Fantastic experience: I've been going to Sweet Knowle Aquatics for many years to get my tropical fish. They hold a great range of all sizes and colours, easy to filter and match requirements. Excellent website, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. They maintain the fish in optimum aquariums. All stocks are 'quarantined' before being sold. Add to that is the location on the 'farm'. Geese, swans, moorhens, ducks, etc roam free, and there are large ponds. Plus rolling hills - it's a joy to go there.

Fantastic experience: I am delighted with the pond plants (water lillies and oxygenators) that I collected from Sweet Knowle Aquatics this morning. You need to order ahead which is fine - Zoe was very helpful and the plants were all ready packaged up for me when we arrived. We looked around the aquariums while we were there and all the fish looked very healthy and well looked after - when I unwrapped my plants at home they were lovely big specimens, much better value than you'd buy in a garden centre. Highly recommended

Negative experience: Sadly this place has gone down hill over the years. It used to have beautiful water gardens full of lillies and you could feed the carp. It had a great selection of pond plants available that you could see and pick from. Today I drove 15 minutes to find that you can't even buy pond plants here in person anymore. Shame, I won't be visiting again.

Fantastic experience: Love this shop. In the middle of the countryside, animals roaming across the road to the shop. So drive carefully! As for the shop, more fish than I've ever seen, and tanks, supplies, great owners and staff. Will be my go to from now on, even at 40 mins away!

The fish I ordered were packaged so well that every aspect of their well being was catered for. There was detailed information for me to support their integration into my aquarium. Fantastic experience: It's my 1st time I've used this supplier. I phoned beforehand on availability of specific Cichlids, what I wanted was in stock.. I placed my order and paid for it due to lockdown (click & collect) . I collected a few days later, I had given SKA an estimated time of collection.. Fantastic experience: I recently bought a whole range of different aquatic plants to go in my new ponds. Zoe shared her exceptional knowledge and advice that has meant even as a novice pond planter I can happily say that all the plants are on their way to establishing well just 2 weeks after planting them. I can't thank Zoe enough for the time she spent with me over the phone and via email putting together a planting plan for both my ponds and delivering the plants with clear instructions I could follow so I knew what to plant where.

Fantastic experience: Visted this establishment for the first time and it was well worth the trip out. The location appears to be on a working farm and once you enter this is a no frills aquatic shop but by far the best stocked and kept fish I have seen. All the tanks are spotless and the examples of aquatic life on display/for sale is vibrant and healthy looking. A good selection of tanks, food and media are also available. Would return.

Fantastic experience: We've visited about a dozen times over the last few years, and absolutely love it! The staff members are all very knowledgeable, and the variety of species is amazing! I'm genuinely able to say Iv never seen a dead fish in any of the many tanks, and having fish care advice on the bags is a very nice touch. Prices are aligned with expectation, and 5 for £10 etc brings prices down further. Loads of car parking, and a decent website as well.

Fantastic experience: This shop is really hidden away and with out knowing where it is you might struggle to find it, however this is one of the best fresh water aquatic shops in the west midlands, there collection of available fish is always amazing and the people that run this place are always friendly. The dry good that are for sale in the back room is good and the bog wood is the best value I have see anywhere.

Approached several times in an unpressured manor by staff, not pushy at all or disinterested. Spot on. Dan spent an hour advising me about my planned set up. Even when he was aware I planned to make no purchase at that time his help continued. Offered to import the exact types of fish I require and offered advise getting everything set up to suit. As a result I will not only purchase my Cichlids from them but I'll even spent that tiny bit more than online to purchase my filters etc from Sweet Knowle. Customer for life I'd imagine. Fantastic experience: Clean and healthy tanks, not one dead fish

Negative experience: My other half tried to buy from this company but a recent change of address led to a problem with the card going through. They called and asked for some confirmation details and said they would call back if there was a problem. As there was no further contact we waited in all the following day for the delivery only to get an email in the late afternoon saying that there was a problem with authorisation. I called to try to resolve the problem or to pay on my card and asked why they hadn't called back as promised. He said that it could have been fraud so hadn't bothered. When I asked why he waited a day before sending the email he said "if you are going to waste my time then I'll waste yours". Strangely he was very smug and arrogant about wasting my time whilst also losing himself a customer. He hung up on me instead of trying to resolve the problem. I think that says everything about this companies attitude to customer care.

Fantastic experience: Been here a couple of times and they really know what they're talking about. We have bought fish from several other places and none of them have lasted as long as the fish from Sweet Knowle. We're going back to buy some more this weekend!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic aquatics store. I've probably been to most tropical fish stores in Birmingham and within a 60 min drive and haven't been so impressed by none of them. Amazing variety in fish species, from guppies to stingrays. Not one dead fish in the tanks (and there are lots of tanks!). Prices are decent, not as cheap as other stores but they could charge more for the quality of livestock they offer. Decent invertebrate selection too. Amazing service too, spot on advice too! All in all really pleased, the shrimps I bought are extremely healthy and will visit again. Kudos to this store and I wish it was located nearer me!
