Fantastic experience: Greg and his son both are extremely knowledgeable about the hobby both at the entry level and the extreme enthusiast level; while seeking advice regarding carbon dosing, acclimation and quarantine, I spoke with Greg Sr, who invited me to look at the sting ray they were treating that had some form of parasitic isopod. He extensively researched the type of parasite, stages of infection and risks for removal, before leveraging a form anesthesia and freshwater dips to safely remove the parasite. I also have had multiple experiences with fish I wanted to purchase that had a rough time in shipping, or came in skinnier than expected. Greg always ensures that the fish that go out the door are healthy and in good condition and won’t sell a dish he doesn’t feel confident in. I’ve never had a doubt in the years we’ve been coming here, and for my family, that timeline spans decades.

Negative experience: Was in the area and went with my son. No "Hello" or "Can I help you find something" or any other type of acknowledgement that we even existed. Tanks are dirty, corals are basic, store is a mess. So we drove to Macedonia and I spent my money at a different store.

Fantastic experience: I live in Columbus and my best friend came to visit from Florida. We decided to drive up to Cleveland for the day to tour all the fish stores and this was the second one we went to that day. This store was awesome! Outside in a greenhouse area there were Cardinals breeding in a huge tub and some super cool big plants. Inside there was a ton of cool fish and corals. Everything looked super healthy and there was a great amount of diversity. I met Greg (the owner) while we were walking around and he was very nice and knowledgeable. When he saw my friend and I were interested in old aquarium books he even took us to the back where he had a bunch more to choose from. Definitely a great store to visit and A+ service!

Fantastic experience: Been going to Aquatic Tech for over a decade. Greg and Greg Jr. really know their stuff and it shows. There's a massive selection of livestock at all times, along with a solid dry goods array. If you're just getting into saltwater fish keeping, starting to dabble in corals or a seasoned hobbyist - this is a great place to shop.

Negative experience: my boyfriend and I drove pretty far to see this store. he loves corals and today is his birthday. right when we walked in my boyfriend said “hello” in a friendly tone and the worker basically ran off. we met greg and he was so rude its crazy. he only got more “friendly” when he realized we were buying something. then, making small conversation, my boyfriend talked about how he is in school for HVAC. Greg had a conversation with him but everything he said was backhanded. he made up prices on the spot and acted like he couldn't care less if he got our business or not. you think for being the biggest saltwater fish store in ohio you would be more friendly, guess not. we will not be returning to this establishment. make sure if you go here you get them on a good day I guess.

Staff is nice and selection is great whether looking for fish, rocks, corals or equipment this shop has it!! We live about 2.5 hours from this store but stop every year when we come into town for the coral show and love visiting this shop so much!! Highly recommended stopping and checking it out.

Fantastic experience: I have been a customer of Aquatic Technology since i was around 16 and am now 40. They have always been extremely helpful and have had everything i need. I recently finished the new reef build of my dreams its finally cycled and ready to rock! Thanks to Greg and staff for all the help!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Walked around trying to buy fish and coral with my son. No one could be bothered to ask if we needed help or anything. When ever we tried to get attention they would turn away. I get it if your busy but we were the only ones in there with 3 people working. When I'm planning to spend 500 plus dollars and cant get help there is a serious problem. Since when is a pet store not helpful?

Negative experience: Owner extremely rude and pushy asked how to feed fish he said idk pellets or something and it won't eat from top of water then just said do you want it? Very pushy and unprofessional also dead fish floating in tanks would not recommend save your money!!!

Fantastic experience: Greg and Katie (owner and manager) go out of their way to help and go above and beyond to make sure that their customers are happy. Not only are they great but their prices are amazing! I have found that their prices on both fish and supplies are extremely fair being that most of their competitors charge more for the exact same thing. I highly recommend this store for all your saltwater needs!

Negative experience: It was okay. As new reefers we didn’t receive any help. Nobody was walking around, we honestly didn’t see anyone working while we were here and it was filthy. Walking through to look at tanks, we had to step over equipment. Some fish were kept in extremely small tanks. The only blue tang they had looked like it was in a 10 gallon tank. I felt bad. We were interested in one of the tanks but after being there for 20 minutes with nobody around we just decided to leave.

Fantastic experience: This place is definitely the place to go for equipment hands-down. Looking forward to utilizing such a selection as far as marine products. They have some amazing displays as well as some difficult marine fish to find. Macro algae’s, corals, and live rock. Really looking forward to coming around here more often. Wish I had more time when I went. A friendly and knowledgeable staff made the hour drive worth it with great pricing. Greg was wonderful as well and I would love to pick his brain as his knowledge is expansive and he seems straight forward and no nonsense. Top 3 marine stores in the state no question at all. Look forward to my next trip as you have to be a sponge in this career and hobby to succeed and Greg has the knowledge any marine fish keeper would be envious of as well as foolish not to take note of any advice given. Fantastic experience: We love it! We have been going there for many years and everybody is just so nice and helpful. They helped us completely start a wonderful tank from scratch. We have some problems with the fish being aggressive and they gave us a full refund and took him back! All the workers, specifically Greg, the owner and Katie are always so helpful! I would recommend the store over any of the fish stores in the area (including aquatics and rms aquaculture)

Negative experience: I give it 2 stars due to the fact 2 young adults were helpful. Retail side was FILTHY. Just disgusting. It looked as thought everything over on the right side of the store was used or old. I could barely find the "check out" register. Once I did, I waited over 5 minutes while the tall older man saw me as I waited, but completely ignored me. So I put my chemicals down and left. The fish are pretty cool however, again, not well. Kept. I will continue to go to AQUATICA in Valley CIty. They are great there and the store is CLEAN!

Fantastic experience: Been going here a long time. I can't say it is perfect here but the staff knows their stuff the fish and corals are healthy. They always have cool stuff. In the end they are there to sell fish and corals. They do that really well. I have read the reviews and some talk about the owner. All my years going out there I can say he has never been bad to me. He is ALWAYS HELPFUL. Yes he can be short but certainly not rude or anything like that. Give the place a chance it's cool. They always have a good selection of used stuff too. You just have to look around educate yourself about what you want to purchase. They have been doing this a long time. They know what they are doing. Yes quarintine your fish from here and EVERYWHERE ELSE TOO...duh! Anyway thanks for the many years of just coming and looking at all your cool stuff. And many many greats fish....

Negative experience: The owner is horribly rude. I loathe having to speak to him because he is always so negative and constraint acts like he knows all. The owner's son is much nicer. The only reason I have it 2 stars is they often have larger fish that can be difficult to find in some stores.

Fantastic experience: I called the store on a Thursday evening in a panic (I had never been there or called before because it is an hour away from me). The owner Greg answered the phone. I explained to him my dilemma of another fish store on the east side had starting installing my new 90 gallon reef system the night before and they were totally unprepared. They left me Wednesday night late and said they would be back the next day and were no shows. Greg came out the next night after I got off work (drove an hour in a snow storm to my house) and spent 7 hours and completed my whole set up. Explained how everything worked and was extremely helpful. I never met him before. But when I called in a panic he let me FaceTime him so he can see everything that was done and what needed to be finished. He was amazing. He blows the biggest saltwater store in the east side way out of the water with pricing and customer service. I can’t wait to drive out and see his store. Greg you were awesome to come bail me out like you did. I’m extremely appreciative. I look forward to a long lasting business relationship with you. Thank you again.

Negative experience: I passed by this place a few times before deciding to look inside. The tanks with fish in them are not clean and have algae all over the inside and in the pumps, when I tried talking to the guy over the counter, he made it clear that he was too busy and was annoyed. He wouldn't even look up to talk with me when he gave his very short responses. They do have some nice fish but their customer service is why I'll never come back, thanks to "Mr. Personality"

Fantastic experience: I don’t come here often because it’s kinda far from me, but when i do make the hike i enjoy it. Both older Greg and young Greg are very nice and always welcoming to me when I come. Both are also very knowledgeable on fish. Great variety and at a great price.

Fantastic experience: This place is fantastic! Fascinating variety of rare interesting and unusual saltwater fish and sea life. Owner is a veritable encyclopedia of marine life knowledge, and has absolutely anything and everything you need for your aquarium . Very helpful too.

Fantastic experience: We had Aquatic Technology build and install a custom acrylic aquarium for us. They also built a custom aquarium stand and canopy. Their workmanship was excellent and we really loved the set up. They have been providing the aquarium maintenance for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in yesterday to buy some corals for a newly cycled tank. The girls were more than happy to answer any questions we had and even went out of their way to call the owner to get prices on a few things while he was out. Prices were good/average for the corals I was looking for, can't say for other corals though. All in all excellent customer service will be back again!

Fantastic experience: I've been to a lot of aquarium stores, and this place blows them all away. You can't really even call it an aquarium store, it's like visiting a public aquarium that is free. Beautiful saltwater fish you can get up close to and check out. Its a nice place to visit during the winter, its warm and humid inside. Definately check it out!

Negative experience: I bought a fish and it died on the way home, I live 10 minutes away. The guy kind of insinuated that me or my kid dropped it. They didn't even offer anything for my trouble. Nice coral but I won't be buying my fish from here.

Fantastic experience: I'm extremely new to the hobby, and extremely cautious. So I always go straight to the owner when I want to know something. My boyfriend and I have spent so much time talking this man's ear off, and he is always more than happy to help.

Negative experience: Nice selection, but!!! You MUST quarantine the fish purchased here. We did not and what a huge mistake. We lost all of the saltwater fish we had in our reef tank just 1 week after adding the angelfish we purchased from here. Hundreds of dollars down the drain and we'll need to leave out tank empty for "70+ days" to clear out the velvet parasite. We are devastated. We had our fish for a long time and never had and issue or even lost a fish, all purchased at another local saltwater shop and LiveAquaria. Be careful!!!!
