading at all, hope trading standards turn up..

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing shop, my little sister bought a hamster from here. She loves it so much. And always threatens that it is going to eat me and i am scared it isnt a threat anymore so i sleep with one eye open.

Negative experience: We have a hamster on 7th April and it just died and only live for 9 days so they give us a hamster which has something wrong with him and wont wven give us back our money wont be going back you wasted our daughter £50

Negative experience: Fuming. Brought a dwarf russian hamster a week ago. Now having to pay £55 to have him put down because he was separated from his mother too young, got over stressed and wont eat and is now in so much pain he cant walk properly!! Brought as a gift for my 3 year old and he is devastated!!! RIP off merchants, absolutely raging!!!

Fantastic experience: Roxy's is my favourite pet shop. Went in today to look at the budgies and came home with a gorgeous cockatiel. I've always had my birds from roxys and have never had a problem. When I had snakes and lizards I would only ever buy their food from here too as they were a great price as well as being in a convenient location for me. Dave was super helpful and friendly as he always is ☺

Negative experience: Update to staff who commented with 5 star review for the shop they work in .... My conservatory is heated. Your birds are ill. Stop selling sick animals and leaving yourself 5 star reviews. Just because the birds are not dead yet doesn't mean they're not ill!!! Bought a Cockatiel. Within 2 days it's fluffed up head in back ill.... day 5 they offer an exchange. (Owner tells me the bird i took back is "fine" puts it straight back in the cage with other birds. I get another cockatiel and low and behold 2 days in n its fluffed up, head in back all day ill..... so I request a refund this time. Didnt get one though, got itwms to the value of instead. Avoid this place for live stock of any kind!!

Fantastic experience: As a member of staff from roxys pet shop i would like to comment further on a review we had from a Tammy Teague we have now had 2 cocktails returned from herself saying they are fluffed up and ill they have been put into indoor flight with 2 other cockatiels and they are all eating drinking fine there not fluffed up. We feel that the picture that she sent us is the bird is in a conservatory and which a bird should not be keep in at this time of year as its too cold.

Negative experience: Animals not looked after properly. Very sick kittens in there, with streaming poorly eyes... Need to see vet ASAP but they won't pay for treatment. They just want the sale! Eye and chest infections can be serious for kittens. If you buy from here be prepared for a big vet bill.. Adopt a pet instead!!

Negative experience: Popped in and saw very sick kittens, looks like cat flu which is a serious condition. Staff couldn't care less. Other animals dirty and obviously miserable. AVOID THIS HELL HOLE! If i could give minus 5 stars i would.

Negative experience: This place needs closing down. Selling poor sick kittens which obs needs vet treatment when questioned about there sticky runny eyes they said ut was because of dust. Ye righ... looks like cat flu to me.RSPCA AND TRADING STANDA4DS BEEN INFORMED. SHAME ON YOU

Negative experience: Unhealthy pets! Mass amount of tiny terrapins in a tank. I bought two home and were ill. Got sold a hamster tank. I obviously did my research and got all necessary items. Staff weren’t friendly or helpful.
