Fantastic experience: The owner Elliot is probably one of the most genuine people I have met. More times than not he convinces me NOT to buy things rather than buying more. Great quality corals and care they take here to raise their own coral. Clean environment and they also carry fish. It’s a little tricky to find since it’s in a business center but definitely worth visiting.

Fantastic experience: Wow!!! This LFS is incredible! The guys there work hard, and are very helpful. Customer service is on point, they will never sell me anything that I don’t need, and are very honest . They take the time and ask questions to understand the needs for my reef aquarium. That helped me become successful with my aquarium!!

Fantastic experience: Posted an order online a couple days before Christmas and I was informed that it would not be shipped until after the holidays to ensure the coral arrived on time and safe and alive.. I liked that very much.. was informed that the coral would be placed in a reserve area in a system where it would stay until it was ready to ship.. I received my order today and the packaging was amazing and all corals we’re alive and well on arrival.. the pieces were even larger than what I thought I was going to get.. they were friendly and quick with responses when I had questions and very helpful throughout my order process.. this was my first time ordering coral online and I am 100% satisfied and happy with my order.. I would deff recommend golden state corals and I will be ordering again in the near future!

Fantastic experience: Ordered a few frags from them and they all came in looking amazing. Once acclimated and added to the tank they opened within minutes. Though they didn’t have one of the frags I ordered they reached out and let me know, they allowed me to switch it out with another piece. Great customer service and quality.

Fantastic experience: I go to CA Aquariums for everything now. They have corals for everyone. If you aren't looking to spend a ton of money they have less expensive frags all the way up to high end pieces. The customer service also can't be beat. They can answer any questions you might have, and will always give you a honest answer. They won't try to sell you something that shouldn't go in your tank. It is a store you have to check out.

Fantastic experience: My daughter gave me a pico sized aquarium for my birthday, as she knew that I had long admired her reef tanks. Yesterday, after completing the cycling the tank, we visited the aquarium store to pick up my tanks’ first residents. We decided to try out California Aquariums, (CA), as they are local to us; this was our first visit. CA is located in what I’d term an industrial park setting, so I didn't really expect much when we drove up. When we entered the store, however, that impression was dispelled. The store is very clean & well-organized. The tanks are well-tended and they have a great variety of corals. (They also have a smallish selection of fish, but corals appear to be the specialty.) We were met at the door by Eleanor, a 2 year old German Shepard, who belongs to one of the store’s two proprietors, Elliot, who helped us. (Being dog fans, this was a plus for us, as Eleanor is quite friendly.) Since this my first reef tank, I had lots of questions. Elliot could not have been more pleasant and patient in answering those questions. In short, the service was great, the store is stocked with lots of beautiful corals, and the prices are very reasonable. We’ll definitely be going back soon!

Fantastic experience: First time visiting the store after theReef a Palooza 2016 event. The store was very neat and well maintained, frag tanks are well placed and designed, good lighting, good flow. Very nice display tank. Lots of corals to choose from, fairly priced pieces. Will come back and visit soon. Austin was very accomodating and knows his stuff!!!

Fantastic experience: I found this shop on Yelp and I'm so glad I stopped by! I had been looking for high end Zoanthids and lps frags but didn't want to ship corals. They are local to me and also offer servicing or tank sitting while I'm out of town on business. Thank you Austin & Elliot!!!!

Fantastic experience: California Aquariums is one of the best small Local Fish Store (LFS) in the Los Angeles County. They stock (they call it coral cellar) some of the most amazing and eclectic collection of corals from high end mushrooms, zoanthids, scolymias, fungias, acans up to their tremendous assortment of beautiful acroporas and montiporas and MORE…!!! California Aquarium’s prices are fair and very competitive. Austin and Elliot always provide informative advice and most of all incredible service, and they are very honest. I am a proponent of supporting our local fish stores, and I am grateful to show my heartfelt support for California Aquariums. Please visit their scenic facility in Reseda. It is a very clean facility with tremendous amount of eye candies. What makes me smile from time to time is when their big friendly dog is present and would greet me like an old friend. California Aquariums is a must visit LFS on the weekend, and disappointment would be a forgotten vocabulary. Enjoy your visit, and I guarantee that you would leave there with a striking nugget with you!

Fantastic experience: California Aquariums is quite a little treasure! The shop owners Austin and Elliott are quite versed in the saltwater aquarium hobby. These two industrious young men have both worked on my system and I sing their praises to the ocean Gods! So do yourself a favor and please do check them out, you will not be sorry I promise!

After years of disappointment and frustration with other stores and tank servicing - at last I found a place that understands both the science and art of salt water. These guys take care of my tank as if it was theirs. And their selection of fish and corals is surpassed only by their deep knowledge of both. I enthusiastically recommend them.
