Fantastic experience: Incredible local fish store! Super knowledgeable and helpful staff. I love coming in here and seeing the beautiful fish they have. Really impressed with the high quality products in stock. For example, I purchased some specialized plant fertilizer safe for my shrimp tank. There is a huge selection of saltwater products! I only started with the hobby recently and only have freshwater now. But if I ever wanted to try a saltwater tank, this is definitely the first place I would go for supplies!

That's really saying something because we have two other locally owned stores that are pretty darned good as well. I've been to every fish store in town on multiple occasions including the big chain pet stores. I've purchased from them all. They all have some good things going for them and good people working for them. There aren't any I won't give my business to; however, Matt and his Sioux Falls Aquatics store stand out to me as the very best in knowledge, quality and service. The difference is noticeable by simply looking in the tanks at the store. Their tanks are more pristine than anywhere else and the livestock is healthier. The store is small but perfectly kept. If you're looking for the best of the best, especially for salt-water tanks, this is the place for you. They also offer some of the higher quality freshwater fish (angels & cichlids for example). I'm pretty new to reef tanks, but after doing a lot of research and visiting all the stores again to see what they had to offer and talking to their staff to find out how much they knew, Sioux Falls Aquatics is the place in town I've felt the most confident in buying my reef tank fish and corals. So far all of my reef tank fish are from there and all are happy and thriving.

These guys understand customer service. They know their fish and coral. If your looking for experience to get you started, this is where to go.
