I recently ordered some corals, and not only did they arrive within 24 hours, but the packaging was also top-notch — you could tell real care went into it. The corals looked healthy, vibrant, and exactly as described. What really stood out to me was the customer service: I actually got a personal call just to confirm everything arrived safely — that level of attention is rare these days. It’s clear they’re passionate about what they do and truly care about their livestock and their customers. If you’re looking for quality corals and a team you can trust, this is the place. Fantastic experience: 1st time customer and it was a great experience. I found Whitlyn because I was looking online for a weeping willow toadstool. Of corse, you can’t just buy 1 frag so I threw in some other softies to the cart and got free shipping. They called shortly after I made the order to confirm exactly what day I wanted delivery which I really liked. They then emailed after delivery to make sure I was satisfied. The corals were packaged better than anyone else I’ve ever bought from. Each frag was in its own small cup and double bagged and sealed to keep the water in. They really go above and beyond in packaging to make sure your corals don’t bounce around and get damaged. I’ll definitely be buying from them again as I build out this softie tank.

Fantastic experience: Placed an order on their website for stratosphere zoas. Had a fantastic price so I had to see what the quality was. I was contacted the day before shipping as there was some concerns around the weather. They asked if I would be okay with a shipment later in the week. I agreed. Upon arrival I noticed that I had an additional polyp. I had ordered a frag of two but received three. All full size, no babies. After a dip I placed them in the tank and they immediately opened. I could not be happier overall with the experience. Excellent seller and I'll be ordering again.

Fantastic experience: Ordered a bunch of zoas and all came in healthy and opened right up. A week later and they are all still looking great. They even tossed in a free frag with it. Would order from them again

They called to help schedule my delivery the day after my order and then called within 2 hours of me receiving my order to make sure everything was okay. All 7 corals I order showed up super well packaged and super healthy. 2 of the Zoa frags and torches were even fully open in the bag. They even threw in a free surprise frag. The plugs were also extremely clean and I didn’t find any pest. I can’t wait to order more from these guys!

Negative experience: Do NOT buy from their online auction! I spent well over $100 on two frags that looked great in their, WSWYG auction, however when they arrived both were brown and dead! They do not ship their corals with any kind of heat pack, causing them to freeze to death when shipped. Order number was #30228. I was unable to get into contact with them until outside of the 2 hour DOA window, however, someone at my home did acclimate them to the tank, on the off chance that they weren't dead. Being fairly upset, as I had spent over $200 for nothin, I left a negative review, initially on the wrong Google account. The store owner then called me, told me that because I had left a bad review, he would "Not try to make this right". This is a legitimate review, from the email that I used to purchase.

Fantastic experience: Incredible service. UPS messed up shipping and my corals were delivered over 24hrs late. They were DOA. Whitlyn offered to send larger frags to help offset the cost of shipping, and wow did they deliver. Amazing, healthy frags, wonderful packaging, the heat pack was still warm. Both my zoas and my Goni opened within two hours.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a Malaysian Miami torch, purple death paly, and 2 zoas (utter chaos and strat). They called to confirm shipment and were very responsive on email. Corals all arrived in the morning on the shipment day from UPS. Packaging was excellent (double bags, no leaks). The zoas and paly were on plugs in cups that made it impossible to get crushed. I haven’t see any pests. The zoas and torch all had polyps extended on the first day and look amazing, like their pics! The paly is taking longer to open but still looks fine. I also received a free zoa (Rasta) which was super nice and completely unexpected. I’d definitely order from Whitlyn again.

Fantastic experience: I recently switched to Whitlyn Aquatics for my tank maintenance and care after having a terrible experience with the folks operating out of Aquarium Concepts. I couldn't be happier as the tank measurables are now back to safe ranges and I am able to start adding fish back to the tank. Thank you, Whitlyn! ... I wish I had switched sooner before losing over half of my fish. Great service, and unlike several other local stores, actually friendly and courteous when you visit to restock.

Negative experience: Expensive scoly coral did not arrive in good condition. Reached out multiple times to keep the shop updated on the condition. When it never recovered from shipping stress I was told since it was not dead on arrival they would not offer any form of compensation. I have multiples of the same corals thriving in my tank and since it arrived with skeleton showing and in poor condition it was obviously an unhealthy coral when I received it. Very disappointed. Would never do business again with this company.

Fantastic experience: I honestly don't know how these guys have gotten bad reviews. My purchase started by winning an auction on coral, I needed to bring my order total up since it was an online order to meet the shipping requirement. These guys communicated with me every step of the way and extremely fast. There was concern about a storm that could delay, rather then sending the coral and taking a chance they coordinated with me to get a better ship date and make sure the coral arrived healthy. Unpacking the box everything was sealed extremely well and had a heat pack to keep everything at a good temperature. After floating the bags and comparing the water to mine I added the frags to the tank and all of them opened very quickly, look very healthy. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

I had concerns having fish shipped across the country in the dead of winter but they were expertly packed in an insulated box with heat packs. I cannot get fish like this locally. I’m so glad I took the chance and ordered from Whitlyn Aquatics. I received top quality specimens that are absolutely beautiful. A+ Update 3/7/24: Another incredible order received yesterday. Fantastic experience: This was my first online purchase, and I am extremely happy. The store was in constant communication with the what, where and when with shipping. They were patient with me, as I was clueless on how the auction worked. (Which was my fault, I didn't fully read the instructions.) I have to say, the packaging was immaculate. I don't want to give their secret away, but just trust that the coral you purchase will arrive safely. Within 1 hour of arrival my zoa, acan and ricordea were fully open. Gorgeous coral as well. Fantastic experience: Very well packed during shipment compared to any corals I’ve ever received. The coral wasn’t just thrown at the bottom of a bag like most companies do. They were each carefully protected in different ways to prevent it from hitting against the bag. Everything was out and happy about two hours after acclimation which is pretty fast for new corals. The company is also extremely responsive when you have questions! Most likely will participate in auctions or buy coral from them again! Plus they threw in a freebie!!!

Fantastic experience: I normally dont leave reviews but i needed to leave one because of the experience i had. My tank has been up & running for over a year. Positive experience: Went to see some salt water fish but couldn't get any help. There were 2 employees there and 6 other customers... I waited about 15 mins and no help so I left. This was sat at 3 ..I was also surprised that there was few fish in the salt water area that was marked sold so a busted trip

Negative experience: We ordered a uv light it only worked about a month. Paid 80 for them to come out and tell us this. Then we had to pay shipping on the new uv. I think that's poor customer service and we shouldn't have been charged. It would be different if this was an old light

After all the details were worked out, they shipped that day. The following day, there was a hold up in shipping due to an event on UPS’s behalf. Jeff notified me of the issue and we were in constant communication until it was delivered the next day. Even after it delivered, Jeff reached out again to see how everything was going. I was really surprised to see how punctual and quick a business was to reach out and communicate, even going above and beyond my expectations. You can’t find that anymore. This was my first purchase with Whitlyn and my first anemone as well. I couldn’t be happier with the nem and the business and character Whitlyn brings to its customers is simply outstanding. I moved from Indianapolis to a little town north of Evansville at the start of 2022, having grown up my whole life on the southside of Indy, I had to start over and find new places to shop at for my critters. I'm so glad that I stopped here on a whim in the beginning of January of this year to get back into aquatics - they quite literally blew my expectations out of the water, lmao. Out of all the fish stores and pet shops I've been to up north and here inbetween, this place takes the cake hands down! The guys that work here are absolutely phenomenal, they're well versed in what they do and are so friendly. It's a genuine place with genuine people. You'll never regret coming here, even if it's just to visit! The store is set up in a visually appealing manner, it's neat to say the least. It's cool seeing the vast selection of stuff from saltwater to freshwater, they've got great livestock selections available, even plants too! One of the best things, though? They have a rewards program now! You can earn rewards everytime you shop! So if you're in doubt, local to the area or just visiting, and are looking for a place to stop at for any of your fishy needs.... look no further, **THIS** is the place to go!

Before sending them out I received a phone call to verify that someone will be home to accept them and every question I had was answered either on the phone or through email! Fantastic experience: I never have a bad experience here. I was immediately greeted by Jeanie (hope I’m spelling that right) asking me what I needed help with. Jeanie was so sweet to my kiddos, they love seeing the turtles and she pulled one out for them to see. I usually stop by every few weeks and the customer service is always great and the fish are healthy.

Fantastic experience: I recently ordered two freashwater catfish and had them shipped. After emailing back and forth for a couple of days the fish were shipped and arrived the next day. The package did arrive wet but that is no fault of Whitlyn Aquatics. Both fish were alive and doing well, it has now been a couple of days in a quarantine tank. Both of them are eating and swimming around well. Thank you Whitlyn Aquatics for making this easy and as stress free as possible for everyone (including the fish)!

Negative experience: Went in here earlier today for a new tank I was setting up and ended up waiting for a really long time without anyone even acknowledging I was there. Nobody would help me.

Negative experience: We just bought a sump from them last week and turned out we didn't need it, brand new and never used. They wouldn't take it back or refund in any way (in store credit or even a quarter of the price) because the box was cut open and they stated that they already restocked this product. Just so everyone knows since they don't have a sign posted that 'every purchase is final', don't try returning anything especially if its expensive because they won't do anything for you. bad customer service and I would not recommend this place. Great quality but horrible business practice and for a "small business" as they like to throw in, they don't seem to want to keep their customers

Fantastic experience: The staff are very nice. I worked with Jeff to create an order for my 220 gallon fish tank. He was very patient and answered all the questions I had about the fish and coral. The order was shipped out in a timely manner that fit my schedule and weather. The fish and coral all arrived healthy in good condition. To my surprise there was a freebie coral in the package! I would defiantly order from Whitlyn Aquatics again.

Negative experience: So, I was just in the store. 2 employees and 1 other customer. The only time I was spoken to was on my way out of the door. I guess if saltwater is your thing then the staff will bend over backwards to assist you. Freshwater people, not so much. It's really too bad because I was ready to spend some money. I will NEVER AGAIN visit your establishment.
