Fantastic experience: Richard and this shop are awesome! LOA is one of the best shops in all of SoCal. He has a huge selection of corals and a least 90% of the corals on offer are aquacultured in house. This is a huge deal for the longevity of the pieces you buy because they are already accustomed to tank life and are actively growing right up until the point you take them home. Hardier corals plus reduced transportation stresses make these much more solid pieces to bring home. The selection he has on hand is vast. He has everything from old school OG corals to the newest and brightest grafted ultra corals. Not only are the corals awesome, the procedures Richard takes with fish are amazing! Because of space requirements and the risk involved with storing fish, LOA has a limited selection of fish at any one time. Richard can source just about any saltwater fish you ask for though. Unfortunately, fish disease is extremely prevalent in the hobby and it should be assumed that every fish you buy has a high chance of carrying disease. Many diseases like ich are relatively harmless but I have seen more and more fish nowadays carrying truly nasty diseases like uronema, brook, and velvet. I have even encountered velvet that was resistant to 2.5ppm of copper power. These diseases if introduced to your display tank can entirely wipe out multi thousand dollar fish collections and cannot be eradicated from a reef tank. Even by going fallow. Richard’s approach to caring for fish gives me huge piece of mind when buying new fish. There are several things he does that make LOA exceptional for fish: 1st he sources fish from Quality Marine the best wholesaler in SoCal. 2nd he treats the entire fish system and fish with Formalin repeatedly. This is one of the only treatments for nasty uronema. 3rd he treats the entire fish system and fish with praziquantel and metronidazole. Great for flukes and other diseases. 4th he typically treats the entire fish system and fish with copper for velvet and ich. 5th he tells you where in the treatment process the fish you are looking at are. If you see a fish you like that arrived recently. He will recommend you come back a few weeks later so it can finish treatment. Fish disease is crazy and no fish can really be guaranteed disease free. But these 5 things Richard does at LOA make purchasing fish from him a much safer bet. It’s also crazy that Richard charges normal retail prices for them. I’ve purchased fish from boutique online fish QT websites and the fish are often 3 - 6x the price. Richard’s fish prices are still on par with other LFSs in the area. The only other brick and mortar shop in California that takes this level of care with fish is High Tide Aquatics 400 miles away in the Bay Area. Law Office Aquariums is truly an amazing LFS. It’s very rare to find a shop that does both fish and coral this well.

Negative experience: On multiple days I call no answer, i show up on the times they say they are open and no one is at the store. Take your business elsewhere not worth the time.

Fantastic experience: I won some nice sps frags at an auction at a crazy low price. Richard gave me some pretty good tips and advice on where to keep my parameters to be able to keep sps successfully. Totally recommend this place for high end SPS frags.

Richard is one of a kind, standup guy if you’re looking for a truthful, honest no bullshit local fish store with more than fair prices and beautiful corals look no further I have been to just about every store in the inland Empire and I can honestly say Law Office Aquariums is my favorite and I will continue to do business with Richard. you have to see it for yourself to believe it Richard is not just another salesman trying to sell you everything under the sun. He will tell you what you need and what you don’t need. Thank you, Richard for always making my experience pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Richard is a pro and very kind, great prices and a good selection of LPS and SPS; the only shop me and my boyfriend go to. It's worth it just to go check out the baby bangaii cardinals he breeds, they are so cute.

Fantastic experience: Saltwater only, no Freshwater. Mostly coral, LPS, lots of SPS and aquacultured acros. Not so many invertebrates or fish, but what they do have are healthy and there are quite a few exotic specimens. This is a great spot for the intermediate to advanced reefer.

Negative experience: Richard left me speechless. As soon as my girlfriend and I walked into the store he gave me a weird look and looked me up and down. I heard him tell my girlfriend that she was lucky and I was handsome. He then proceeded to ask me if I swung both ways, I looked at him with a confused look. Lastly, when we were leaving he asked for my number to see if he could join me and my girlfriend in some “Netflix and chill”. I am never coming back to this store.

Negative experience: This place is full of creeps Richard began to flirt with me which was a little uncomfortable because I had told him I didn’t need help he tried to hold my hand and got upset when I told him he made me uncomfortable I left so scared this place should be put out of business so not okay

Negative experience: I was by the stingray exhibit, An employee named Richard came by and groped my cheeks while I was looking at the stingrays very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Extremely helpful, extremely kind, and extremely informative. Some of the best care I have seen in a store for the animals. So happy I found this place! Wide selection available and all animals have so much love and care poured into them. Will definitely be back.

Negative experience: This place is soo horrible worst service ever one employee named Richard was being friendly but in the end way too friendly I had told him I wasn’t that type of person but he kept insisting and saying he would give me a better deal on coral to go out with him but I had told him no I just wanted to get a clown fish he ended up screaming at me because I turned him down I felt so violated

Negative experience: I can’t believe what happened today, my wife and I weren’t let in because the owner had “a suspicion that we we’re stealing. I have never ever been treated like this before and it’s completely unacceptable. I shop at all my local fish stores, reef lounge in Norco, treasures of the sea and many more and have never been accused of theft but this “owner” only said he “a feeling that we’re stealing because me and my wife didn’t stay in the same part of the store and the same time and left his store without letting him know we were leaving. I have never felt this embarrassment and anger while shopping. Do NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY, you will be accused of theft. The owner initially accused me of stealing and then changed it to him only having a suspicion of theft, do not come here!!! Makes me disappointed in the hobby..

Negative experience: This place said they couldn't let me and my husband in because they saw us shoplift. Me and my husband never shoplift in the store. I told them to provide proof of camera video. And then he says that he did not see us steal anything but that we look suspicious. I have never in my life been treated this way. And it is insane that I was coming in because I spoke to him over the phone to buy his black storms. And then he says that we are suspicious and can't let us in. This is not a good place to go to. They judge you based on your looks. They couldn't even say what we stoled. Just say that we look suspicious. And that the last time we came and looked around and left. Yes only because I come in a store does not mean I'm going to buy something. He was busy with customer and we left without saying bye. Does not mean we stoled anything. Bad way to do business honestly. And honestly over priced on things anyways. And was just coming in to buy his storms because I made a deal with him to lower the price on them. This isn't a bad place and they take care of there fish. But the guy judge us off how we looked. But was pretty upset on how he treated us.

Fantastic experience: This is the best reef aquarium store in the Inland Empire for coral, especially SPS. Seriously, they grow coral other local shops won't even try to grow. They have a huge selection of frags, some of it is stuff you won't find anywhere else around here. Their prices are pretty competitive too. I grabbed a frag from them the other day that cost almost triple at another LFS, and the frag from Law Office Aquariums was significantly larger. They also have a few BRS products that are actually cheaper than BRS own website. The few times I've gone in for something they didn't have, they offered to order it and it was there the next time I went in. Can't beat that! The owner, Richard, really knows his stuff and genuinely wants to share his knowledge/wisdom and see people succeed. Seriously, he's a treasure trove of information. He is clearly well respected in the industry and on many occasions has guided me in the right direction and saved my tank. I have been in this hobby for about 15 years and Richard has easily forgotten more than I know. He really knows his stuff and will guide you in the right direction. If you are considering this hobby, they have some pretty affordable options. Their AIO aquariums are a great way to get your foot in the door. This hobby can be incredibly expensive, but Law Office Aquariums has found a way to make it very accessible for newcomers and seasoned veterans alike.

Fantastic experience: Awesome selection of saltwater fish and corals. Has some of the most interesting and hard to find/rare coral frags! Richard and Dennis are very knowledgeable about tanks and you can tell they care about the fish and corals. Totally amazing to see they're in a standalone store now!

Fantastic experience: I have been in the reefing hobby for a couple years now. I heard about their open house through social media and decided to go. I have never seen such nice display tanks, let alone in an office space. Their coral are extremely healthy and are doing very well in my system. Highly recommend!
