Positive experience: The lake level is still high and there was no swimming area other than swim anywhere you want around the shore. No beach, only rocky shoreline

Fantastic experience: Flooded but still was able to enjoy the park.

Positive experience: When it's not raining....this place is excellent. Clean, quiet and plenty of fun to be had. Lots of coves to swim and have a good time. BUT....CHECK THE FORECAST. IF IT STORMS YOU WILL DEFINITELY HAVE A DAMOER TO YOUR PLANS! GREAT PLACE OVERALL

Positive experience: Arrived late after dark. The site I had reserved wasn't well marked. I parked in an empty site till morning then found my site and moved.

Fantastic experience: We camped for 2 nights in RVs. We swam and I was so happy to see proper toilets and hot water shower stalls. Most of the joy was the company kept, but we got beautiful views of the lake and there's lots of amenities. Some of our troop went to enjoy shopping and eating at Mountain Home. Very nice!

Fantastic experience: We have been going to this campground for many, many years. The attendant is absolutely wonderful!! Staff and Rangers are personable and helpfully.

Positive experience: It’s a nice park but the sites are way too close together with shared driveways. There was some flooding around the swim beach but it remained open. I didn’t see a playground. It is dog friendly. I only use my own bathroom so I can’t rate the restroom. There are a lot of geese here and they leave a real mess around the rods and campsites. My site was covered in poop. I had to shovel it off before I would let my dogs outside

Fantastic experience: One of the best places to camp. Right on the water and always has a nice breeze and is well kept. The service here has always been great as well. We will continue to camp here every year!

Positive experience: we experienced 130 to 145 mph winds ,the wind rolled one camper on its side .luckily no one got hurt .that i heard in the park .lost power , not long ,power company, and park ranger were very efficient.

Fantastic experience: Camped there for the solar eclipse in April 2024. Even at full capacity, the park was quiet and peaceful. Good and well marked trails. Friendly and helpful staff. My only problem was that we needed an extra long hose to get to the water hook up on site #2. Clean bathhouse and well maintained grounds

Positive experience: The row we were on was a little bit hard to get in. The site itself was very good - level and well laid out. Walmart nearby.

Positive experience: Very nice area. Campsites are close together however which I didn't care for but I also was tent camping instead of in an RV. Bathrooms with running water close by. A large shower house is short walk or quick trip up the hill from the campsites.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place to visit and camp. Our site had a cement pad and covered picnic area overlooking the lake.

Positive experience: The only thing I didn't like was the lack of trees and the table no longer had a cover over it as depicted in the photo of the site. Ther was evidence it was removed quite some time ago. Otherwise, it was a beautiful area.

Positive experience: I liked the sandy beach better than the Rocky 1 at browns Beach. Definitely was worth the $5-$6 admission.

Fantastic experience: Mice campground. Facilities well maintained, in a beautiful are right on Norfork Lake and very quiet. I did have a critter "break in" to my duffel bag last might, but it must have been quiet also as I didn't hear a thing!

Positive experience: Never had a bad experience at a COE. The only problem with this one is the water. You have to have a loooong hose to reach because the hook up is between 2 sites.

Fantastic experience: Used to camp here with my family when I was a kid, now I bring my family to camp here. The husband, kids and I all love it! If you can get a spot on the "loop," the views at sunrise and sunset are gorgeous!

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite places I've camped at. Not far from town, plenty to do if you decide to go there. Breathtaking views of the mountains from the campsites some of which are just 20ft away from the water.

Positive experience: Very nice park. Good bath house. 2 things that keep it from getting a 5 star. Dumpsters are in 1 location (at the dump station). Most people would need to use a vehicle to get there due to distance and many inclines. Not a problem for us, we have a tow vehicle, but many older folks with only a motorhome would have to unhook just to get rid of trash. Second reason we arrived when the gatehouse attendant was off. The ranger couldn't be bothered to get us a map or any info .

Positive experience: Nice quiet campground with Sheriff's deputies driving through often. Level camp pads, clean roomy restrooms with showers, friendly park attendant, and plenty of deer and even a bear this summer 2022.

Positive experience: A nice campground on lake Norfolk particularly when it is not flooding. The corp of engineers need to take better care of this place. They could take in a lot more revenue with the proper maintenance and upkeep Especially to the lake

Positive experience: Needs better signage for site locations/loops as well as for the sites themselves. Otherwise, a good campground, pleasant volunteer.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here August 22-23 in site #27 with our Class C. we were towing our trailer with our 2 motorcycles on it but since it was a smaller fairly level back in site, we were able to unhook and park the trailer in the boat trailer parking area by the check in booth. Since the park host lives right by it, security was not an issue. Our site was beautiful with a level pad and great big trees. Lots of nice grass. We had a fantastic view of the lake which was a lot closer than normal due to flooding :). The lower parking lot and many of the lower sites were under water but that made it just that much easier for our dog to get to the water for a swim. We had friends nearby who took us on a boat ride and they were able to pick us up right at the boat dock below our site. The water pressure and quality were great! It is a very quiet and peaceful place. Nancy, one of the park hosts, was most gracious. We definitely would love to return and would probably request site #27 again! AND stay longer!!!

Fantastic experience: Love camping here. Great spaces. This place has the cleanest showers that always has hot water. & Nacy is super sweet.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful Corp of Engineers campground where most sites border the lake. Some even have covered picnic tables for shade. Restrooms and showers were clean and modern. This park has a longer open season than most of the COE parks.

Negative experience: No shade trees at all!!!!! Terrible X10. If you don't believe me, look on Google Maps satellite view. The trees have been stripped away. But, the bathrooms are air conditioned.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic campground. We have a travel trailer and the whole facility was top notch. Clean shower house, really nice playground for kids and a beach area. We will be coming back!
