Negative experience: Meh. There is competition out there. There is great variety here, for sure, and as one reviewer stated, it's a great place for fish, and fish only, but personality-wise, the owner can be volatile and hostile toward customers, and that's just not an atmosphere I want to negotiate, let alone contribute to monetarily. I don't care about supporting the small business owner if they do not treat all customers with respect. First of all, do not haggle with this guy. It will clearly piss him off. I didn't, however another customer in the store tried to, being from a culture where haggling is normal (Southeast Asian I believe). He met the wrath of the proprietor, who called him a jerk and yelled at him to get out of his store. I think the approach could have been handled better by simply stating that all prices are set. That's it. Then, help the other customer (me), rather than getting into a shouting match with a customer. It created a very uncomfortable atmosphere and totally killed my positive vibe for the day. I still bought some fish but the sale was awkward and I felt put on notice to be wary of other unknowns that might piss this guy off. His patience is limited, to say the least. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about it. There are other fish stores around that I can and will go to for my needs, without worry of unprofessional personality defects from the owner. Best of luck to this proprietor and his anger management.

Negative experience: Bought 6 baby red cap oranda goldfishes here on Sunday 8/10/25. Fishes were beautiful. Just had 1 problem. There was 1 of the red cap oranda in the pond that was sick & its tail was shredded. I didn't want that one. I went arround to look at other fishes while owner catched the fishes for me. When paying, I asked him again if he gave me that sick fish & he confirmed he did not. It was my fault that I did not check the bag carefully. The sick fish was in there. Very disappointed. I'm trying my best to save it now. If you plan to buy fishes here, make sure you check them carefully before paying. My first time buying first from this place, will also be my last. Beautiful fishes but I can't support this business.

Fantastic experience: This is an AMAZING fish store! I have never been in a fish store and seen so many healthy happy fish! The owner, Peter, is very knowledgeable as well as kind and patient! It's been over 20yrs since I've had a tank and Peter was willing to take the time to discuss my best options, test my water and select the fish that would be best for me. Such a rarity these days.. an honest businessman! This is the place to go if you're into fish!!!

Negative experience: I prefer to support local businesses, but I won’t be back at this shop. Owner did not greet me when I entered.. I walked around for maybe 15 minutes and was never checked on. I eventually decided to inquire about a couple of fish. The owner turned me down and went on a several minutes long tangent about how I am essentially uneducated in fish keeping and what I want is not possible. Just an uncomfortable, uninviting energy and based on the other reviews I am not the only one feeling this way.

Fantastic experience: Friendly store and lots of fish to choose from. Prices were very reasonable and the shop was clean. I'll definitely be back for a few things when I'm ready. They had a large variety of just about anything you need for home aquatics

Negative experience: The owner that answered the phone was super rude. I was just asking prices for certain types of fish and he got all mad lmfao. The owner really needs to learn customer service tactics I do not recommend this store. Now he could of been having a bad day but with my experience he just lost a customer.

Negative experience: This place deserves no starts if there was an option. I’ve been in the hobby for years and I would consider myself not a beginner. Recently I went to the store on a Saturday morning and came in at 10:15 or so, open hours according to the stores hours. The owner wasn’t there and there was someone else at the store buying fish food. This person asked about the owner, but we both had no idea where he was. The store had its lights on and the door was unlocked btw. This other guys got tired of waiting so leave money on the counter to pay for his food and leaves. He mentioned he called the owner and sent him a picture of where the money was. Another customer comes in right after that, asked about the owner, I mentioned what had just happened we both waited as I wanted to buy two mini monsters. This new customer calls the owner several times and finally gets through. About 10:30 or so the owner shows up (Peter) and is very upset cursing f bombs about who let us into the store and why we were there even though we knew he wasn’t there. I explain to him that the door was unlocked and that the business hours showed it to be open at 10 am on the weekend. This guy was very upset about the store being robbed, I guess he wanted to call myself and the other customers currently at the store thieves but didn’t. After he calmed down I asked about those two fish I wanted to get. He said that one (clown knife) he wasn’t selling because he had it for over two years and no one wanted to buy it and now people are interested all of the sudden and he didn’t want to sell it anymore, so I figured okay, Maybe sentimental connection. His business is to sell fish but whatever, I asked for a Datnoid in another tank, he said that there were two Datnoids in there and he was selling them as a pair because according to him they are schooling fish. I laughed in the inside as everyone who keeps this type of fish or is interested should know that this specific fish are solitary and would do better without competition of the same species in a tank. At that point I stopped trying and just left the store. Needless to say it’s sad that the store has an incredibly unprofessional owner/manager. I have come to the store a few times prior to my last visit as i am not from the area and I have heard him criticizing other customers right after they leave to other customers. I was really excited to have a store that sells mini monsters in the area. I usually get those kind of fish online but wanted to support the local store even though the prices are almost double for some of those fish I can find online. Definitely not coming back to this place.

Positive experience: Pretty great store, the guy working there really seemed to know his stuff. He had a beautiful blue cichlid I really want to get... I think I might go back for. Prices were pretty reasonable, I think there should be more shops like this, and less petcos

Fantastic experience: I love this place. Fish are healthy and Peter (the owner) is always helpful. He knows a lot about the fish he keeps and has the best selection of puffers, discus and plecos. Some rare guppies too!

Negative experience: i came here to exchange fish and i just lost money and no fish to exchange i tried to call him and he just saw my message and didn't reply i trusted him i bought a lot of money and he said wait for me to drain the water to get fish for you until now almost 2 months i still have fish

Fantastic experience: Peter is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the details of everything. He is extremely passionate, and our time spent was very educational and helpful. If you're looking to start small or go big, no matter what kind of setup you're looking for, absolutely go and see him before you go to any pet store. You're not going to receive a fraction of the informative help elsewhere that you receive from the 20 years of passion he has. We're looking to set up a large tank, and he told us from start to finish everything we would need and the best way to get started along with all the care and maintenance required to give us the full realistic picture of what we were getting into. 100% will be coming back once our tank is set up to continue doing business with him.

Negative experience: Fish are great, the owner is a bit intense, belittling, and rude. Didn't love the political talk, not sure what that has to do with selling me fish... Will over explain things in a demeaning tone but if you can get past that it's a great spot for fish and just fish. No frills, not even smiles, no joy- just fish. Hope ya find a better attitude or day dude! ✌

Fantastic experience: Peter’s the man. First off he loves and is very passionate about everything in his store. He’s extremely knowledgeable and friendly. As far as the store goes he has a great selection of hard to find fish including discus, at prices you only can get from someone who loves you. Most recently I purchased 50g low boy that I could only find online. Not even Petco or PetSmart had one in store nor online. I highly recommend Eurofish Aquatics I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. If nothing else you’ll shake a hand a meet a friend.

Negative experience: My wife and I are not aquarium experienced. Hence the reason we went to a highly rated aquarium fish store. This place had very high ratings on google. During our first visit, the owner recommended that we properly cycle the tank before introducing any fish. Then recommend and sold us a bottle of some kind of bacteria starter. We returned six days later, with the water sample. He tested the water, said that everything looks good, but that our pH levels were a little high around 7. Said that it should not be a problem and mumbled maybe some guppies, but then walked us over to some fish and recommend some neon tetras, a pleco, and a snail. We ended up getting 10 neon tetras, 1 pleco, and 1 snail. So we went home put the bag of fish on top of the tank water to let the temperature match. He recommended about 15 minutes we waited about 20 minutes. Open the bag, let the fish natural swim out. Everything looked OK fish were swimming around, everything seemed fine. After about three hours, we noticed a few of Neon tetras were not moving around! We counted about four dead after three hours! And then over the next 45 minutes to an hour, we watched another 3 die. So we put the dead fish back in the bag and headed back to the fish shop. Now this is when things start to get bad. Once we arrived back at the store, he was a little bit busy so we had to wait. Once he got to us, he started asking questions. I told him the temperature of our tank was 80° Would that be the problem? I asked that question because the tank the fish came out of was set at 85°. Then my wife said what about the pH level you told us it was kinda high but it was fine to put fish into. He goes. Oh yeah, I remember that. Sorry I’ve tested so many different samples today. And then went on and on about how the pH from his fish tank was six point something and that ours was seven point something and that’s enough to kill the fish. Even went as far and showed me the color of the testing samples from the tank with the neon tetras, and the tank next to his that with other fish, The second tank had the same pH color result as ours. So at this point, I’m just waiting for him to tell me how he’s gonna make this right because he basically sold me fish from his tank, that had a low pH rating, he knew it, and still sold me the fish knowing that my tank had a higher pH rating. He just tested my water five minutes before selling me the fish! He proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t his fault and it’s my fault for not researching. My wife walked up to me, whispered in my ear and said, let’s go now this isn’t worth it. After she did that, the guy said to us, yeah, talk in front of me you guys are rude. He doesn’t even know what she said to me! So after about five minutes or so of going back-and-forth, I could see he was not going to make things right so we left. Shortly after we left, maybe 20 minutes he sent me a text message and this is what it said, “I went above and beyond to help you guys with cycling your tank and the nitrogen cycle. I cannot control your tap/tank water ph. That's up to you. Most beginners do there own research on fish if they are soft water or hard water fish. Most beginners get there water testing kit, every aquarist should have a testing kit. You can successfully acclimate soft water fish to hard water fish over time. I'm not responsible to keep your fish alive other then when the are here happy and healthy before you tank responsibility in the live animals you purchase. If I by a puppy and it dies in my possession its not the responsibility of the person who sold me the dog to refund me. Good luck on your fish keeping. I tried giving you a free test kit. I didn't need to do that bit that wasn't good enough for you its not my fault you put the fish in a took a nap instead of watching the fish and properly acclimate them into new waters.” I do not recommend going here if anything goes wrong he will blame you. He will not accept ownership. Tread with caution and do all the testing you can from his tanks as well as yours.

Fantastic experience: Great aquatics store! I picked up some beautiful, healthy Red Rili Shrimp today and was impressed by their excellent selection of fish and shrimp. The tanks were clean, and everything looked well cared for. There are also a couple nice dogs to greet you at the store. I’ll definitely be back—next time with my wife and son, who I'm sure will enjoy checking out all the amazing puffer fish, shrimp and axolotls!

Negative experience: 10/10 would not recommend. First visit I explored and while he was talking with me about fish options he had a net full of dead fish he was fishing out during the conversation. I returned a day later and took a chance and while I was waiting on other customers I spotted dozens of dead fish in all the tanks. A tank full of red nose rummy tetra with at least a dozen and a half dead fish floating in the tank. A dead discus in his ram and neon tetra tank. Several skeletons of fish where they had died previously and the flesh was picked clean from other fish and several more miscellaneous dead fish in other tanks. I took a chance and bought two guppies. I have a fully cycled tank with around 20 other varying fish. Danios, mollies, a platy, apistogramma, doctor fish, pleco, Cory's etc. One new Guppy I bought from him died, the other was breathing very fast and staying in one spot. At the time of death on the first guppy ammonia was at 0, nitrites were at 0 and nitrates were only at 5ppm. I called and asked for any advice and received, 'I don't know what to say' as a response. I asked about the return policy and he told me 24 hours. Which in my experience most stores I've been to are 14 days in which he responded 'that's crazy.' He then proceeded to tell me the policy is 24 hours and if you bring in a sample of the water no more than 24 hours after the fact we can exchange for another fish. Twenty four hours gives no time for your fish to adjust and if they're diseased there is no way of knowing that fast. Tank water is superb and no other fish that I've had for months have ever had an issue and he can't accommodate two $4 guppies. Customer service is awful, knowledge is questionable considering at least 4 dozen dead fish I saw floating in the tanks or saw him fishing out within the two days I visited, most definitely will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: A man named PETE who Really Knows his fish. I visit the shop even when I don't need anything. The Reason "He has amazing new fish every time I visit." I purchased 4 mudskippers, they are amazing.

Fantastic experience: This shop is the real deal—no fluff, no upselling, just solid advice and healthy fish. The owner tells it like it is, which is not a given in this hobby, and I respect that. If you want quality livestock and straight-up honesty, this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I was greeted as soon as I entered the door, and the staff had extensive knowledge of aquirium setups, including tanks, filtration, substrate, plants, hardscape, and aquatic life. My kids loved looking at the axolotl and other exotic fish! When I was ready to check out, i was happy to see the prices were also half that of other aquascaping stores that I had been to even though the quality was equivalent. I will recommend this store to anyone I hear of looking for aquirium sales.

Always has an interesting puffer, bichirs, and rarer fish along with lots of the classics. Large selection of axolotl salamanders too. The owner is awesome and will happily order fish you can't find anywhere else.

Negative experience: I was really hopeful about visiting this store but its been a couple weeks since my visit and I want to leave a review about my experience in this shop. All of the positive reviews had me hopeful that I would find a good shrimp breeder but I was pretty disappointed to see pretty sizeable Planaria specimens swimming among the shrimp in the tanks(Definitely wasn't detritus . The Thai crab tank was dead and really sad. There was a number of other tanks being overtaken by algae and one tank that was so green I could only see the fish if they were right up against the glass. I wish I had taken a picture but I was honestly nervous that the owner might say something if he saw my phone. He had a pretty big ego and was loudly badtalking a customer who just left for asking questions about his supplies when I had arrived. I continued browsing and against my better judgement, asked a question about balancing my shrimp tank only to be told that it doesn't need systematic maintenance and being given a spiel about what an expert shrimp breeder he is and all the different type of shrimp he's bred. I can tell that Axolotls are probably his main income & my companion was bothered by the way they are being kept. They are arranged in three big tubs and individual stored in tiny boxes within the tubs. I get they're blind filter feeders but they deserve more than an empty box. My final straw was the excuse of the owner in regards to the odor of the place. Aquariums smell, it happens. There was an open tub of algae that was stinking up the place(on top of the odor of the tanks that needed cleaning). However, what's not cool is blaming the smell on your "African neighbors who decided to smoke a fish" and then giving us a spiel about how it's their fault for the smell. I can see how a newcomer might see this as a highly knowledgeable source but as someone who grew up around the animal industry, I was very much getting the same vibes as someone who runs a backyard breeding program except instead of cute puppies and kittens, its axolotls and shrimp. Overally, really disappointed and didn't want to write this review but I think people deserve to know who they are giving their money to. I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: Eurofish Aquatics easily the best fish shop I’ve ever been in. It is very well maintained which reflects the care and effort the owner puts into this place. The owner is very easy to talk to and highly knowledgeable about a wide range of fish species and aquatic plants. What really sets this store apart for me is the dedication to fish health. The numerous quarantine tanks around the top shelves of the shop tell me that the fish are carefully quarantined before being put up for sale and separated from the healthy ones should a fish ever get sick in the sale display tanks. This gives me peace of mind knowing I’m buying healthy, well cared for, respected fish. The hard/woodscape selections are abundant. They also carry very rare species here and there if you're into that. I always feel confident about my purchases here. Especially since they are partnered with aquarium co op. I highly recommend this store for any aquarist looking for quality products and expert advice.

Fantastic experience: First time in today and I was super impressed with the selection and the condition of the tanks. The owner was very knowledgeable and I was happy to wait while he took his time to help other customers with more complicated species. He sold me some of his beautiful java moss from a culture that he's been growing since the 90s, and I got some rummynose tetras for my big tank. The shrimps say thanks for the moss! I will definitely be back as I also love Aquarium Co-Op products and this shop carries those as well.

Negative experience: I spent 35-55 minutes with owner. I have 3 tanks. 180,150 and a 75. Tanks clean. Regular water changed. Top of nine filters. I raised discus for years never a problem. I purchased 4 fish from here to help keep tanks clean. Bought the fish he recommended. Even bought the bigger size ($75.00) each. Arowana killed 1 in less than 30 seconds moved to community tank with all small fish Yesterday another died and today the 3rd. Water quality is perfect temp is 78. $210 dollars gone in 10 days (he gave me a small discount for buying all 4). Less than 1 star.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. They carry a wide variety of fish, and regularly have something new and interesting alongside the staples you expect to see. Locally bred plecos and shrimp are always available. The new store is way larger and so nice. Last time I went in, the tanks weren’t all set up but the selection of fish was still larger than any other store in the area I have visited.

Fantastic experience: A nice sized shop with some larger than usual fish. Large beautiful tanks with colorful fish line the walls. They have recently moved and are not all the way set up yet, but I wouldn’t hold that against a business that is clearly still in process of finishing their move. We bought some cherry tetras and are the only people in the US that currently have them. The owner was a down to earth guy who was easy to talk to. It’s our new go-to fish spot!

Peter, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of fish species and has been in the hobby for decades. His healthy stock of fish is a testament to his credibility, and the shop’s recent move to a larger location has allowed for even more tanks to be established. I also recently rehomed a group of juvenile Kali Tawa rainbowfish here, and I feel confident they will thrive under his care. I highly recommend checking out this store for any aquarium needs!

Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable fish keeper here. I didn't really know what Iwas looking for I had an empty cycled tank and was ready to get a new fish in there he had many varieties and the predator fish were so beautifully kept! So healthy! We chatted quit a while and he showed my his many varieties of puffers that he realized I wanted more of a single fish species which he had many fresh water varieties. I settled on a unique one a hairy puffer fish! I'm super happy with what I got definitely check this place out!

Fantastic experience: Bought discus fish from here .. and I love them like anything … super healthy and genetically strong fish , I have kept my discus with lots of plants, gravel and other fish like neons and house bred guppies ! Discus are loving it , and growing very rapidly. Owner of this shop is such a nice guy, treating fish like hobby and not just business ! If you are in seattle - this fish shop is a must visit. So much better than petco , pet smart and many other local shops I hope he starts shipping his discus all across US if not already

Negative experience: I think the store is a gem and has had healthy stock the times I’ve been in. I was saddened when one of the employees berated a customer of the next door business for parking their car on the curb facing the “wrong” way. This employee used racial and homophobic slurs, telling the driver to “go back to his country”. Running a small business is tough but the behavior was rude and disrespectful

Fantastic experience: Amazing! The owner is very passionate and extremely knowledgeable. He treated everyone with a ton of respect (esp kids) no matter of experience level. There are some pretty amazing fish here and great prices too. He has connections with local breeders and is happy to track down hard to find species. One thing is he is almost too good with his attentiveness while helping you/others, so expect your visit to take a little more time (not a bad thing when surrounded by so many tanks). Don’t get me wrong, his great attitude, vast knowledge, and customer service is the best I’ve found. For me, it’s even more than enough to justify the drive up from Olympia.

Fantastic experience: I had a Great Experience visiting this place. I recently got a 36 gallon tank and went to this place to get the things I needed to set it up. The owner helped me figure out everything I needed and was really friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are great too! I will be coming back here to get my fish after my tank is fully cycled.

Fantastic experience: I have bought and sold several fish here. I bought a high 20 gallon tank. It’s two 10 gallons stacked on top of each other. An amazing purchase for $90 cash. Same counterspace, twice as tall. Almost impossible to walk out of this place without learning something. The owner seems to be some kind of discus wizard. They’ve got discus almost the size of a dinner plate. My only gripe is that they won’t get me some fish that they say can get them in trouble but other stores sell them. I hope this guy’s store is successful because he is the real deal.

I live all the way down at Auburn but driving all the way down there is worth it, his price on everything there, including food, decor, plants and the fish themselves aren’t too bad, he quarantines his fish as seen on the top shelf and they’re all in top health, so stop wasting your money at Petco and Petsmart and shop from here!!!

Fantastic experience: Nice new fish store Several tanks of African cichlids got me panda Frontosa nice plants and high quality accessories got a new breeder box. Regularly has live baby brine shrimp. Increablely beautiful Discus. variety of unique breeds about the best value in the South sound. Peter said he can order anything that I was looking for. I've included pics of the fry in the Java moss and mom she's a mouth brooder. Full circle just dropped off the fry 2-3 inches each

Positive experience: A diamond in the rough, this new aquarium store portends a great future and is a terrific addition for south-end aquarists. Everything you need for aquascaping at respectable pricing. Aquarium Co-op branded products saves me an hour's trip further north. Numerous tanks of healthy fish and invertebrates and spectacular discus. Emphasis on healthy! Will earn one more star when help is hired, as you have to wait your turn for assistance and in my experience that can mean a *long* wait. The owner Peter spends as much time with each customer providing excellent customer service and knowledgeable tios. However, you pass the time marveling at the amazing discus and other tanks while plotting your future purchases. Very interesting fish, plants and specialty plants sold here. There are no tanks for sale in the store, but I assume he could order them. Can't wait to see what comes in next! Will soon be a "regular"! Haha

Negative experience: Went in to euro fish and while he may have a decent display, half of his fish were sick. A lot of them had cloudy eyes and were breathing very fast. Some even looked like they had ick.

Fantastic experience: Super knowledgeable and overall great guy. Beautiful locally breed fishes and quality. Anyone that knows how to breed Discus knows how hard it is to keep water conditions and fish health at a pristine level! Very competitive prices and also does homemade Frozen food. My Tapajo's and Cichlid's love them beef heart mixes he has!

Positive experience: I went looking for blackworms because my axolotl wasn't eating its food. Though they were not selling blackworms, dude knew what he was talking about and offered me multiple solutions to save my axolotl. Now, he's eating again and I could not be more grateful. Besides dude being my saving grace, I'm sorry I can't remember his name, his shop was full of great fish of all sorts and sizes as well as plants and all of the supplies you would need to live the fishtank lifestyle. Even if you don't buy, the abundance of life is a beautiful sight and definitely worth the visit.

Fantastic experience: Finally made it up there yesterday and got some very prominent stripes Endlers to start a colony of. Nice little home like shop with a lot of locally bred fish. Left around noon and the restaurant next door smelled amazing. This could be a dangerous street corner for your wallet lol Have them in a temporary quarantine for now. Mainly because I need to set up a tank and I am officially out of floor space and have to build a rack now. Good problems to have

Fantastic experience: I used to have one mediocre fish tank at home, but after my many visits to Eurofish, I have upgraded to 3 tanks and am currently cycling my fourth! The animals and plants at this store are all wonderfully taken care of, and the selection is just mind blowing. Have you ever seen freshwater barracuda at a fish store?? Have you ever seen blue Kong crayfish?? Well, they do at Eurofish! Everything I've purchased (from plants to valves to fish food to snails) has been top quality, and the owner Peter always takes time to answer all my questions and give well thought out and considerate advice. Even when I wanted to impulsively purchase a lot of shrimp (and he probably could have made a larger profit from it), he listened to the state of my tank and suggested that I wait. His care for the fish and animals clearly trump any desire to make sales. I cannot speak highly enough of Eurofish. My only warning is that once you visit, you might end up like me - an aquarium enthusiast with 4 tanks and elaborate plans on getting more!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for quality Discus, there isn't another shop around that has better stock. Its well worth getting to know and talk to Peter about his history and expertise breeding and raising the Stendker line of Discus. Some of the most amazing fish I think I've ever seen in person are right here in this shop. I purchased 7 discus from him, and although they were not Stendkers, still stunning and very healthy fish that eat right out of your hand on a variety of different foods. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Edit for 2 photos of Discus approx. 6 months after purchase. All 7 still growing at about 5 inches.

Fantastic experience: Awesome selection of fish and invertebrate! Affordable pricing. The layout of the store was super cool too. I went there to buy a couple of heat packs for shipping fish and fritz complete. The owner was super nice and gave me a few shipping bags.

Negative experience: I don't have any pictures of it. I was trying to buy green jade shrimp and I could not see any shrimp that I wanted and there so high up on the shelf it's impossible to even see green jade shrimp idk how they grab shrimp.

Fantastic experience: What can i say about this place is, it might not be as big of a store compare to other fish store, but the things that you gonna learn from the owner peter is one of a kind. He will surely help you and educate you from buying a fish, how to take care of the fish, how to become successfull tank owner. His not just selling you a fish but his educating you to become successful.he even have some fish that i cant see on some other fish store.
