Fantastic experience: I visited Clearly Aquatics this morning regarding a problem with my Pond Pump which had stopped working. The guy who served me could not have been more helpful and resolved the problem immediately. Many thanks for your support and brilliant service.

Great stock of quality filters, components, fish and knowledge. My boys loved it picking out a new fish for pond. I was personally glad to getall components required to install another filter. Positive experience: Rang and called over specifically for chili rasboras (Boraras brigittae) but was sold exclamation point rasboras (Boraras urophthalmoides) instead from a mislabelled tank. Disappointed as they will never be as colourful but an easy mistake for both the shop and me to make given both are small, similar and fade during trade. Couldn't be bothered fishing them out of a heavily planted tank to return them but rang to let the shop know. Blair was decent enough about it on the phone offering a deal next time.

We don't have a pond but they look amazing! Buy some food for £1 and marvel at these beauties! Or dig a pond and go for it! We went back and got some fish for our aquariums and really helpful staff and lovely selection of fish. Really worth a visit.

Negative experience: Bought fish here during lockdown. .assistant was very helpful. Went in couple of weeks ago with my grandson. The young fellow showed no interest in us at all. He was actually writing some down. Never even looked up. When he eventually did I asked couple of simple questions. Just I dnt know. Asked for some fish at 3 to 4 inches. He was giving me 6 or 7 inch which were 5 times the price . Hadn’t a clue , not even a thank u . I wil go elsewhere from now On. Spent abt £80

Negative experience: A refund should given, wasn't happy with the quality of your fish and the product you recommended did not fix the problem, so within 4 weeks the fish I got off you all died plus fish I had for over a year died. But its a bit late now, this was months ago was trying to delete the review to stop notifications

Fantastic experience: So far so good, I recently purchased a Nexus 320+, bead filter, UV light, air pump and a declorinator from Clearly Aquatics from their online site for my soon to be constructed Koi pond. Soon after Mark contacted me to inform me that there was a newer model of the K1 micro bead due in and was I willing to wait for it.I thought that this was a great gesture he also informed me that they had a lot of pond equipment that they did not have on their website which was great to here, as I would otherwise have to purchase them from England as I live in Ireland. Mark also offered his advice if if I ever required it. Nice one Mark, I will be in contact shortly for two bottom drains and a skimmer.And when the day final comes some Koi.

Negative experience: I recently brought a number of koi and other pond fish because a Heron stripped my pond spent over £150 I brought one fish at £35, it had a red mark just before its tail that was like a white one I had taken. A week later this mark turned into a gaping hole so the mark I thought was it’s markings was an ulcer! I phone to get advice and to let them know the fish was sick and there response was “it’s after 24 hours and basically tough not there problem!” No advice given didn’t even ask how bad the fish was I wasn’t asking for the fish to be replaced or a refund just wanted to let them know it was sick and they shouldn’t have sold that fish in the first place! I’ll never return to that place again so they’ve lost a customer because of there arrogance and lack of empathy, and I want to tell people beware when they buy fish there. I’ve a well established pond and all my other fish are fit and healthy. Don’t think the fish will make it which makes me sad

Fantastic experience: This is the best place I know of in Bangor for people who have ponds. It has plants, liners, water courses, pumps, stones etc The guys who run it are really knowledgeable and really seem to have a passion for ponds and for fish. There is a tank where u can feed the koi carp (though not at minute because of corona) and feeding them is honestly one of the best things I've done. Not because my life has been really dull but because these fish are amazingly beautiful. Visiting clearly aquatics made me understand why people love koi so much. Like swimming with dolphins, but much cheaper and no need to get wet lol. Highly, highly recommended!!

All the staff are pleasant and are easy to communicate with, they offer great advice on all the fish they stock and more that they don’t. Come check it out for yourselves you won’t be disappointed I can assure you. I will add photos on my next visit which should be in the next few days.
