Fantastic experience: Amazing place!!! My mom & I went in here for the first time today to donate some cages and there are soooo many awesome animals there. Malibu is a must see! The MOST beautiful Macaw I've ever seen. She's super friendly too. The owner was very kind and opened some cages for us to see better. Definitely a place you'd want to stop by and check out if you're in Yulee! Give Malibu my lovins ❤️

Fantastic experience: We came down from Ga just for a feeder mouse and got a rat instead and an education too! Definitely will be back and recommend to anyone looking for unique critters or supplies for the ones you already have.

Negative experience: Place is incredibly dirty, roaches throughout, not good animal husbandry. Also no signs but they definitely have cats, whole place reeked of cat piss and was bad enough to give my wife an allergic reaction. Please do not question what my wife is allergic too for God's sake. She's a Dr and knows what she is allergic too. As far as husbandry where to begin, multiple cohabiting of different species that do not have the same requirements, filthy bird cages, turtles have no way to get out of the water to even thermoregulate properly. Please do better.

Fantastic experience: The owner is extremely knowledgeable and and was able to answer all the questions I had on getting my daughter setup with her first bearded dragon.. everything from lighting to feeding, substrate and how to make this fun and EASY for the family(my setup which is pictured and the tools I use to clean are basically what sam does and who better to get a system from than someone who takes care of 100 or so reptiles). I really like buying a pet from a place where it is being well cared for and sam and his staff take good care of all the animals!!!! With his advice and tips it's been a lot less stressful and a lot more fun for my daughter and me so I highly recommend checking them out!!

Fantastic experience: After visiting multiple shops over the course of a week or so I have to say that this is by far the best shop that I visited. The owner was very knowledgeable and cared. I was pleasantly surprised by the care he takes of all of the animals and how well maintained everything seemed to be. He definitely knew his stuff and based on the prices at other shops he is reasonably priced as well considering how healthy everything in the shop seems to be. He definitely deserves the attention of people looking for a new pet and I hope that more people visit him and his shop.

Fantastic experience: I have come here quite a few times now and couldn’t be more impressed with the place and the service. I bring my 4 year old daughter here almost weekly now to come see the exotic animals Sam has and to pick up food for her frogs. The owner really seems to love what he does. He always takes time to answer my daughter’s questions and tell her about the different animals. The place is in great shape and he takes great care of all of the animals there. He has a great selection of reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, and a few other small pets like ferrets and hedgehogs. There is not much in our area for little ones to see stuff like this, so this place is a real gem for me to find. Take time to swing by and check this guys place out.

Fantastic experience: i loved this store! went their with friends family and everything there was so pretty and amazing to see. i love snakes and sam has everything! i know he takes good care of these fellows. i definitely had a favorite snake hehe. one thing i was too scared to ask, are we allowed to pick some of the animals up, even if we’re just looking? i can’t get a pet yet since i haven’t moved out of my papas house, but i love holding snakes.

Fantastic experience: Sam's is an amazing place to find reptiles you want! We went and got a mouse for a snake. Prices are reasonable and the animals are well cared for. The parrot is very vocal and very nice.

Fantastic experience: We were so excited to stumble across this amazing store! We walked in and were immediately in awe! The collection of exotic amphibians, reptiles & birds is easily the coolest experience we’ve ever had in one place so close to home! Sam the owner, had a little bit of everything! We came in inquiring mainly out of curiosity and the interest of owning a chameleon & we were blown away! We had never seen such a variety & of all ages! Sam answered every question and was incredibly knowledgeable, even though he was busy with customers and it was towards closing he still was extremely patient with our little girl and let her hold and pet just about anything that wouldn’t bite! We came the next day and purchased a chameleon & another praying mantis for our daughter! We look forward to being regular visitors & customers. Fantastic experience: This pet store almost qualifies as a zoo in my book! Such a well kept place and all of the animals are loved and cared for so well! We spent atleast an hour here!!! Lizards, chameleons, snakes, birds, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hedgehogs, sugar gliders.

Fantastic experience: I drove by this place for years and it never looked appealing to me but then one day I decided to stop in and I was very glad I did. I have not been to their new location yet but the old location was extremely well stocked with amazing pets. Sam is always a pleasure to speak with and is very knowledgeable on the things in his store. If you’re looking for a new pet, information on a current pet, or supplies for your pet…this is the place to go! Support local, shop small (it’s better than the big boxes for multiple reasons!)

Fantastic experience: At the time of this review, it doesn’t look like much on the outside but I think that they recently renovated. However, on the inside, there is a good selection of animals, from snakes, lizards, frogs, birds, rodents, and some fish. The guy who greeted us inside, who I think was the owner, was a pleasure to talk to. He took his time to answer all of my questions and even let me hold the snakes I was interested in. Overall, a good experience! Would recommend to anyone interested in exotic pets.

Fantastic experience: This is our go-to place, we have bought snakes from Sam. We also buy everything for them and our bearded dragon. Sam's help is helpful and knowledgeable, and Sam is the best. Everyone always talks to my girls and teaches them something new each week we go in their. His prices are as good or better in most cases than the box pet stores, and better yet, he's a local small business. If you haven't stopped in, you really should.

Fantastic experience: We got rerouted because of an accident so we stopped here for a bit. There are birds, frogs, snakes, geckos, chameleons, hamsters, fish and more. Plus a big friendly dog that kept checking in to make sure we were finding everything okay.

Fantastic experience: Very personable. A please where you can interact with the animals. Staff very knowledgeable. Now as far as prices, they are high for my liking but these seems to be the prices for the southern states. Where I'm from, the animals are almost half the price.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Wish I remembered Sam’s right-hand-man’s name! Anyways, he was very patient with us. We needed several things, and advice on how to rear tadpoles— as our frogs from Sam’s are now around a year old and should begin laying soon. He showed us how to take care of the eggs and tads step-by-step. He also patiently waited on us as we got distracted by all the cool animals while shopping. Love visiting this place. Fantastic experience: Sam is awesome I love coming in and looking around he’s got a huge assortment of different animals all the tanks are highly elaborate and you can tell just by looking that he loves what he does and he’s full of helpful knowledge, he offered me advice on how to care for my gecko and even gave me samples of food for him to try, I definitely won’t go anywhere else no other pet shop around has as much of a variety to care for and house reptiles

This young lady knows anything and everything about every little and big exotic pet in the shop. I'm totally impressed and blown away by her knowledge! Dad is bringing her up right and should be very proud of her! The selection is great! This place is packed with a big selection in a small space. You can spend a lot of time in there seeing exotics you've never seen before. You won't get the service or selection out of any big box chain store that you'll get here. Negative experience: This poor bunny has been here for months and is kept in filth. He is in a fish tank surrounded by his feces and slipping on his own urine trying to move. This is not a proper rabbit set up or diet. I don't see any hay which is 80% of their diet. This is awful!!

Fantastic experience: First went to PetCo and they didn't have much of a selection of Plecos. We bought one and we call him Mr. Clean. Happy to support a local non chain business. A big assortment of critters. The doves and yellow canary welcomed us with quite a melody.

Fantastic experience: Just purchased a huge Dumpey Whites tree frog and this is one huge and beautiful frog, very pleased. Also purchased a very good looking sulcata tortoise, also very beautiful. Owner is very very nice.

Sam is so knowledgeable and he never rushed me (even with my million questions, lol) he has all the products you'll need for any animal you get from him. We got a sulcata tortoise from him today, he even has fresh greens so you dont have to worry with what to feed your new baby. He has lots of different frogs, bearded dragons, snakes, fish, and birds too. His place is a true gem! I would definitely recommend this place, we are customers for life!
