Fantastic experience: This place is without doubt one of, if not the best aquarium shops in the area. Clean, well maintained tanks with loads of choice, great prices and very healthy animals. The staff can't help enough, are very knowledgeable and take great pride in looking after the customers and their stock too. Lots of choice on tanks, fittings and equipment. Also not something I'm into personally(yet), but they have loads of pond equipment and plants too.

Also advice which fish can go together but also what size tank they need which many company don’t care about as they just want the money ! I've known Carl and Lee for years now having been a customer since they first set up the shopand they have always been happy to help out with any problems I have ever had, as well as ordered my rarer fish whenever I have asked! Always happy to visit the shop, haven't been in for a while but my visit today has given me lots of inspiration for the future. The new ods-ball rack really caught my interest, the new store assistant Callum was also very enthusiastic and happy to show me and talk to me about the eels. Will be back very soon! We were offered another tank a little more expensive but given at the same price we had paid. The service was amazing. I can't say anything else. Fantastic experience: I paid a visit this morning to Sustainable Aquatics in the hope of purchasing some plants for a small wildlife pond. After spending ten minutes or so wandering aimlessly around, being distracted by the very impressive collection of fish of all descriptions, (which, by the way, all appeared to be in excellent condition and happily flitting around in clean pools and tanks), I couldn't find what I was looking for and had resigned myself to having made a wasted journey. However, a quick trip to the counter and the young man in attendance took me outside to view a more than adequate array of pond plants, (I had walked straight past them without noticing on my way in!) A few minutes later, thanks to his expert and extremely friendly advice, I had acquired exactly what I wanted. Long story short, for less than £30 I now have a pond full of wildlife friendly plants that looks amazing. For a fast, friendly (without being pushy), and expert service I really cannot recommend this firm highly enough.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Negative experience: We had the most terrible experience here. Very rude staff. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. We ended up going to viscum and spending a lot more but atleast we were treat with respect. My 18 month old took the lid of something which we put back but then was very rudely told we had to pay for it. When we pointed out all the lids were loose on all of them we were abruptly pushed out of the store laughing at us. We called the police once we were safely in the car after being intimidated by 3 men

Fantastic experience: It has been my 2nd visit and its now my favourite and my only go to aquatic shop the owner is knowledgeable and very very helpful he's got everything you could possibly want and more plus there is no pushy sales and the fish quantity and quality is superb I ended up coming home with red cherry shrimp and elephant ear guppies also before that some aquatic plants and I've been ecstatic with my purchases

Fantastic experience: A small out of the way aqutics shop on an industrial estate that is really worth a visit. Very good prices on pond plants (which looked very healthy and cared for)pond supplies competatively priced, a very well set up and cared for business. All their aquariums were not overstocked and the water crystal clear, also had some adorable tiny baby axalotls! The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We have earmarked another visit to select our plants for our to be constructed pond.

Fantastic experience: Wow what a little gem of a shop. The pond plants are in stunning condition in fact the whole shop is in fantastic condition. I didn't take any pictures inside as you need to see this place for yourself. Very good prices and very helpful staff. Some of the larger chain stores could learn a lot from this place. Fantastic experience: What a wonderful little gem of an aquatics shop - really glad we popped over today. Initially just for a look but ended up bringing back some hardscape for my tank that has been sitting in our lounge empty since January! The aesthetic is very warm and friendly - the use of wood panelling really suits the environment as do the detailed hessian sacks on the roof ... trust me on this one! It just feels right! Love the way you have detailed basic FAQ's on the tank stands - my wife found it really interesting to read and encouraged her curiosity! I feel there may be another tank on the way soon ... The plant section was well stocked - have my eye on a few species I haven't seen before. Carl and Lee helped us to make an informed decision with our selection and we are sure to pop back up soon :) Great work guys!!

Dedicated to making the hobby as environmentally friendly as possible, they have a range of natural products to help keep your aquarium in top condition. A good and growing selection of fish, shrimp and axolottle are in stock, with more available to order. Happy to share their broad range of fishkeeping knowledge and experience, the keepers are always friendly and welcoming. If you're an experienced fish keeper, or just thinking of settings up your first tank, this is the first place I would recommend. Always worth a visit!

Negative experience: Overrated. Wasn't worth the 20mile drive, called before hand to ask if they had the fish I wanted. Was told "yes we have loads" got there and they didn't have a single one. Shop is a lot smaller than what you would first expect. Definitely overrated (edited: was sustainable aquatics I'm referring too)

It's a fantastic shop a bit like alladins cave and the guy who helped me was fantastic will definitely go back as everything was fairly priced and not a rip off like most of the other places visited.
