Fantastic experience: I got a black ghost knife fish from here that I adore till this very day. I love. How family oriented and chilled the environment is. I know these fish are loved and cared for the owner was able to give me some of the aquarium water which I know really, really helps the longevity of my fish. I'll definitely be coming back. Because I can trust that the owner has Put quality care and effort into Understand? Ing what we want and communicating to us. What we need to basically keep these fish living and swimming for as long as possible LO. L.. Because I surely have questions for days. Really comfortable process. Great prices. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to get your fish. The customer service is top notch. I go at least once or twice a month and he remembers me and is always helpful. They’re very knowledgeable and very helpful. You will always love going to them for all your fish needs.

Fantastic experience: We went in super green to having an aquarium and all that went into it. Mr. Bruce was very welcoming and very knowledgeable. Allowed us to pick his brain about all things fish. Spent about 45 minutes talking with us. We decided to get one fish that would go well with our other fish in our tank and he recommended a Bavarian Ram!! So that's what we got. I will be going back on Tuesday to get more fish when the shipment comes. We will NEVER buy our fish from another place. I have been almost everywhere in Atlanta and surrounding counties and he by far is the best with customer service and prices are definitely unbeatable! Please please you will not regret it

Fantastic experience: We have 2) 120 gallon fresh water tanks in our home and 2 smaller tanks in out business. Most all of our fish have come from Fish Bolz. If they dont have it, they will get it for you. If you dont know what you want they will suggest something. If you are having a problem, they will go out of their way to fix it. Bruce and his wife are good honest hard working small business owners. We trust them and enjoy doing business with them.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. The variety of fish is extremely large and Mr.Bruce is very helpful. I called originally asking around for female guppies. When he told me he did not have them I am glad I didn’t hang up. Immediately he told me he’d be able to get them and in a few days I pickup 3 beautiful guppies. Such a great place. I saw some comments about the appearance of the store and that doesn’t matter when you step in. First thing you see is the plants and saltwater setup which blew me away. I will say when buying any of these fish to quarantine/medicate not because of the store but as a preventative measure. A huge lot of ailments take awhile to show at no fault of Fish Bolz. These things happen when fish go from location to location. Maybe just separate for a couple days to gauge activity. I had worms with the guppies which I’m not sure what could have been the reason but I quickly took action and now they are super healthy.

Fantastic experience: They always have something unique and exotic, and they can order whatever you like if they don't have it. My husband and I fav store.

Negative experience: Monday February 5 2024 My husband and I purchase three African Cichlid fish and a used heat pump. Bruce (the owner) explained how to place the fish and heat pump in my 30 gallon tank. I did everything as instructed. I was excited and happy with my fish. The next morning less than twelve hours; all three fish was dead and the heat pump not working. I call the fish bolz and spoke with Bruce. He asked were I aware of the no refund sign posted. I stated yes. Bruce stated that we was a nice people and he would test our water and replace the fish in two day. Went to fish bolz on Thursday afternoon. Bruce wasn't there there per his wife; he would be there Friday. Went there on Friday afternoon; per his wife he would be there on Saturday. She took the water; stated she will test it at her house because she didn't have the testing kit there. I called the fish bolz SEVERAL times leaving messages with no response. That Very Bad customers service. I reported this business to the BBB. He was contacted by the BBB, however he refused to respond to me or the them. VERY BAD BUSINESS . . the

Fantastic experience: Bruce is the best. Very friendly and helpful. What ever you need he can order it for you if it’s not at the store. I purchased German Black Rams and Black emperor tetras from here all healthy, except 1 out of 15 fish.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting, their whole system has ich, they put too much salt in the water, they abuse their fish. Never go here your fish will die I can't believe I'm saying it but pet smart would be better than this. There's other fish stores further away it's worth the trip. I feel so sorry for all those fish. They dint even acclimate the fish. One walk in and I knew this is just a place where the owners want to make money.

Fantastic experience: Mr Bruce very professional a lot about all types of fish give you the information on and very understanding if you don't understand he will give you enough for knowledge that you'd be able to come out with a beautiful fish tank

Positive experience: I didn't realize this store was going out of business until I got there. If you're looking to get a decent deal on used tanks/stands, they had quite a few! We went looking for a Betta, because the major retailers always seem to have sick fish in tiny containers. Fish Bolz didn't have any, but they did have quite a few pretty Cichlids and a Moray Eel that I just know someone needs in their tank ASAP!

Positive experience: If it was cleaned up and nice it would have definitely been a (4) but the guy was nice and helped with what I needed...it's just not CLEAN.

Negative experience: Please do not waste your time! Used to buy fish here 3 years ago. And since moving wanted to start buying fish from them again. And there was barely any fish, and for the options they had was way overpriced. Looks like it’s on its way out of business. Disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Fish Bolz the past several years. Bruce and all his staff know fish and aquarium set-ups extremely well. His business thrived during the pandemic. 3 months ago, Nicc talked me into buying a Titanium Flowerhorn Cichlid that is so fun to have. It was a great investment! That fish loves to see me come over to the tank, and he behaves himself with his tankmates. I bought him still small enough to mature with the other fish. Go Fish Bolz! I am addicted to that store! The hobby is worth the money!

After our awesome first visit, Fish Bolz is now our new favorite fish store in Georgia. Nicc provided a great personal experience as he was able to answer all of our questions. The rest of the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. They were well stocked and all of the fish looked very healthy.

Fantastic experience: My husband found these amazing young men after losing 12 fish to ICH . They are so knowledgeable and patient with all questions, and a very excited 4 yr old! Their fish tanks are healthy and clean. They have a beautiful selection of fish, and they all look very happy! We got our convict ichlids and baby Jaguar. (No) "Hello fish bolz please hold". After waiting and listening to the guy joke on the other end . He finally got to me. I asked if you had any 7 in Fire Mouth in stock. He rudely said. Fire Mouths don't come" not GROW ",but come in 7in". I said I have a 7-in Fire mouth he said ummm I never seen a 7-in and your 7-in maybe different from mine. Now was that necessary I try to support small businesses but big box store here I come ...said hello to my 7in Fire Mouth .

Negative experience: This place is horrible the fish needs some real care half of them are dead or dying one of the oscars had been attacked by the fish in his tank and he was bloody and was still trying to swim he needed care this place should be shut down then it look like somebody made a mistake and dropped the fish net in the tank which caused some fish to be caught and they was either dead getting ate by other fish or just in there stuck smh it’s really sad

Negative experience: Please read before visiting the store. This is a honest review as a first timer. I’m not from the area and there are no local fish stores in my area. After google search I saw this store which is 1 hour + away but the store had such high rating so decided to give them a call. They didn’t answer the call but after 3-5 tries I was able to get in touch. He told me that he was busy and unable to talk over the phone too long. So he told me to send him a text of what I want so I can place an order. All I wanted to do was just ask how much the fish was and if they have it. I sent him a text, no answer. The next day I called them texted them. Finally he answered and texted me back. It was so hard to just ask a question and place my order. Overall communication was horrible. Only because they were “busy”. Which I can understand that they are busy (There were so many good reviews and I had high expectations. Also I assumed that they are busy because they are that good) but It was unacceptable as a customer. So I confirmed my order many times and made sure that they ordered what I wanted. When I visited there. Tanks weren’t clean, filters were clogged. Many tanks were empty and they were in horrible condition. It felt like animal abuse to me. I mean comparing to Petsmart, at least Petsmart tanks were clean and not foggy. But luckily there were few clean ones. After talking to the employee, They didn’t get my order right. Then told me, the supplier cannot sell the fish that I was looking for. I was extremely mad at that point but I kept my cool and said, you should have told me over the call, or text messages. I asked you so many times and you said you ordered the right ones. Anyways as a conclusion, horrible service, disgusting environment and especially dreadful communication + lies. Also, they got high prices. I’m not planning on visiting them again. ps. After all that I still gave them a chance so I bought other fish in the store to see if their fish is at least better quality than Petsmart. But NOPE! I’m a maniac fish keeper and I have a multiple quarantine tank for different species and 75% of them ended up dead. Other 25% fish were sick but fully recovered.

Negative experience: Very poorly kept. The tanks don't look good at all. Not sure if it's because of the Pandemic but it was not what I expected.

Fantastic experience: I looked all over for fresh waterclams for my pond and couldn't find any. When I contacted Fish bolz they automatically told me they had an connection in Florida. In a week I had my freshwater class. They were informative and professional.

Negative experience: The people are nice but the place is in really bad condition. Saw a few fish dead in the tanks, the brownish/yellowish water I've ever seen with fish swimming in them. One of the fish looked like it was injured (looks like it was gashed and scales are missing on it's left side) and drifting absently in it's area. If you walk past the door there a very brown water tank that had a turtle in such a small space. I didn't even notice the first time til I walked out. All the tanks looked like they were filled with mold and not even cleaned at all. Larger fish seeming dazed from swimming in such small circles in one tiny tank with three or four of them in it. Of course the place is supposed to smell like fish but it was also mixed with the smell of dirty water, it fills your nose very quickly once you walk in. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these fish were sick, they were kept in such bad shape. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the saddest sight I've ever seen when it comes to a pets store and those animals deserve better.

Fantastic experience: I've been looking for a saltwater fish store close to me. I think I've found it. I was pleased with the personal and the knowledge that they know of the fish. I bought my water in to get it tested, they tested it free of charge. I left the store with 5 green chromis and I'm looking forward to going back. Thanks Fish Bolz

Fantastic experience: I have lived in Georgia for six years and looked and looked for a aquatic store that sold large fish. I have several tanks with the largest being a 150 gallon and I was ready to get it started and up and running. I was given this location in Jonesboro and I am without words. This place was everything I’ve been looking for. The owner is very personable and very knowledgeable. The prices are unbelievable and if he don’t have what you are looking for, No Worries, they will get it for you. I am actually going back today for more. Thank you so much !!!!!
