Fantastic experience: I was visiting from out of town and needed some food for my Bearded Dragon and stopped in here. Wow, I felt like I was in a mini zoo exhibit! So beautiful, so many critters. Had a great time walking around seeing everything and the workers were very friendly and I got everything I needed. I would absolutely come here again when I visit just to walk the store and see all the setups and critters again!

Fantastic experience: This is hands down one of the coolest places I've ever been. When we walked in my daughter immediately said "are we at a zoo?" Their terrariums and tanks are absolutely incredible. Huge selection of fish, amphibians and supplies. They even have plants for the terrariums. We went in for crickets but stayed to look at all the amazing displays. Very kind, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: So glad to have this store in the area. They have plenty of feeders which is what I needed but the location is spectacular. You can tell the owners and staff really care about this place and animals in general by the attention to detail in all the displays. The staff was really well informed and aware of best practices. Big box store employees don't know what "bioactive" means most of the time but here they surely do. The enclosures adorned with wooden frames and gears was a creative way to give a steampunk aesthetic to their displays. They even have a riparian saltwater tank with tiny mangroves. Impressive.

Fantastic experience: I ama ball python breeder and made the Mistake of all mistakes and accidentally ordered a Burmese python I had no way to properly keep a baby that big and the ladies at the store found a ball python female and worked a deal for me where everyone was happy. So thank you summer and I'm terrible with names but both ladies were ABSOLUT£Ly amazing in helping withmy mistake I can't want to see What kindof baby ball Pythons I can make now!

Negative experience: listen, i love fish. but for TWO years ive been coming here, and out of all of the fish over the years i’ve bought, 4 lived. the rest died within days. i’ve even bought different kinds of fish. i told one of the girls “last time we bought fish here they all died so im gonna try again” and she just said “ok” like that wasn’t an issue.. i don’t know. i have a 5gal tank, temp at 76, a 10gal filter, cinnamon leaves, real plants, i treat my water, etc. if we had another fish store id say go there, but this place EATS money. 50 for plastic fish decorations, 12 per fish for fish that dont even live. The only REALLY good deal they have is that 2.5,5, and 10 gallons are all the same price. ($20)

Fantastic experience: This is easily the nicest and best kept aquarium store I have ever been to! I came in just to look and asked Summer about an algae problem I’ve been having in my aquarium. She was understood what I was poorly trying to explain and was able to recommend some things I will try to do to fix it. Their aquatic plants are beautiful and healthy, and every fish and reptile looked well cared for and happy. I only wish I lived closer so I could come more than once a year! Wish I could give it more than five stars

Negative experience: They are killing these beta fish. Beta fish are supposed to be in tanks no less than 50 gallons with proper things to keep them entertained. These fish have feelings and are most definitely depressed in these cups. Terrible.

Negative experience: Prices were crazy high, selling a normal ball python male for 200 is way to much. Let alone I couldn't get any questions answered, because the staff didn't know the aanwser and gave up

We recently won two gold fish at the fair and the staff did a great job explaining everything to us on setting up the fish tank and advised us on the best options for other fish that would go with the gold fish. Negative experience: Terrible place they keep betas in dyed water and small small glasses (illegal) they seem to not care about how they treat people unless you're a local

Negative experience: This store has really unique display tanks, unlike any I've ever seen before! Overall the animal husbandry is pretty good and they have a great selection of animals and dry goods. The vintage tanks are extra cool. The staff was also very friendly. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is due to their betta care. Bettas are notoriously miskept, but I have never seen such small "tank" sizes for bettas. We all know Petco and PetSmart keep this species in tiny plastic cups (maybe ~0.7 litres), but this store keeps their bettas in brandy snifters (without lids) which are about 0.2-0.35 litres. Petco/PetSmart cups are small enough, I cannot fathom why this store chooses to keep so many Bettas in stock while compromising their enclosure size rather than giving them space to turn around and reducing their stock slightly to encorporate larger enclosures. The bettas weren't carded either (meaning there wasn't anything placed between cups to reduce stress from males seeing each other constantly) which is extremely important for this species wellbeing. I would love to speak to those who make decisions about the shop's fish husbandry about this, as I have suggestions that would allow for a decent amount of stock without compromising the animals welfare. Keeping bettas in larger enclosures would also reduce the frequency of water changes preformed, saving time and money. Profit should never be put above animal welfare, which is unfortunately very common in the pet industry. I would love to see your bettas kept with the same care that you give to all of your other animals.

Negative experience: Please do not buy anything from this store I can explain. Soon after walking into this establishment I was greeted with several dead and dying fish seemingly in every other tank. I have also sadly heard from several people and friends that they have bought diseased fish from this store most of the time these fish would not only die but infect anything else in there tank.

Fantastic experience: This store is awesome. I haven't been in a while do to moving away and joining the Navy. But what I can tell you is the owner is a hobbiest. Hobbiest are the resource to keeping pets. You can ask him anything and he is honest enough to tell you his good or bad experiences and aid you in keeping a truly beautiful set up for your pets whether they have gills and scales or cute frogs. This is your shop. I want to send a big thank you for supercharging my Hobbie and passion for reef systems.

Fantastic experience: They have the biggest selection of fish and other reptiles/ amphibians. The atmosphere is fun and the staff are knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Dropped in to see what they had for corals, saltwater fish and supplies. The other reviews nailed. I left as I didn't want to chance of putting something bad in my aquarium. Not well maintained tanks. Nobody even offered any help.

Negative experience: Dropped off fish to get the 1/4 of the price offer due to our emergency need to rehome them situation and still haven't received call from owner about getting my payment.

Negative experience: I'm not surprised about the other terrible reviews and the sick fish they brought home. Considering that the Beta fish selection were all in WINE glasses, and I few dead ... Broke my heart walking out of the store to see such sick fish throughout the store. Not any better than the corporate stores unfortunately. I'm not one to give had reviews, but I'd love it if this place figured out a different setup in order to have healthier fish.

Fantastic experience: Dont let the name fool you it's got more than just fish. It has everything you need to set up a containment and feed everything from gerbils to reptiles and amphibians. If you're buying mice(and maybe crickets) make sure to ask what the discounted amount is as it seems to change.

Negative experience: The owner is a nasty fellow. I was sold sick fish and then I was blamed. They sell fish already sick and then you pay more to treat them. Money is what's important here, not your pets.

Fantastic experience: This place is great. I went in with my 7yo to pick out a pet for her 8th birthday. The staff was very friendly and patient with all our questions. We ended up leaving with a sweet little corn snake and all the accessories we needed to care for it. Reasonably priced. My soon to be 8yo is very excited.

Fantastic experience: The enclosures for the reptiles are gorgeous and the whole store has a fun Rainforest Cafe-esque vibe. There are lots of tropical fish and reptiles. They sell frozen mice and crickets for feeding pets, too, and a sign says they offer some basic vet services as well.

Fantastic experience: The staff are awesome, the owner is involved and everyone is very knowledgeable and a beautiful store.

Negative experience: Owner sold me angle fish from the back room that were infected with some kind of fungus that killed all my other fish... I should have been weary when he refused to give me a receipt. The angle fish I bought didn't last a week and then it spread to all my other fish killing hundreds of dollars worth of fish. Owner of the store is a know it all and is really no help at all when you ask him the simplest of questions and enjoys belittling customers. I will never buy fish from here again after I was sold infected fish that killed everything else in my aquarium. I highly recommend that NO ONE buys anything from this overpriced store that intentionally sells customers sick and infectious fish.

We have had wonderful experiences with the health of the fish we have purchased from here. We live 2 hours away and the stock has always been healthy enough to survive such a long journey. Positive experience: Definitely a place for fish affishanados... See what I did there. But my wife and I were hoping for more reptile products. We have 20 something snakes and I just wish we had more scaley pet products more specifically feeders. Little hoppers and large rats. Fish looked very happy and we'll loved.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. I visit every other week to get crickets for my bearded dragon. They carry quality products and are always available for advice. What is special about the fish connection are the zoo like displays in fairly dark and refreshingly humid air. It is good to zen out and commune with the fish. There are very interesting salt water tanks and a magnificent cichlid display. Many tank/habitats are for viewing only with fish you can enjoy year after year.

Positive experience: I love this store, but fish must be quarantined before placing in the display tank. I made the mistake of trusting the store and brought home diseased fish. The ich was very difficult to get under control. 6 fish died, 5 of which I had purchased that day.

Negative experience: I used to love this store. They are always busy and try to help as best they can. I bought a pet rat that just looked dirty but it turns out he was heavily infested with lice. His teeth were grown sideways and into his cheeks causing issues showing he never had anything to chew on. The vet was appalled and suggested I put him down because of how bad his condition was. I’ve spent hundreds for this poor little soul that was tortured his whole life by the owners and employees of the store. Please be careful when purchasing things from here as they might have lice in/on it.

Even if you have no plans to own a pet at this time you should go in and just look at the wonderful decor. I promise you will love it.

Positive experience: Great selection, super helpful staff, lots and lots of fresh and saltwater fish. They have other creepy crawlies, pretty sure I saw rodents, reptiles, possibly invertebrates. My girls were happy with The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Charming. We almost ended up with a pair of dwarf clawed frogs but they had the regular sized ones in stock. They don't hide as much so they make fun pets.

"This week Monday February 2 i had gotten a new suitable home for my gerbil the gerbils name is Kenzie i had a new propare tank, water bottle, hideaway house, and wheel now i am hoping to get a friend for her to keep her company while i'm attending school thank you. This is my new house for my gerbil its cost a total of 140 but it's great for her thank you. Also would I be able to get another female gerbil from another litter, or would it be unsafe? We have gotten 1 new gerbil which their loving each other. Thank you i had gotten to healthy gerbils in which were opposite genders but it was fine. They were breeding as we planned. We've been waiting but now she has a baby gerbil which is surviving but she's protective which is fine. Her baby is now three days old thank you fish connection. Yes fortunately they haven't been fighting though the female just had her first litter all the pups are small , strong, and adorable. They are nice to one another the gerbils are not aggressive towards one another.
