Fantastic experience: This place is so cute, I drove from Irvine to drop off a baby crow. Little did I know it was a mini jurassic park and animal rehab. It was worth the drive, I forgot the woman's name but she was a absolutely sweetheart. I wish I had a home in the area, absolutely a beautiful property.

Fantastic experience: The Pond Digger's crew is amazing. They start by measuring the elevation of each side of the pond site to assess how water would flow away from the pool the next time we have one of those drenching Southern California storms. Who would have thought of that? I sure wouldn't. To position the waterfall, they considered not just the sightlines in the yard but also the sightlines from the house, which (again) I wouldn't have thought of. Every single detail was planned and executed flawlessly, and believe me, there are so many details to balance between logistics and achieving the desired effects. But these folks are true professionals in every sense of the word. It feels so good to know your pond is being designed and created by a team of people with a clear sense of mission and artistry around ponds and water features. Eric in particular draws from deep experience and knowledge of koi. The ranch itself is a labor of love, with everything from horses to high quality koi and wildlife rescues to boot. It's an amazing experience. I hope you get to go there. More than that, when it comes time to put in your own backyard pond, I hope you're lucky enough to have the Pond Diggers do it for you.

Fantastic experience: I had Eric and his team install my pond about two years ago. It looked amazing! Since then, there’s been normal problems…nature stepping in with some uncontrollable algae, parts breaking, all normal stuff…but Eric has ALWAYS just been a phone call away, and has always been super helpful in resolving whatever the issue may be. Fantastic experience: We recently had Pond Digger perform a deep clean of our Koi Pond; it was long, long over due! Additionally we asked them to install pond and waterfall lights, an aeration device, and a pond fountain. During the 3-days of this project, the guys were extremely easy to work with and responded to all our questions and requests. Our pond is sparkling clean, our fish are happy and now we can see them better! We highly recommend Pond Digger.

Fantastic experience: We had the Pond Digger install the plumbing and filtration system in our 4500 gal koi pond that we were building In our backyard. Eric, the owner, came to our house and gave us several different options for our system and a couple weeks later his knowledgeable crew came and installed all the equipment. When we completed the rest of the pond, literally over a year later as this was a side job for us to complete, Eric and his crew returned to complete the plumbing and filtration system. For months we dealt with the new pond syndrome but Eric was always checking in and helping us through our issues with advice and troubleshooting all of our problems. Even when one of the filters began to leak, his crew quickly Came to look at our equipment and fixed what was needed. I would def recommend The Pond Digger for any of your pond needs.

Fantastic experience: I called this rescue because I had a black vulture arrive on my door step today. Fish and Game gave me the phone # to this rescue and Leslie was accepting with open arms. I brought her the culture and she was very kind and even agreed to update me on his health. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a misunderstanding with Eric and wrote a negative review, however, since then Eric contacted me and we had a discussion on the matter and the matter has been satisfactorily resolved. Eric sent two of his guys out for the day and they fixed the problem plus did more work that I considered to be above and beyond. The guys were very professional and were eager to make me happy, which they did. Thank you Eric and I plan on having you do a monthly service call in the future to keep the pond working in the best possible condition.

Fantastic experience: They are a ranch. They are a contractor. They are a wildlife rehabilitator also. I recently dropped off a baby Great Horned Owl that i found walking on the center island of a busy street last weekend . They will take care of it until it learns to fly and then release it in the same area where i found it. There are many big trees there. It will be safe. Great job ladies. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place! They have some farm animals that you can pet, and they have many options for water features and fountains and small ponds and decks! They also have an assortment of fish and pond cover plants. They are very knowledgeable if you need advice on your own home fountains or ponds! I definitely recommend them!

She was there for me every step of the way. The Pond Digger did not just sell me a product and leave me to figure it out. Negative experience: Honestly I’m happy with the people the farm I bought my fish was beautiful and I was happy but I bought a fish that I was told was injuries on the top fin and was told it would heal.The next few days after I bought the fish’s the fish that was “injuried” was actually fish and had a deadly bacteria which kill all the new fish I bought from the farm and my previous fish that I had been raising dead the following day after I tried curing the sick fish. I’m very disappointed because I had two 12 inch Kio’s that were beautiful and they died which made me very upset and disappointed I tried my best to cure my fish but there was so much I can do. I lost a total of a 1000 dollars worth of fish and I’m very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I met this guy 20 years ago. Our kids went to school together and soon after while remodeling the backyard we decided to do a pond skeptical at first thought it was expensive. But after 18 years it’s still up and running the money was well worth it. There is no one out there they could do a better job. Fantastic experience: We had a small wildlife pond as well as a pondless water feature installed by The Pond Digger in 2020. After the El Dorado Fire ravaged the mountain behind our home, we were pleased to be able to provide refuge for so many critters such as owls, hawks, bobcats, quail and killdeer to name a few. We are so pleased with this addition to our yard that we have scheduled our little oasis to be remodeled and enlarged. We love The Pond Digger’s crew and their attention to detail. Their love for wildlife is right up my alley and if you are interested in drawing wildlife into your yard, a water feature customized for your situation should do the trick!

Fantastic experience: I will never forget the first time I met Eric. I had just discovered I had a working pond at my new home. I stopped at Pond Digger for a few "mosquito eater" fish. Eric met me at the front door - he was closing up for the day. He asked me what I was looking for, put his trip home on hold, talked with me about my pond, bagged me up a few fish, and said, "pay me when you come buy some gold fish or Koi." Wow! I met Leslie not long after. She help me select several beautiful gold fish, instructed me on how to feed them, how to care for my water, and what to look for when assessing the health of my pond. It was the first of what would be many, many consultations with Leslie. After several years my pond started to seem a little small. Eric consulted on a new pond, his great crew tore out the old (taking tender care of my fish during their home remodel) and built me a slightly bigger, and much nicer, pond. Fantastic experience: We absolutely love our pond! Eric Triplett, "The Pond Digger", knows how to build beautiful ponds that are also easy to maintain. We wanted to replace a failed pond done by a different contractor. From our first meeting with Eric and his wife, Leslie, at the Pond Digger Ranch all of our concerns and objectives were addressed and solutions proposed. He created a design that blended with and complemented our existing backyard landscaping. Eric and his cheerful crew performed like a well oiled machine to complete the job in a timely manner, and the result has surpassed all expectations. The pond is beautiful at any time of the day, from morning breakfasts on the patio to serene evenings watching the koi swimming in the underwater lighting with the illuminated waterfalls in the background. We truly have an oasis in our backyard.

Vendo from Southern California flock to this wonderful location, there is I believe and animal sanctuary, I could be mistaken. But they have farm animals, and other animals as well. Negative experience: Never call with any questions!!! The lady who answered my call today was rude and had an attitude problem. She talked to me like I was stupid. Seriously lady just because I didnt understand something doesn't mean I'm stupid. I had a pond question that's all. I'm not a pond expert just like you're not a customer service expert...

Fantastic experience: I used their services to help me design my koi pond about six years ago. Leslie was very helpful and I've loved my pond for years now. Their products are quality and have held up well. They aren't inexpensive, but since they hold up, they are worth the cost. The best thing about working with The Pond Digger, is that they have been there to turn to when problems arise. Anyone who owns a pond, knows eventually problems arising is inevitable. I can't always get someone on the phone immediately, they are busy operation, but with a little perseverance I have got the assistance that I needed! I would highly recommend the business to anyone considering building a pond and for pond owners who are just looking to upgrade or maintain their ponds. They are in Southern California and I am in Northern California so I haven't been able to visit their shop in person, but it is on my to-do list the next time I'm down that way! They also have tons of videos online, the owner Eric has spent a lot of time in trouble and trying to simplify the process of building your pond and his videos are fantastic.

Negative experience: Eric (Pond Diggers) came out and was very convincing about his personal extensive experience and assured us that he would be personally supervising all aspects of the project from start to finish. Also, he explained that they weren’t the cheapest, however, they had the experience and a sharp eye for detail, that his competitors lacked. On the strength of that we signed a $10 K contract and the work began. Immediately after the work started, Eric was not on site and was unavailable to discuss any of the details about the pond. We were only able to interact with the unsupervised workers, who were not present at any of the meetings where all of the details agreed upon. Something that was supposed to be a enjoyable experience turned out to be a miserable experience, because of Eric’s absence. For example, the rock and mortar retainer wall that was built behind the waterfall is now cracking and rocks are separating because of poorly compacted earth. Also, an overflow drain was never installed and whenever a heavy rain occurs, the pond overflows and floods the patio area. An overflow drain leading into the yard drain system which drains out to the street should have been installed during the construction phase of the pond. To deal with this design defect, I have to go out and drain the pond onto the landscaped areas of the yard, which causes a mess. This pond cannot be left unattended during times of heavy fall. Even the basic size and shape of the pond and waterfall that Eric and we agreed to didn’t happen because he wasn’t on the job. The workers continually kept trying to morph the agreed to design into something that was easier and more convenient for them to construct. These are just some of the major fundamental elements of the project that were overlooked, that any competent contractor would have never overlooked. In retrospect, I should have shut down the project and not allowed anymore work to be done until Eric was back on the job and the work could proceed as we had originally agreed to. I would never recommend Pond Diggers to anyone who wants a professional job done without a lot of stress and grief. The terms “Buyer Beware” and “Bait and Switch” comes to mind whenever I think of them.

Fantastic experience: Good time kicked back watched the men build and had great a bbq lunch got a sweatshirt and visited their variety of animals they had koi for sale and tons of pond equipment.

Positive experience: Amazing company! This team is comprised of nothing but hard workers and you can tell they love their job! Eric was very flexible with our build - the perfect mix of professional and down to earth. I felt like we were friends by the end of the project. (And he did do a lot to recommend quality local contractors for a few different things we needed, like electrical, to help us know we weren't being taken advantage of.) The team built out a beautiful pond for our two turtles, which they absolutely love! The process was quicker than I expected, a testament to their knowledge and expertise. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is the cost. They do AMAZING work, but it is NOT cheap. That being said, 6 months after install, I had concern of a minor leak, and they sent someone out to take a look and repaired at no cost. All that to say, if you're looking for the best team to install a custom water feature/pond in SoCal - you absolutely want these guys!

Negative experience: Just want to share my recent customer care experience with pond digger. After reading great reviews on line, I went to their store in Yucaipa two weeks ago to request a site visit to have a water fall on my backyard in their neighboring city. The girl at the store collected my info and told me that she will give it to BRANDON and he will call me. I waited one week and there is no news from BRANDON. So I called the store and the girl who picked up the phone told me she will make sure BRANDON will call me. Finally got a call from BRANDON that day evening and due to bad cell reception where he was at that time, we couldn't talk. He send me text and told me that he will confirm the visit within two days. Once we finalized visit, BRANDON started changing the appointments. I wanted these guys to advise me on the specifics of the water feature before I can have concrete guys starts their work. Today, finally I spend my entire afternoon waiting for BRANDON, but as usual he was busy and couldn't come to my appointment. So finally I took my decision to have my business goes to someone who has time and punctuality. I am really afraid that if I award BRANDON the contract to build my water feature, it may not get complete on time as he is very busy. Anyway, sorry to vent my frustrations here. I don;t know where else I can reach the real people behind this POND DIGGER as everyone is referring to BRANDON who seems to be elusive. I practically wasted my two weeks for these guys and now I have to rush to get my concrete work done. I believe I lost the opportunity to plan and build an awesome water feature in my backyard because of these guys. They might be really good at what they do, but I hope they take care of their customers little bit better.
