Negative experience: I came by when they were supposed to be open. They were not. Looks like it might be shut down.

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t post reviews but honestly I can’t thank Jose more for all the help he is constantly giving me. He is extremely fair with his prices whether it be for service, coral, fish. Had a difficult situation last night with the tank and today he is already on his way making it happen.I read some other reviews on here that may make it seem like Jose does not care and is strictly about the money. I don’t agree I have had fish get sick after 2-3 weeks. (as with everything you do in this hobby there is a risk) Jose has gladly helped me with whatever I have needed and he is super accessible.

Negative experience: Am always looking for new saltwater aquarium stores, I came across this store STAY AWAY They had some great Coral's ( pricey) But there tanks are FILTHY!!! Brown I would be afraid to purchase anything there ( I think the Coral's there have adjusted to there conditions) I feel that if I purchased any and placed them in my prestine tank they would die So buyers BEWARE!!

Negative experience: The two workers got into a fist fight/brawl while I was there , very unsafe, very unprofessional, I will not be going back and will be telling others

Positive experience: Be careful because sometimes fish are sick like other stores, and not clear on what the refund policy is but after 2 years being a loyal customer I would have thought a fair equal exchange for the once in a blue moon sick fish that I was told was not sick anymore when purchased was appropriate. He died after 3 days so I think he was still sick. Otherwise great family fish store.

The young lady there I believe her name was Tonya was great helped with my selection of cichlids that I was looking for just all in all a great experience will be back.

Fantastic experience: Here is someone who has absolutely no salt or freshwater tank experience. I recently purchased a tank off Offer Up and was ready to head over to Petco. While driving over I saw Living Life Aquarium and decided to stop in. I had no intention in getting a saltwater tank however as I entered the store, I immediately changed my mind. Not only was customer service amazing but they also explained to me the investments in both areas. While fresh water might be cheaper, the equipment I would purchase would only be useful for fresh water. With that being said, I decided to invest in salt water. If one day I want to change to fresh I can do so without spending the additional money on equipment that salt water requires. In my accounting mind, it only made sense. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Jose to get everything set up. Him and Maria who run the store explained everything thoroughly to me with what to expect for the first few months. Since then, they have given me great advise as to what fish I can and cannot have as a beginner. The goal since I am so new at this is to keep everything alive and I have been thanks to them! It is amazing how complex a saltwater fish tank can be and while it maybe be a money pit, having the right expert by your side has kept my tank healthy and beautiful.

Fantastic experience: I decided to check out the shop after seeing one of my customers 2 beautiful saltwater tanks in there home. After speaking to them they convinced me to go down and see what was to offer. I could not have asked for a better experience. The family owned store experience was Great, the knowledge, the products and the attention they gave each customer. I will be driving almost an hour to give them my business.

Hes set up two tanks for me at my house a 100g and a 40g always the best service. Selection of corals is more than enough aswell as the fish both salt and freshwater. No matter what the issue is I'm 100%sure someone in this establishment knows the solution!

Negative experience: Went to Living Reef Aquariums to get some supplies and found that they double charge on everything. They sold us Fish and the fish died in less than a day and they said too bad no refund even though nothing SAY this in their Store. They say "its on our website" BUT not in their store were people who are new to their store who have not been to their website would know. They would give give a small discount so you can buy more fish from them that might die (so they can make more money from you) After explaining that we would never go back and other fish store care for their customers and do not rip off their customers this way they gave us a Refund but with a Huge Non-professional manner.WELL NEVER GO AGAIN! If you have not gone DON'T GO!.

Negative experience: I went there Friday to check out a new local fish store and see how they work. I was greeted and helped by the brother and sister team That own this store. I purchased three fish from them totaling over $46 the very next morning after properly acclimating them to our tank system - they died! When I went back to the store to bring the dead fish back and advised them that they had died within 12 hrs of purchase they told me that they would not replace them but that they could just give me a discount on new fish. This is horrible customer service. How can you not guarantee a fish: $46 dollars worth of fish would not be OK within 24 hours of purchase. I will never shop at the store again. They overcharge for their products and they do not stand behind them. When my husband called after I told him what happened they told him their no refund policy is on their website but not posted in the store. Buyer beware!

Fantastic experience: Decided to make a tour of Orlando-based salt-water fish and coral stores. Based off Google reviews, I selected World Wide Corals, Sea in the City, The Living Reef, Top Shelf Aquatics, Longwood Reef Aquarium and Stormborn Reef. Here is what I thought about the Living Reef: Another great Orlando gem. Very friendly staff and Carlos was quick to introduce himself and help out. The fish here were outstanding with such a great variety. Corals too were clean and well cared for. They were busy receiving and setting up a larger exhibit in the front of the store otherwise I would have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Store definitely needs to be upgraded, organized however the lady seem knowledgeable and nice. In the other hand i just stopped by to see what they have. I did not buy anything as of now!..

Fantastic experience: Ive been going to this story for over 5 years now and the prices are fare and at times negotiable. The staff (family own) is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you are searching for fish or coral and you cant find it let Maria or Jose know and they will find it for you. One of the best LFS in the broward area.

Negative experience: My partner and I unknowingly trusted this store as newbies to the saltwater aquarium hobby. In 2 days we spent a total of $300, only to walk away with 2 losses (an anemone and a starfish), and not offered any kind of apology, or even a credit towards a future purchase. After much more thorough investigation from a few other reputable stores, what we were told by employees at these other stores was that an anemone SHOULD HAVE NEVER been sold to us, because our tank wasn't established enough to ensure its survival, and the same with the starfish. The owner of Living Reef Aquarium was only interested in the money we were spending, not at the fact that our tank had just finished cycling, and we were starting out with our first fish and coral. The same day that I purchased the anemone and it wasn't attaching, I called immediately before the store had even closed, and got no answer until the next day. I was told I needed to be patient and give it a few days to acclimate. Then I was told by the owner that the reason why my tank had a mini cycle (which was what it was identified as by the other aquarium store my partner and I went to), I was told by living Reef that I needed to buy live rock from them, and spend another $100...are you kidding me!!!! These people are crooks that are only after your money, so buyers beware. They will take your money and offer no type of guarantee. If you buy something from them and it dies that same day, you have to swallow the cost. Funny how 2 other aquarium stores said I should've never been sold an anemone to be put in a newly cycled tank. But this joke of an owner says if they set the tank up and use his live rock an anemone can go in right away. Hmmmm....maybe that guy needs to do some serious research because he clearly doesn't care about the loss, as long as it's not his money. What a joke!!!! I wouldn't touch his hole in a wall store with a 10ft pole wearing a hazmat suit! You've been warned!!! This place is horrible, so horrible that they try to get you to pay cash and tell you that if you pay cash they will waive taxes. Haha!!! That's because you have a paper trail paying with a card, and can dispute the charge if need be. You can't do that with cash. I've handled it accordingly!!!!

Fantastic experience: they were very willing to help me with a unique scheduling on a Sunday morning. omg some amazing lps.. a little slim on large polyps. and overzised polyps. overall I got 4 beautiful scolymia as well as a few others and as long as they make the 10 hour can ride home... Fantastic experience: After scams, idiotic advice and just plan lies, I've found the ONLY shop and service company I'll EVER use. Jose owner has NEVER put profits before what's good for me and my fish. After more than 3 years with him taking care of my tanks and me, I'll never go elsewhere. Whether is's a maintenance call or a hysterical emergency he and his colleagues have never steered me wrong. I'VE SPENT HUNDREDS AND HE'S SAVED ME THOUSANDS!!! And my fish LOVE the LIVING REEF!!!
