Negative experience: This location was not managed properly and is permanently closed. It is no longer here. Go to Telfair, Memorial or Katy for other locations. I knew this 1 wasn't going to stay open.

Negative experience: I went to this store so many times wanting to really support the local businesses but goodness. They never have anything I am looking for. I told them over and over my need. They kept promising me they would get the product and nothing seemed to improve. I am not surprised they are temporarily closed. They really need to listen to what the customers are telling them and act quickly. Its so difficult to compete with amazon and chewy from having a variety of products to delivering it to my door. I can shop from the comfort of my home. Why would i go in to a store that doesn’t have what I am looking for. I am guessing I am not the only one. This is probably why the store isn’t doing so well. ♀️
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place however it seems like it’s closed. I’ve gone twice and the door is locked the sign on the door. I hope everything gets situated.

Negative experience: This place is a ghost town. Around 10% of the shelves actually had product on them, the rest of the store was empty. I would recommend never coming here except for the fact that it’s so bizarre to see an open business with almost no product to sell! Some other poor guy came in right behind me, gave me an inquisitive look (as in, “does this place seriously have nothing on the shelves?”) and walked right out. I followed him. Responses to other reviews mention “supply issues”, which is laughable considering there is a Pet Supplies Plus not even a few miles south on THE SAME HIGHWAY! How does this place stay open? Who would trust a groomer or veterinarian working out of an empty pet store? There should be a documentary about this store.

Negative experience: I'm not too sure what's been going on with this location but over the past few months there has been less and less dog food or just supplies in general. This used to be a really packed location then all of a sudden it just stopped. Every time I come here. I get so disappointed in myself for thinking. They've restocked when they told me that they would. I still love Pet Supply Plus but I don't go to this location anymore and I just go to the one off of highway 6 and 90 near the HEB. They always have a lot of choices and seem to always be in stock. Every time I do talk to the employees they say they're just waiting on shipments and I guess they sell out very quickly or something but every time I go there it's always empty which is a little disappointing because I used to love this location the most

Negative experience: Took my aussie for full groom. Don't ever take your dog there. Showed groomer the cut we wanted and he completely ignored our wishes My wife cannot stop crying .never going back. Place looks like it is going out of business

Negative experience: Be aware of strange behavior from the woman who manages this location. I purchased a large bag of dog food and while at the counter the cashier noticed my bag was torn. (Have noticed taped product on the low stocked shelves in the past…)He got me another bag. About 2 hours later I got several voice messages on my personal phone telling me to return the new bag and come back to get the other one because “surveillance “ showed it happened while I loaded it in my cart! She yelled and told me I ripped it and probably haven't opened the one I left with and she couldn’t resell the open bag! ( I had opened the bag I left with btw) I said I’m sorry I did not notice and kindly suggested she donate to a shelter. She yelled louder . So creepy and odd. There are many other awesome pet supply stores. I have spent hundreds at this one and will never go back.

Negative experience: Why does the self wash close at 8pm if the store closes at 9pm? I went a month ago and got there at 8:40 and they say sorry we close it off at 8:30. I said okay oops my bad so I came today at 8:20 nope they said it closes at 8pm now. On top of that everything is empty. Terrible management, I still had one last wash left on my punch card but I just ended up going to the other location in telfair they let me go up until 9pm. If they can leave it open till 9pm why can’t this location do the same? Never going back please don’t bring your business here. I hope it gets closed down soon.

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this location for the past 2 years. Never have I ever seen the shelves so empty. Honestly, I thought this location was becoming more popular. No. It’s a supply issue. I asked one of the employees why the shelves are empty. He said it’s due to the supply issues. To my knowledge, this is a manager matter. Unacceptable. I couldn’t find food for my dog. Keep in mind, I haven’t been able to find my dog food at this location for a WHILE. I’ve been taking my business to the Telfair location, as they have everything. Literally everything. These poor employees. My favorite employee is Mary. She’s been there for a few years. She’s awesome. All of the employees there are. They are so kind and helpful. It sucks that the employees are the ones to suffer from this situation. I hope they don’t close this location because it’s the closest to my house. I hope the owner brings himself together and gets this sorted out. People might be out of jobs in response to this. Hopefully that doesn’t happen. New management should be in place.

Negative experience: I have been trying to get amazing grains orijen six fish from this location for a while now. The ladies there are absolutely amazing! They are so welcoming! They have notified the owner numerous times about this specific item. The last time I called to check on this order, it was supposed to come in on a truck that week from what the owner said. I wasted my time making a trip to this location to be let down once again. Not only once but repetitively! The owner seems not to care about his customers' needs or his employees. There is no way this location will ever get my business ever again! And I hope these two young ladies find their worth and the tall gentleman who is usually there Thursday nights.

Negative experience: Groomer is afraid of dogs. My mom’s dog hid behind my dad’s leg when they went to check her in and the groomer refused to groom her stating fear she’d bite her. She’s not even an aggressive dog and has been groomed by other groomers at this same store in the past. Not to mention that I have called several times to set grooming appointments and when I am transferred to the grooming department there is no answer and the voicemail is always full. My mom had to go up to the store to get the appointment that she was later refused service at. We’re taking our dogs to the groomer a few stores down in the same lot from now on.

Positive experience: I like it to wash my dog between grooms but the Dog wash needs improvement, half the time I need to bring my own towels. And sometimes they don’t have shampoo. But The groomers here are amazing. That’s why I keep coming back. My dog feels comfortable with them.

Negative experience: Walked in just now, no staff. . All but a groomer, grooming in the back. No one else. Store is lacking product. Lots of holes. Little selection. . . I walked out buying nothing. Not sure how you check out anyway since no one’s there. Maybe you just walk out with it? Hence the holes all over the store?

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Very professional. Mariana is the nicest groomer I’ve ever met. She’s so careful and so sweet with my two little dogs every time I go there. She patiently explains prices which I think is very important before service and offers the best treatment. I will keep coming back. My babies love when they see her.

Negative experience: wish this place’s owner would take ACTUAL action when a real problem is going on with their groomers, especially Mariana who was very irresponsible in my dog’s case. September 26 we took our shih tzu, Sophie to have her first grooming time and we signed a paper where it CLEARLY stated that if anything occured during the grooming, the groomer would take action and either call the owner or take our pets to the vet if owner not available. i do not understand why ABUSE of an innocent being especially when an owner blindly trusts a stranger without knowing what they could do. NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS AWFUL PLACE! they left my dog with severe cuts on her stomach and went into depression for WEEKS, yes, dog depression is real. she didn’t eat for days or took treats, wasn’t herself for a very long time. i would post pictures of the injuries but it would delete this review. vet also confirmed they were razor cuts. - groomer was some minutes late. - didn’t let us know that OUR dog was injured. - we told her to not continue the grooming session if our dog was uncomfortable in the process, she continued. - she laughed when she mentioned that our dog moved alot (obviously in pain) when she put the razor through.

Positive experience: Product is fine, but the new groomer is a no-go. I dropped our 2 dogs off at 10 am. One needed a cut and the other just a pamper (nails clipped, teeth brushed, etc). At 3 pm, I hadn't heard anything so stopped by. The dogs hadn't been started yet (5 hours later!) The groomer claimed she had a question for me, and that's why she didn't start - or call me to ask the question. I clarified for her, she claimed she'd start the dogs immediately. 2.5 hours later, I hadn't heard anything so called to see what was up. THE DOGS HADN'T BEEN STARTED YET. Long story short, we picked our dogs up, they never got groomed, and they spent 7+ hours in a cage.

Positive experience: Its okay. I stop there on my way home which is very convenient. Their orices are okay but the only reason i dont give any higher is because when i asked for them to carry a certain fly for my mantises, they took the info, said theyd order it, told me a week, and it never came. I have to stoo at 2 different stores instead of one so its really inconvenient. I'll have to continue to order them online. Update: the flies never came in. I eventually came back to this store because, like i said its on my way home, and asked if they had any hermit crabs. They said they don't keep them in stock since they can sit for while on the shelf, but it's a simple order that will should come by Wednesday (they order Saturday). Long story short. They never came. I went to the other brand new one store that just opened down the street and they ordered them. They came after a week and a half. I called on Thursday, 7/19, and the lady said the hermit crabs just arrived that there were two I could buy because another person wanted the other two. So I went to the store, the lady brought them out, was about to put them in the box and conveniently remembered that there was a 24 hold since they just arrived. I was going out of town the next day so I wasn't going to be able to get them. Every encounter has been frustrating so the universe is telling me to be done.

Fantastic experience: This morning I took my dog to get groomed and once again there was a new girl there. Her name is Leslie, she was very nice. I was scared to leave my dog there for grooming from previous appointments, but Leslie took the time and listened to my concerns, since my dog is 13 years old with previous hip issues. But Leslie took such good care of her while she was there, that I have to admit, this is one time in years that my dog does not come home limping for days after getting groomed. As long as Leslie is there I will not be scared or nervous about getting her groomed again there. Thank you Leslie for caring and doing a great job… Hope you stick around for a long time. Positive experience: I had a good experience overall. The specific food I wanted wasn't in stock, but I found a comparable formula in the same brand. I was pleased to find out there is a rewards program and will likely be back. My dog likes the food too!

Negative experience: I hate giving bad reviews but today was the Worst My appointment was at 12 she told me a hour my dog wasn’t ready until 3:00 got there his hair cut was horrible look nothing like the picture I showed her before leaving he didn’t even smell or look like she even bath him at all and on top of that she cut his ear smh just horrible. horrible horrible HORRIBLE (Groomer- Elizabeth)….the pictures I show her was a previous cut he had gotten from this location before just for got the groomers name…he don’t even look like the same dog ♀️

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful staff and great prices! The pooch wash area is so convenient for us as we normally give our GSD outdoors… and now that’s it’s cold we come here. Plus I get my fur baby his bakery cookies. It’s a win win! We get to bathe him and he gets his treats! The guys working there are so pleasant and helpful too! They remember us when we pass by too! Definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: I needed to get a few fresh water fishes for my tank. My friend recommended this location because they have a good variety of fish to choose from. When I approached the tanks in the back, I literally stopped in awe at how clean, presentable, and clearly well taken care of these tanks were. I have been hitting different locations for fish supplies during these past couple weeks and I have yet to see a set up like this one. You can immediately tell that the fish are cared for and loved here. I think the best part about this place though is the manager Daniel. I’d consider myself a newbie to the world of fish caring. Daniel seemed happy to help my friend and I pick out the best fish combination that suited our specific tanks and needs. He spent at least an hour and a half with us and was so patient throughout the entire process. We had lots of questions and he had answers to every single one. You can tell this guy has a true passion for fish. He is very proud of the care he puts into the fish at the store. I walked out of the store completely satisfied and excited to begin my journey of fish caring knowing that Daniel had set me up to give my fish a happy life. This is now my one stop shop for all my fish needs. Thanks again for your help, Daniel!

Positive experience: I bring my dog here when it's too cold to wash him outside. They have a nice dog washing station with shampoo, blow dryer, and towels. Decent selection of treats, cookies, and toys for my guy. Their Betta fish section is sad, minus two stars for that. The fish are in dirty water conditions and it's clear the employees don't do water changes. The fish just look miserable, some are ill, and are clearly neglected. I would not buy Betta fish from this location, and there are other pet stores in the area that keep them in healthier conditions. They only sell small bowls for the fish as well, which is not ideal. Invest in a tank and you'll have a healthier, happier, and longer living pet.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVED my experience at Pet Supplies Plus! Kamillah did such a beautiful job grooming and deshedding my pup! I'm a first-time dog-mom and my dog, Penny Moon, looked so fresh and clean after her grooming appoint. Kamillah did a wonderful job walking me through each kind of treatment that would benefit my dog, giving me more insight on the type of fur my dog has and things that I would need to regularly maintain (i.e., brushing her fur). She took the time to explain the pricing and the different kinds of treatment, to help me save and receive the best services for my pup. The store is always clean and the staff is friendly and kind! If you need to get anything for your pup (or pet), you should go visit Pet Supplies Plus in Sugar Land! You won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: It was my first time here yesterday & the store was super clean and organized. Staff members were very welcoming and helpful. Many things were on sale too! Their small bakery had lots of varieties of treats. My dog loved his donut!

Negative experience: Me and my husband just coming out of this store and completely shocked looking at the condition of small pets there. No food or hay for guinea pigs. If you love ur pet please don’t shop here. They kept the pets in horrible condition. I put all stuff back whatever I was about to buy and ran out of store. Horrible.

Negative experience: Came to this store today 8/22/2021 and the employees there were highly unenthusiastic and rude. One of them not even wearing a mask and kept on sneezing while cleaning his nose with his shirt. Not coming to this store again.

Fantastic experience: I had been driving all over Houston trying to locate some loose Coconut Fiber for my plants. I called the Sugar Land location and Olivia was so sweet. She and the team located the product for me and my search was over!!! When I arrived, Ashley walked me over to the product (as opposed to pointing or saying - it's over there). Le helped me carry my merchandise to the counter and then carried it to my car, despite the rain!!! Thank you Olivia, Ashley and Le for your OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I will be back!!!!

Negative experience: I moved to this area about a year ago and visited the Pet Supplies Plus Sugar Land location maybe 3 times not counting today. I will NOT be returning. I was approached by a young female associate who for some reason thought, that I thought, that she thought, that I was trying to STEAL something. But she was only making sure I didn’t need assistance or was ready to checkout. Unfortunately, the approach was all wrong. I was highly offended by the initial idea of, and I quote “I don’t want you to think that I think you are trying to steal something..” Cool... I didn’t even think that way, but knowing this is the treatment I get, this store will no longer get my business. Someone should speak to that young lady about social stigmas and how not to be micro aggressive because of her own predisposition in this world.

Positive experience: Been a regular customer since they opened. Stock is low and seems like there have been several turnovers in store personnel since the pandemic and it isn't as good a shopping experience as it used to be.

Fantastic experience: I love coming here especially for grooming. Kenna is the best. I have tried going to other groomers, but have not found anyone that treats my puppy as well as Kenna does. I have moved 30 minutes away from this location, but will keep coming back for grooming. The price is reasonable and she always makes sure that she knows what kind of cut you want for your pup and goes above and beyond!

Positive experience: I love the self grooming station! It allows two dogs at a time, even though it’s such a small space. I try to go when no one else is there to prevent issues. The downside is that people are often inconsiderate of the people coming behind them and leave the drain clogged with dog hair as well as the provided brushes. So I often have to clean up the space before and after I bring my dog. Staff are very friendly!
