Fantastic experience: I have had great experiences with Finos. I bought my sugar glider from them, and they were very accommodating. They have a wide variety of exotic pets, so I’m sure you can find exactly what you’re looking for. I also boarded my sugar gliders with them, and they did an excellent job.
Fantastic experience: Recently purchased a mini lop bunny which im so in love with super cute and adorable. Had great communication and smooth purchase experience over all. He is currently moving so i understand hes moving everything but he explained so much and also gave me some tips for my new fur baby.
Negative experience: If I could leave zero stars I would. The quality of care would concern even the hardest of hearted humans. Bearded dragons enclosure is full of excrement, aquatic tanks full to the brim of algae, snakes with very obvious signs of stuck shed, employees lack even the basics of knowledge of what they sell… etc. extremely disappointing and dirty. Looks nothing like the photos, stay away.
Fantastic experience: It was almost overwhelming to be surrounded by so many varieties of adorable babies. The cuteness levels were off the charts.
Negative experience: CHARGED ME DOUBLE for my snake. I went to another store to exchange her and they told me how finos pretty much robbed me. Do not trust the prices without doing research.
Negative experience: **edit Still no communication from Anthony Fino or return of the customer’s deposit. Terrible business practice by these scammers. Avoid this business at all costs!! I’m not about giving negative reviews and always look to build up small businesses but there’s no way that I can let Fino’s business practices go without review. A friend of mine ordered a lot of turtles from them to add to their store inventory and was advised that they would need to make a $5000+ deposit. After lots of issues with Apple Pay due to a broken cell phone and change of phone number on Anthony Fino’s side, payments were finally made. When the turtles were unable to be provided and a refund was requested, things got weird. Tons of excuses about why a refund would take time to happen. Long story short, it’s been over a month and Anthony has stopped replying to all text messages. My friend is in the process of legal action against the company and I won’t go into any details on that. I do have the entire text communication trail between Anthony and my friend so this review is legit. Don’t buy from these guys as they’re scammers. I’m going to update this review every Friday until they follow through on their promise to provide the refund or the end of legal action with an outcome.
Negative experience: Called on the phone due to boa that I bought here showed signs of being sick on the second day , dude on the phone tried saying that it was my enclosure that wasn’t humid enough , after I had mentioned that the snake looked sick and looks like it has IBD (neurological disorder that is highly contagious between snakes) Point of this is to be aware or animals you buy from here , they are just trying to get them out the door , and Im sure that the other snake these people have also have IBD. Gonna have to euthanize my snake even though I just got it .
Fantastic experience: Stumbled upon this pet store while waiting on a friend for dinner. It has a variety of exotic animals to choose from. The employee was very friendly and happy to answer any questions about their animals. Loved seeing the pretty birds!
Fantastic experience: Picked up a beautiful pastel python for my collection, it was in excellent condition, no damaged scales, rots, mites etc. well tempered, switched over to frozen mice without a problem
Negative experience: EDIT: I was finnaly refunded my $350 back. It took awhile as stated below but I'm glad they pulled through. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star as much as I want to is because I want them to understand that communication is key especially as a business and that they should improve on it especially when holding or shipping certain animals out so things dont get mixed up. I would like to say thankyou though to the guy I spoke with over the phone most of the time as he was very understanding about what happened. Props to you Finos Rainforest and never stop improving. :) Okay so this is going to be long but I will never recommend buying an animal from Finos Rainforest and I tried so hard to give them the benefit of doubt. I hate leaving bad reveiws infact this is my first but here we go. Back in November/December 2021 I purchased what I saw to be two dorsal cat geckos "A pair" on morph market from Finos rainforest. I reached out and they agreed to do a payment plan with the geckos and shipping totalling out to $410 including holding them over winter for me. I made a payment of $110 to hold them then I paid the rest of $300 2 weeks later. With me being in Michigan and it being mid winter they agreed to hold them till it was safe to ship them. Fast forward to March and the temperature in Michigan is good to ship. On the day they are shipping to me I get this text message. "Good morning let me know how she arrives I'm also going to be refunding you the male you purchased he wasn't doing well enough for us to feel comfortable to send him out my apologies I made sure you got the one arriving today is Female once I send refund I will send you a screenshot let me know how she arrives." When I purchased the cat geckos I told Finos Rainforest that I was only interested in them as a pair but they sent this message after they shipped her out which kind of made me mad due to the miss communication but I told them that it was fine don't refund me just ship out the male when he gets better. Fast forward to the next day and I open the package to find a NORMAL cat gecko not a dorasl not to mension inside the bag the gecko was in its pee/poo or what ever body fluid it was, was odly discolored to which I then took a closer look at the gecko and saw its underbelly was oddly dis colored and looked off from what cat geckos usually look like as far as organ color wise either way the gecko looked terrible and wasnt in best health. It wasn't even the same gecko they advertised! I called them up instantly with me still being in the fedex parking lot, only to be put on hold for 27min then they hung up. Fast forward 2 days later and the gecko dies. I have many cat geckos and have never seen one so ill. I called them for 3 days and finally someone didn't hang up or put me on hold for more then 30 min. They said they would issue a refund and that it was there fault and that they got orders mixed up as well as some other things they admitted that werent right. They were sorry and said they would pay me the refund of $350 for the geckos and i said I said that would be great and thankyou but it's now been almost 2 months and they keep looping me around in a circle making up excuses and blaming different people each time. I know I'm not getting the full $410 but I was told I would get my $350 back and they keep lying. I love getting new geckos from new people but this is crazy. Spread the word that Finos rainforest is nothing but good people but when it comes to getting your money back it's basically a scam. I've texted them the proof, false advertisement. And they said that they messed up but now there debating on the refund. I wanted to write a good reveiw about this place because the people are so nice and kind but now I just think I'm being taken advantage of. :(
Fantastic experience: I've been a regular at Fino's Rainforest for quite some time, primarily coming in for feeders. Recently, I decided to expand my aquatic family and picked up some mystery snails. As always, Fino and his team made the experience exceptional. Fino has been a tremendous help, especially when it mattered most. His kindness and dedication to his customers are unparalleled. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to provide insightful advice and support. The quality of the feeders and the health of the mystery snails I purchased are top-notch. Negative experience: The condition of the animals at this store is disgusting straight up NEGLECT do not support this as you are funding this man buying more exotic animals to NOT take care of. In one of the photos I uploaded a small turtle is resorting to eating LITERAL FECES as it has no real food or water only some kind of dried out paste others in the same tank are on the verge of death incredibly dehydrated so much so their eyes have swollen and crusted shut. A 700 dollar monitor for sale in a tiny cage with zero substrate, do better fino this place is absolutely deplorable don’t buy these animals thinking this is an acceptable way to care for them, the owner only wants money do not fund this place doing this to more animals .
Negative experience: Do not buy from this store or company. I ordered $500 worth of inverts off eBay and never heard a word afterwards. I’ve talked to the father who owns the shop and he said that he would call me the next day and never did. I’ve asked for Anthony to cancel my order on eBay and he will not respond. I’ve called the father several times and he won’t answer. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to cancel an order. It’s because they are scamming people online for their money.

Fantastic experience: Super great environment, staff is very knowledgeable. if you are a first time goer and you go soon after this review is made, do you know that they have been moving and have a lot of things going on right now, but once they get up and running, their selection is always amazing and they always have a very diverse reptile viewing. fino’s RAINFOREST also has a zoo that you can visit and they will give you a full detail tour and show you a bunch of crazy cool animals many animals that I had seen for my first time in person was because of this tour that they provided. The people there are great. The environment is great. The mood is great, and the workers always have a smile on their face, when wanting to do a trade or wanting to buy, they are always very negotiable and reasonable about their prices and or trade, and if you only stop in one time to view, do not let that time be your judgment on what this business is able to provide. If you want to stay up to date on all of their animals, they also have a Instagram page that does a very good job at showing you what they have new in stock at the store. Would definitely recommend stopping by!
Negative experience: Nothing like what I expected. One of the most disappointing reptile stores I’ve been into. The lady who greeted me was completely unprofessional and had very little knowledge about most species. She even told me that she had to eat her ramen cold because if she plugged in the microwave one whole wall of animals will lose electricity and heat??? Why would you even tell me that lol. The reason this store didn’t get a 1 star review is because they have some animals you typically don’t see so that was nice. Overall it was kinda a dirty sad experience.

Negative experience: Called was told they had 2 items in stock..drove there to find out he didn't have any. then he told me the Website is always good.Wrong he has 6 Scorpion in stock but non on website. Fantastic experience: An awesome exotic pet store located on Messa just off Kern. This store has a huge selection of snakes to choose from. The store also sells fish, lizards, tarantulas, turtles and tortoises. All of the animals in the store are in great health because the owner takes excellent care of them. The store is very clean as well. I only shop here for my Boa Constrictor's needs.

Negative experience: I ordered a chameleon on-line from this store. At first, the owner was very helpful with what I needed to get and how to care for it. However, today when I was supposed to have it shipped out from Texas to California, he became very hostile. I was asking a few questions about the shipping process so I could make sure I was home when I bought it. He got so rude and said if I was unhappy I could have a refund. I was so taken back and just thought I was asking regular questions because I have never had a reptile shipped to me. I have boughten at conventions but not shipped. I asked to speak to the owner and he said he was, and I just said wow. We got off the phone and I just felt like he treated me very rudely. I later text him and asked to cancel. I just didn’t feel right and he told me that it is a 10% restocking fee and his policies are clear. Didn’t he just offer to cancel it 30 minutes before? Anyway, he was very rude and I wouldn’t buy from him.

Negative experience: Bought a Fruit Fly colony that was pricier than they go for, priced at $15. The colony never produced. Luckily I was able to reach out to a local supplier who was able to provide some flies for me.
Fantastic experience: Awesome experience! We did the mini tour and Amanda was very knowledgeable and very friendly. My daughter enjoyed all the animal’s especially the porcupine and the Chenchila rabbit.
Fantastic experience: Amanda and Jesse are truly awesome! Such sweet people!! They BOTH are always accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful every time my boyfriend and I come in! They also take amazing care of these animals which makes me so happy, and obviously the animals too! We’ll be back next week probably!
Fantastic experience: My mother is visiting from California. I had been wanting to see Fino's for a while so we went. There are so many things that aren't legal in California; it was really fun to check out. She and I did the interactive tour and, while I knew most of the animals, it was nice to interact with them. Interacting with animals does a lot for conservation and it was nice to see my elderly mother get to interact with these animals. I will be returning to Fino's to show my husband the same experience at a later date. Thank you so much for being engaging and exposing people to new, fun, educational experiences.
Fantastic experience: This place is great. All the little bearded dragons are so friendly. I wish I could take them all !!! I'll be returning to get a female that way my male will allow her to roam his home. The pet food is great quality
Negative experience: Very disappointed. After being first in line for about 15 mins, he let about 4 people in front of me. Never had an issue being able to spend money in a place until now. Will not be returning.

So You purchased you’re beaded dragon back in February? But you’re enclosure and everything we sold you wasn’t proper why did you wait so long to contact us? So you are telling me that you’re bearded dragon for 5 months has been in the wrong enclosure in the wrong lighting wrong heat And just started having issues . I’m sorry but things just don’t work that way when the animals aren’t in proper lighting or in proper heat they do not eat if that had been the case you would’ve noticed right away that something was wrong because the bearded dragon just would not eat and they would not stay alive for five months without eating or drinking now when we tried to talk to you about this you just got belligerent upset because I think you realized that you just have not been taking care of him. What you are saying makes absolutely no sense when I asked you to send me pictures of your enclosure so that I can see what you are talking about and explain to you and show you that it is a proper enclosure because that is the proper way to do it if you are saying something is wrong with the enclosure then let’s look at it let’s go over it show me where you’re getting your information from cussing does not solve that problem you just got upset and told me not to call you so when people usually get upset like that when we are just trying to help them it is usually because they start to realize that they just have not been taken care of the animals properly. you have a responsibility as a pet owner to try and take care of your animal and look up as much as you can and my job is to help you on that journey but we can only do that if you are willing to listen to what we have to say if you were going to get upset just because we are maybe suggesting that you are not taking care of him properly there is nothing much we can do about that so when people usually start cussing and acting like that there’s not much much we can do specially five months after the fact we barely received the text not a phone call but a text sorry that you had to go through this but you should take responsibility I think I’ll just leave the fax to everybody and I’m pretty sure they can figure it out from here.

Fantastic experience: Fino's just opened their Interactive Educational Program and it is amazing! nothing like this in El Paso and our kids loved it! They had the chance to learn, have fun and even touch some of the animals.
Negative experience: My goldfish died 2 days after buying it and there is no refund or exchanges most places you can take them back if they die with in a month of purchase!
Fantastic experience: This is a large exotic animal store. We only visited but the cages were clean and the animals seemed to look well cared for. The store was also clean and organized. If I buy an exotic pet in the future I will probably shop here.

Out of the 10 years we’ve been in business the one time we do not have roaches during a food shortage and mind you we are probably the only local Shop who consistently carries them along with other feeders . Customers like these are ones we do not need

Negative experience: BEWARE.Called in to put a Croc skink on hold, talked to the owner on phone and set price and pickup time (driving from LC). I show up 5 mins early and tell a worker that I was there for pickup. The worker says "oh no". Says someone has it at checkout. I look over and see someone with the Croc skink at the counter. The worker tells the other worker (the son of owner) in here to pick it up and I wave at him so he knows I'm there. He then sells it to that other person right in front of me. So of course I'm confused and upset. I walk over and tell him "did you just sell the animal I put on hold, right in front of me?" He says "sorry, didn't know your name for the hold. If your mad leave a bad review" and walks away from me. I can't believe how horrible this business conducted itself. Please think twice before buying from here. Called the owner back to explain and just said they messed up and he will try and get another but doesn't know when. Just a bad experience.
Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. Local mom and pop shop. All of the staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Keep it local is easy with folks that friendly and helpful. They even helped me get a custom mug made using a picture of my son's bearded dragon for his birthday.

Positive experience: I've bought a lot of things here. There animal supplies and insects are really good and very nicely priced! However, I have had some issues with their live feeder mice not living past their quarantine week. I also purchased a frog from them, which the next day had some sort of eye infection. Their frozen feeders are also great! The costumer service is really helpful, the workers and owners seem to really know what they are talking about with their animals and are very helpful. Even with the few issues, this is the best store in the area for reptile stuff imo. Would 9/10 recommend to visit and get some insects.
Fantastic experience: I'm going to say, I never owned a lizard until now ( age 32) I will say I'm probably the MOST annoying person because I'm going to ask 50000000 questions befor I purchase. I own 3 from this place now... They never got annoyed even knowing I might not purchase, I never had to look for someone to ask a question, anytime I felt I needed to ask more, they would ask if I have another question like they cared (but not annoying when you are looking, they can tell). They are also honest and won't sell you something that doesn't sound like a best fit. Shows they care for not only you but for there animals. Most places with all my questions would push for a sale, but they talked about many reptiles with me. I even called after I purchased my tegu because I had questions... And they took the time to talk to me. Seriously, this place is the best and I'm afraid to go back because I know I will purchase more because they are so trustworthy! I dropped 400$ on a lizard and he is my best friend And you do get what you pay for! And they will be honest about why one is 400 and another is 50! Thank you guys! I'll hopefully be buying a cage from you soon if this pandemic knocks it off!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a specific snake that was extremely difficult to find and after scouring google managed to find this store as the only ones who had one in stock at the time. Reached out to them on Facebook, and he guided me through the order and made sure everything was well all the way up to delivery. I tried to get this snake from multiple different breeders and had issues, Finos came to the rescue. The animal in question looked healthy, and is settled into his home. Definitely will be checking their website for future purchases

Fantastic experience: Fino and his son were welcoming and willing to answer any and all questions I had about their well sourced stock of pets. I got a terrific price on a pair of healthy Mexican black king snakes. Which are not only hard to find locally but also difficult to source from a heavily monopolized breeding industry. Fino also threw in a couple of pinky’s so I can get started feeding these little guys. All in all a well kept store, healthy livestock, and very friendly staff. I wish you guys the best! Negative experience: Whoever is in charge of replying to reviews should really work on professionalism and people skills. We wrote a review about a mouse giving our snake mites (which multiple vets told us is possible when mites weren't there before) and we got a reply from a Google search. Verbatim from a forum found on google as well as some rude comments.
We are simply responding to your comments with facts. If you are the only person who has gotten mites, it only make sense that they were there before, since you say that the snake was in such bad condition. How do you expect us to respond, when you have no facts or proof, that mice were the cause. Not being rude, just stating facts, and you should have proof if you are going to make accusations.
Sorry that you feel that we are being rude, but you did not bother to call us and explained the situation to us, we would have gladly helped you. Also, we could have educated you, and would have gladly let you come and look at every mice we have here to see if there are any mites. And as you would have seen there will be no mites on the mice, then you should have come to the conclusion that possibly, they were on there before. Instead your irresponsibly made a post questioning our credibility, with no proof whatsoever. So, simply by using your own words and your statement showing the people that you do not know how to care for the snake yourself. You left us no choice, but to respond this way. So if anyone was being rude, it's definitely not us.
Negative experience: This is by far the worst pet store I've been to. I took in a snake that was bought here from a friend and when we got him his scales were all messed up due to scale rot and his eyes had eye caps from incorrect housing for the snake, so he couldn't shed properly. After some rehabilitation we were able to bring him back to good health. Just recently we bought some feeder mice and placed them into the tank with the snake and 24 hours later our snake had mites. Huge mites! By far the worst experiences from this store. Definitely will not be going back here ever again!!
Feeders can carry, but not host snake mites and eggs. They are also specific to snakes only.
Are you sure the snake didn't come with mites? Since you were saying that the snake was in such poor condition when you received him and that the husbandry was not proper, and it is called husbandry not housing. You said you placed them in the inclosure, so I am assuming it is more than one mouse. You should never leave a live mouse in a tank with a snake for 24 hours, much less more than one. So I am sorry but it sounds like you and your friend don't know what you are doing, or what you are talking about. So, if you are looking for someone to blame, do it on yourselves and ignorance of improper husbandry. I can guarantee you none of our snakes here at the shop look anything like You are describing.

Fantastic experience: The owner is awesome. We had a some trouble with a hedgehog, but him and his staff where nothing but the best of help and then some. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend for all your exotic pet needs.

Negative experience: 0 stars! First time at Finos and definitely my last. First off, the dwarf caiman we purchased was placed in a rubbermaid box with NO VENTILATION for transport home. Luckily we realized right after leaving the store and cracked lid. I then noticed 2 white spots/lesions on my baby, one on ear flap and another one on back of head. The next day I texted store number to ask if they knew what it could be. They asked me to provide pics which I did and they replied stating that it looked like "scoring"Â (I'm almost sure they meant scarring) but that "they would show their more experienced friends and get back to me in the morning". I still haven't heard from them and honestly I expected to be given the runaround. It's a bit comical considering the owner's son gave me their business card and told me I could reach out with any questions or concerns. BS! Be aware that their health guarantee is absolute BS, I was not sold a healthy animal. My baby might have pox virus (a zoonotic infection that can be transmitted to humans) and if not it is definitely fungal/bacterial brought on by dirty living environment and/or stress. I' don't consider myself "an expert" nor do I run a pet shop and aware of this basic knowledge!! No refunds of course, no shock there. Fortunately this baby is now in good hands and will receive necessary vet care, but I agree with many others who feel this place should be shut down due to neglicence. THEY HAVE NO F'N IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR THEY DO AND DON'T GIVE A F!! I'll go with they have no idea what they're doing because they didn't ring up right amount at register either LOL.

Negative experience: I really want this place to do well and thrive and I genuinely hope they get there because it would be amazing to have a nice locally owned pet store on the westside, but right now it's just a mess. I don't know enough about reptiles to comment on their condition but the fish are pitiful. Tropical fish dying in dirty, unfiltered and unheated tanks. Birds with inadequate perches displaying stress behavior. I really hope they find their groove and are able to invest in some better infrastructure. Maybe some hard to find and high demand fish like rare betta colors (in adequate housing)?
Negative experience: I went in just to see the kind of pets they had only to see depressed reptiles and birds they should ban stores like this

Negative experience: The animals here are dying. The owner is completely negligent to the care of these animals. When asked about the condition of the animals, he simply claims that you know nothing and that he's an expert. A macaw was slowly dying in a fish tank with no space to fly whatsoever, no food and no water in sight, the price for this dying bird was 2000$. This place should be shut down.

Negative experience: I really wish I could rate this place higher, and I will if things change. I went in and saw gerbils. Please research how to care for gerbils. The cage was much too small, as was the wheel. You had water in a bowl, when it should be in a bottle. The bedding was quite dirty. Please consider getting a bigger cage for them, bigger wheels, and a water bottle. A good cage I would recommend would be a 10-20 gallon tank, which is much easier to clean as well. I am not trying to be rude or mean, just want the best for the little guys.
Negative experience: It was an okay store if they are starting up. But we got there and an axolotl was just floating dead in the tank. They had some loaches that were trapped un a decor facing down. Even had a big shovel nose already 12-14inch long and a 55 gallon. Poor guy
