Fantastic experience: Brett is great for advice on getting started with a reptile. We got out bearded dragon from here and he took his time with us to let us choose one. All the while making sure we had all the correct info on keeping it.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant little independent reptile store, super helpful and provided us with a whole load of advice when we purchased our first beardie 10 months ago. We have just picked up our beardie (Frankie Beard) and our royal python (Mistie) after being boarded there for 2 weeks whilst we were on holiday, they look happy and healthy. They took loads of information with regard to their food, likes and dislikes, whether they liked to be handled etc. when we booked them in. I would highly recommend this business if you are serious about your reptiles.

Negative experience: Told they had rats. Arrived to find out that they weren't available and there was terms and conditions that we weren't made aware of, prior to travelling 8 miles to get let down. However I'm happy to travel a further 6 miles out to pets at home, who were extremely helpful. Much better customer service and the conditions were ten times cleaner. If your gonna sell pets helps if you know know what your doing in the first place . Very disappointed

Positive experience: The shop needs to look into care for tortoises most species should not be kept in vivariums, also diet needs to be researched for them. Try the Tortoise Trust & The Tortoise Table. I also have a tortoise so speak from experience, learning along the way.

Fantastic experience: This is privately run pet shop in Chorley town centre. It is on the main street. It is next to vet surgery. It has lot of cute animals for sale with relevant supply of food and toys for them. Staff are very friendly and helpful if you are not sure what would be right thing to buy for your pet. I love this shop.

My daughter was very happy to be able to hold her new hamster (pre sale) and I was impressed by the care exhibited to ensure said hamster had a safe journey home as well as checking he would have a suitable home with us before letting him leave their care. Would highly recommend as opposed to the larger chain pet stores. Xx

Fantastic experience: We love Brett's Pets, my whole family. The kids enjoy going and seeing the animals and the service and knowledge from Brett and the staff is exemplary. We've spent a fair amount of time in the shop and bought many pets and products. We've never had an issue and nothing was ever a problem, even when it came to Christmas delivery where Brett personally delivered a full set up with Geckos for our son. Best petshop for miles around

Fantastic experience: Great shop for all your pet needs upstairs and down, their vets are directly next door, lovely to see all the live reptiles they have in stock, very helpful, pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable staff..

Negative experience: The sizes of the hamster cages in the store are absolutely atrocious. I did not see a single cage that was big enough for any rodent. The minimum size a cage should be is 85cm x 50cm, I don't think any of the cages are even half this size. It saddens me to think that any animal will spend it's life in one of those tiny cages. Whilst in the store I overheard a customer discussing buying a pet for her daughter with an assistant. The young girl couldn't decide if she wanted a rabbit or a hamster; it was obvious they were buying a pet on a whim and had done no research, they were choosing between 2 pets as though they were deciding which breakfast cereal to buy!!. The assistant should have sent them away to think about it and research both completely different pets to decide which would be most suitable for them, instead she sold them a rabbit. I consider this to be irresponsible and it was obviously more important to make a sale than make sure a pet was going to a dedicated, knowledgeable home.

Fantastic experience: A great little shop with everything you need for your reptile/amphibian/aquatic needs. The staff are super welcoming and very helpful, offering a number of examples of what I needed without pushing expensive options. Cannot recommend this shop enough.

Fantastic experience: I took my son here to buy a bearded dragon, the staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining to him how to care for it and everything involved with owning one. They even offered to delivery the habitat to my house and install it for no extra charge. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have been into the pet shop and also used the vets, the first time I had my dogs helped to go on there last adventure, in the sky. They were treated with the utmost kindness and help you through a most devastating experience to say goodbye. then I received a card offering condolences I thought that this act of kindness was so thoughtfull I would recommend this pet shop/ vets and now they have dog grooming added to there box of tricks.
