Fantastic experience: I have been in the reefing hobby for several years now. I have been to fish stores all over the East Coast, including big cities, like Raleigh greater DC area and more, And premier aquatics is by far the best place I have ever been. The store is incredibly clean, well organized, and the selection In both Coral and fish is phenomenal. Staff is incredibly friendly and really care about the livestock they have. I have made several purchases from them, including buying a specialty fish tank, And have had nothing but great experiences. Even my fiancé who tags along most of my fish tank store visits said she liked this one best out of any of them we had ever been to. In short, this is the place to stop at in the area!

Fantastic experience: I’m new to keeping saltwater fish, I will say the experience I’ve had with these guys have been amazing. Not sure of his name but younger guy, super energetic and excited about all things fish, and seems to be a wealth of knowledge. No way shape or form did he ever make us feel dumb or anything for simply not knowing, and always willing to teach. Things maybe tend to be slightly more expensive than competitors but probably not much more to notice, and it’s work the experience you get from these guys. I will continue to source all things marine aquarium from these guy! Just stocked our first two fish from them. And on top of that, they seem to have had the most unique selection I’ve come to find, for clowns at least.

When I first walked through the door and had a brief conversation with Ryan and Chase about how I wanted to possibly setup a salt water tank, I could tell instantly that I had found the right place! Ryan is very passionate about the business and the tanks in the store show that. He has an Amazing coral and fish selection! Everything you could possibly need far as supplies for your tank also and doesn’t just sell you something you don’t need or that won’t work with your setup. He has a great selection of the latest in gear at an incredible price. The store definitely lives up to the name Premier Aquatics!

Fantastic experience: Just started off in the saltwater hobby about a year ago. The first 3/4 months really made me regret getting into it until I discovered this place which was able to help me understand the dynamics of it all and were really patient with me on diagnosing and the DOs/DONTs. Highly recommend this place. Selection, price and customer service is top notch.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the cleanest Saltwater fish store in tidewater and you'd be hard pressed to find a competitor with lower prices or healthier corals. Only sells saltwater fish, corals and associated gear. Double check the hours because it's a one man show so he's only open Thursday through Sun but he's been hiring on more help full time with a vision to expand hours and maybe dip into freshwater. Very knowledgeable and won't sell you something you don't need. I've watched him take things from customers hands and put them back on the shelf because they won't need it for 6 months or possibly ever. Worth the trip you won't be disappointed.

Most stores in the area are fish stores with some coral, THIS is definitely a Coral store with some fish, if you're a Coral fanatic I seriously don't think you're going to find these prices anywhere in store or online (after shipping) , other than trades from private growers. I definitely would recommend this to anyone and everyone. For seasoned growers this is a perfect place to grab something unique that our area doesn't generally have (and for good price) And if you're brand new or thinking about the hobby, this place is an amazing example to show you what you could have in your own home. And the owner is one of the most knowledgeable people I've spoken to. (If he's got it, he can tell you all about it)

Fantastic experience: This is a five star shop for anyone who has or wants to start a saltwater aquarium. The fish are healthy and Ryan is most helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He carries a nice inventory of fish, as well as aquarium supplies. If he doesn't have what you want, he will do his best to get it!

Ryan goes above and beyond for all of our saltwater needs and is always super patient and knowledgeable. The fish, tanks, and coral conditions are top tier and never have to fear bringing home unwanted diseases or hitchhikers on our fish/coral. Will always be our go to place!

Fantastic experience: Ryan is perhaps one of the most knowledgeable and friendly faces in the aquarium world of VA. Prices are fair, and the selection of coral is just unbeatable. Equipment I’ve purchased has yet to fail me, and his fish care is excellent. Never a smoother transition from store to home. I would recommend you drop by even if you don’t own a SW tank, it’s just worth the trip to see in person

Fantastic experience: My go to store hands down. Tanks are clean, plenty of livestock and equipment to choose from. The owner also gets an A+ for acting as my aquarium problem therapist. He gets to listen to how awful my tank is and offers good advice lol.

Fantastic experience: Let’s be real, there are a lot of aquatic stores in the area but if you want the best of the best Ryan is the one. I know he is newer but I don’t see his pristine maintenance ever stopping. He’s got his systems down and if you want a tank ready fish he’s your only option with his quarantine deal. Pay a little more upfront but don’t have to stress about having a quarantine tank. No matter what the experience level Ryan is there to answer your questions to set you up for a successful marine hobby!

Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, all the systems were very clean and organized, all the prices were labeled in a manor on the glass that made it super easy to identy which coral went with which price (super cudos on that one), all the fish coral and inverts were healthy and happy and fair and reasonably priced. This is going to be hands down one of the top LFS in the area. Defintley worth the trip if your further away. Even if its to just check out the amazing eye candy they have in thier collection. Very impressed two thumbs up.
