Fantastic experience: This is an updated review, where I have much more knowledge towards aquariums: This is my local fish store (lfs), and I'm glad that it is. This fish store provides many options for fish, for example, common ones like bettas and goldfish, some monster fish like arowanas, and MANY small species such as tetras. The fish are of excellent quality and are much better than chain stores or other fish stores in the area. The only thing that lacks in this fish store is plants. There are a couple, such as java ferns and Cryptocorynes, but honestly doesn't have a wide variety compared to other fish stores such as the Pacific Aquarium & Plant, but I can't complain since this is a pretty small establishment. It also has all the tools you need, from tanks, to medicine, to food, to wood, (you get the point). Don't even get me started on the owner. He's talented and knows what he's doing, and helped me when I needed help with my aquarium. This fish store is definitely worth trying.

Fantastic experience: Took my daughter (aged 7) for her first fish for her 10 Gallon tank. Best place to purchase freshwater fish for fishtanks in BK. The owner was helpful, informative, and kind! Will be back soon. Shaun

Positive experience: They didn't display the kuhli loaches properly here but I've got mine here and they are healthy and happy. Love this spot they are very patient and helpful.

The tank leaked when I was filling it .I contacted them and spoke to Michael who was very nice he told me not to worry they would send another tank. Well that day I received a notification that another was on the way. Would recommend this store to everyone

Fantastic experience: We went to surprise our toddler with her first pet fish and actually left with 2 gold fish and an aquarium. We all had a great time! The owner was EXTREMELY WELL INFORMED about the fish and what was required. He was able to get us set up with fish that was more our speed, until we have enough experience to get other species.

Fantastic experience: Very healthy fish and large selection, lots of beautiful cichlids (South American and African) and all kinds of lovely koi. Great customer service, high quality foods and supplements, variety of equipment and nice tank backgrounds. And, dependable hours!! My new favorite LFS.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and knowledgeable owner. Fish prices are very reasonable, tanks are clean, and the fish always looked healthy, literally the trifecta of a good aquarium shop. They offer frozen foods, and a small selection of plants. they also have jumbo clown loaches for you to preorder during the summer months (!!!) if you leave a deposit.

Fantastic experience: The owner is very knowledgeable about fish and takes great care of them. He's not scared of giving you recommendations and likes talking about fish-related topics. All the fish I've bought from the store are healthy (he quarantines them before selling), and they are reasonably priced as well as having a great selection of fish, although it really depends what has been sold out - so you'll have to just ask what's available or when the next shipment of the particular fish you want is coming in. This fish store is way better than the nearby Petco where I see dead fish all the time in their tanks.

Fantastic experience: THE superior Brooklyn fish store. Extremely clean and well maintain tanks with healthy fish. I got a clown loach and barb ~6 weeks ago, and added some mollies from another store and they were all sick and died within a week. These guys aren’t made to sell they’re made to live. Barb and Loach are still going strong so we picked up bottom feeders, moonlight and honey gouramis, a geo. The owner is extremely helpful and informative, and will give you the exact fish you ask for when you pick them out. No other choice this place is the best!

Fantastic experience: Old school store that sells a variety of freshwater and seawater fish. The person at the counter was knowledgeable about Beta fish and tank cleanings...we came in and brought guppies for our existing Beta fish as companions!

Fantastic experience: One of the few neighborhood fish store still open that's not petland or Petco. Been going to this fish store since Mr. Tam used to own this store and pass it along to his nephew. I still remember the small room in the back was used to house pet birds, and other tiny pets, but it's now a room to treat sick fish. The backyard of the store was used to store unused tanks and other pet items. I only know this because it was always left open when Mr. Tam own the store. The fish tanks are actually cleaned daily, and quality of the fish are pretty good. Probably due to the pandemic the koi pond in the front of the store was removed. I used to breed angels, albino bristle nose pleco, and crystal shrimps, and trade to them for fish gear and fish food. Like most pet fish stores, they carry the usual fish like tetras, plecos etc. Occasionally, they'll carry more rare varieties like pygym cories, pearl angels, and different designer guppies. Sometimes they might even carry feeder guppies of the endler species.

Fantastic experience: Having purchased fish that has survived and not get sick from here - recommended! They do treat the fish they receive so there's a smaller chance purchasing a fish will get your existing tank sick. The staff is very knowledgeable and will just share information of the hobby which is useful to a fish in owner. Fish deliveries are Monday but they recommend purchasing after Wednesday so you'll have a better chance of buying a healthy fish.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend and I are the proud owners of Coney Island carnie goldfish and Ming was the absolute best! He shared valuable information about goldfish and aquarium care. He even did a demonstration for us on how to properly clean a tank. We will definitely be lifelong customers… or at least as long our goldfish stay alive!

Fantastic experience: The only place I buy fish for my aquarium (never ever will I put a fish from the diseased Petland discount tanks in my aquarium!) I have been buying fish exclusively from this store for years now, all fish are healthy and clean.
