Fantastic experience: Premier Aquatics is a fantastic place to shop, i am new to this Hobby so went in and from the moment i stepped in the store i had a friendly greeting by Lee who advised me on my tank and all plants/sand/food etc for the correct fish that would suit me with my new aquarium. All the staff are all friendly and there knowledge is incredible, also the store is very clean and tidy, tried other stores before going to Premier aquatics and this will be my forever place to go too, i tried the rest then in my opinion found the best.

Fantastic experience: Having spent weeks traveling across North Wales and the north west looking for the perfect wood for my aquarium I finally found premier aquatics (via the Facebook page which by the way is brilliant) the selection of wood and hard scape in store was fantastic! Also very well priced! Looking forward to heading back soon for some fish to!!

Fantastic experience: An absolutely incredible aquatics shop with a fantastic range of both fish and dry goods at excellent and affordable prices. Steve was so welcoming and his knowledge and advice is of the highest quality, and his customer service is brilliant as he makes time for everyone. The health of the fish is fantastic and you can really see the time and care that goes in to looking after them. If you are into aquatics and you are in the north west this is a must visit shop as there can't be many better.

Fantastic experience: Excellent fish and aquatics store. So much to choose from and all fish are so healthy. I traveled from Manchester to visit and it was well worth the trip. I bought peppered Corydoras which are thriving. I also bought a cave with live fern on it which is also growing like grass! Live and frozen food available. The bloodworm on paper were well received by all my fish. I’ll be back soon.

Fantastic experience: I love popping in here on my day off to grab some aquatic supplies and wander around looking at all the great fish I can’t have because I don’t have any room . All the livestock I’ve purchased have been great quality healthy animals and I’m extremely happy with them. And of course the guys in there are really great to have a fish nerd natter with. Clean, well stocked, fairly priced, healthy animals and expert staff. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience: I’m a regular visitor to Premier Aquatics, but today’s visit really stood out. Harry and Lee were working, and both were incredibly attentive and patient as I picked out the Platys I wanted. They were so informative, sharing loads of helpful advice and info, I left feeling genuinely excited about my current tank, my new fish and shrimps, and now even the idea of adding another tank! Lee and Harry are a double act and an absolute asset to Premier.

The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and not only that they can have a good conversation one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a aquatic shop so thank you so much for the great tank and for reference the tank is 6ft by 2.5ft by 2.5ft. And I’m very happy with it and so are the fish I need more decorations before it’s done but I’m happy with the look for now. So ste and everyone at premier aquatics thank you and obviously this place deserves 5 out of 5 no questions asked

Fantastic experience: Lots of different species of tropical fish and very helpful staff.

Negative experience: Traveled 40 mins to this store. Was interested in the fire eels however on arrival there was lots of dead fish in every other tank which put me off. Fire eels had some sort of damage / rot to the body. I did not purchase on this occasion. I won’t be travelling to visit the store again but would call in if in the area.

Fantastic experience: Possibly the best freshwater shop in the North West. Perfect location, no more than a 30-40 minute drive from Liverpool, Manchester or North Wales. Great selection of stock, great media platforms and the lads in there are fantastic will go out there way to get what you need. Prices are competitive but on the lower side with local competition especially when buying livestock. Tanks are pristine, nothing was dead or skinny and all well fed with high quality variable diets. Premier is a weekly must do trip for me!

Fantastic experience: Drove a long way from sunny Scotland to pickup an aquarium made by Ste, very communicative, fairly priced and it is exceptionally well built. Fantastic experience: Very impressed with Premier Aquatics. An excellent place for aquarist and aquascaper alike. They have a great selection of interesting tropical fish and plants. Really good to have a place to layout your hardscape, of which there is also an impressive selection. The staff and owner are friendly and knowledgeable. They have everything I need and I will certainly be a repeat customer.

Fantastic experience: 3/3/24 our 1st visit to Premier Aquatics. Large shop,friendly, helpful staff, very tidy and a huge selection of fish, plants and dry goods. We came away with Platinum Rummynose tetras, blue lamp eye killifish and a beautiful pair of Apistograma reds and a happy feeling. We will definitely be back.

The store was very busy they had a Friday Fish Chat session going on but I was still amazed at the customer service. The store was clean and very well laid out and all my questions and questions that I didn't even know I had were answered. We purchased 16 fish with the full intention to go back and buy more once these initial ones have settled in. Thank you Steve and team

So much to choose from, you are genuinely spoilt for choice. The owner, Steve, was super helpful, friendly and approachable when I needed advice and he also really knows his stuff. Fantastic experience: With just starting my first aquarium I'm a complete novice, went here to get my first fish and to get some help & advice. Easily the best customer service I've ever received. The gentleman (didn't catch his name), was extremely helpful. Answered all my questions, gave me really useful advice and was very patient. I came out of there knowing a lot more than when I went in. The store was quite busy and at no point did he rush his interaction with me, really went above and beyond to help. Came away with some wonderful fish. Fantastic experience: My first visit to here was after the first lockdown. Being in their infancy, the store felt too clinical for me. I am happy I returned last week as the choice of fish available is amazing. The fish are all thriving and interactive, with a great selection of both tropical and cold water fish. The Betta (fighter) selection is amazing, and the knowledge of the gentlemen who served us was just as great. We walked in looking for a new Betta for the Mrs, walked out with 4 Golden Orfe, 12 Danios, a good bunch of plants, and this little beaut. I will be returning to stock my next project tank soon.

I buy all my aquatic supplies from here at very competitive prices, premier aquatics stocks everything for the freshwater fishkeeper, I recently bought a co2 system from here which I'm very happy with again at a great price , ste the owner is always happy to help and offers alot of advice and is very knowledgeable, getting onto the fish well they're second to none always high quality stock definitely one of the best aquatic stores in the northwest

Have been buying from Steve for years now online, And had to visit the store. It's a great place for beginners to advanced and everything in between. If this place was nearer, it would be my go to place for all things aquatics. The tanks are spotless and fish look healthy and active, which is what you look for. The staff are all knowledgeable and it shows, as well as their passion for the hobby and fish alike. Always ogle the mother plants Steve shows on his stories etc. Hopefully a new big tank later in the year, abs will be ordering fish and plants from Steve, as want mother plants Onwards and upwards Steve

I revisited today to buy some fish and he was really friendly and knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: What an impression this place has left on me. I've started a new tropical tank and needed pretty much everything except the tank itself and Premier Aquatics did not dissapoint. This store is more than worth a visit (I travelled 45 minutes just to go here) even if you are not ready to purchase fish yet, they stock such a variety and can provide anything you could ask for to fill your tank. My personal favourite was the wood section lots of various shapes and sizes at good prices. Speaking of good prices at no point did I think anything was priced unfairly on my visit. I took my friend along with me as he already had an established tank but was in the market for new fish and today he picked up a beautiful Mustard Gas Crowntail and 5 Lemon Tetras. Suffice to say he was left with the same impression as myself when he left the store. Notably we mentioned just how clean the tanks were and how relaxed the fish were. I also enquired about some used and well established filter media for my new filter to accelerate the cycle and Steve (The incredibly knowledgeable and friendly owner) was more than happy to accommodate. If you're thinking about giving this place a visit stop thinking and just go! Thanks for your help today Premier Aquatics and I will be back soon for my first round of fish and pleco!

Fantastic experience: Decent selection of tropical fish, and a lot of super weird stuff; there's stuff in their tanks that I've only ever seen in textbooks. Knowledgeable staff, owner is a decent guy with encyclopaedic knowledge. If you're after some unusual and lesser known tropical fish, this is where it's at.

Fantastic experience: We are relatively new to fish keeping and have a freshwater tank. We have been to all the aquariums in the local area and think the health of the fish from premier is the best. Theres a great variety too. You can tell how happy they all are by the way they swim. Going to a bad shop really emphasised this later on. They give good advice and will help if they can.

The staff are always genuinely friendly and extremely helpful offering advice and recommendations, regardless of whether you're buying or just browsing. The store is immaculate and very well stocked with a massive variety of both cold water and tropical fish. They stock an excellent selection of accessories such as tanks, treatments, foods and other essentials at very good prices. As a novice aquarist I have asked countless questions and the staff have always been really keen to help and encourage. I genuinely can't recommend this place highly enough.

Fantastic experience: 1st time visit today doing roughly a 240 mile tour of a few different Aquatic shops along the way, and this one was hands down the cleanest, most well presented shop I've ever visited, its almost surgical it's that clean. There's a saying "love what you do, and you'll never work a day in your life" And I think it's true where Steve is concerned, in the little time I spent in there, it didn't seem like it was his job! It looked like a way of life!

Fantastic experience: I love shopping at Premier Aquatics because Ste and the team go out of their way to find the more interesting species to bring into the hobby rather than the sort of 'bread and butter' you find elsewhere. Due to me living quite far away and the snow we've had this week, I placed my first online order on Saturday evening. Straight away on Monday they were dispatched and arrived safely to me the very next day! The plants look fantastic and are in amazing condition. They're also very generous portions too. Please do what you can to support local businesses like this, when they go into this amount of effort for you, it should always be returned! Thanks Premier!

Never found a more helpful and knowledgable shop that has genuine care for its customers. It is built for hobbyists by hobbyists with deep roots in conservation and sustainable fish acquisition.
