Fantastic experience: Recently I sent my family, who don't know very much about fish in general, to purchase some fish for me because I wasn't able to go with them. I called over the phone and Bailey was a huge help. She was understanding and patient all along the way and it was easy to tell she genuinely cares about the fish and has great knowledge for them. I've had them for a few days and they are all eating and exploring my aquarium. Looking forward to buying more fish from this great place!

Fantastic experience: Aquarium had just what I was looking for! The employees were great and knew what they were talking about! They had a variety of fish to choose from which was great, they also had a beautiful sunset gourami that had just came in which they had in quarantine and I was able to put in on hold til it was ready! This little guy is amazing and doing well!

Negative experience: Went there right at open. First one in the door totally ignored. Other people came in and they were helped. Totally sucky customer service. Will never go back.

Fantastic experience: Don't waste your time anywhere else. This is the best aquarium shop in the city, I'd even argue best freshwater shop in the state. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you might have. The fish and plants all look great. She quarantines new arrivals. 10/10. I'm extremely thankful to live so close to this place.

Positive experience: It should be without saying but always make sure that you quarantine your fish from here I have purchased fish from here on numerous separate occasions I always quarantine but every single time they have always had ick or epistylis or fungus ECT. I quarantine for 2 months and they are with nothing else and my tanks never have any issues so I know they are coming from there like that.

Fantastic experience: Just stopped in as I was in the area and asked a question about a problem I am having with my reef tank. The lady who was cleaning the coral tank (I wish I had gotten her name!) was very helpful and so much more knowledgeable about my problem she gave me too much information! I had her dumb it down for me and she gave me 3 solutions at 3 price points and one solid choice that we agreed would be my best option without breaking the bank. I have been to the other saltwater shops in the metro area and have never been given the time, attention, and thorough knowledge before. It’s a long drive, but I will be back!

Fantastic experience: I’ve purchased multiple rabbit snails, mystery snails, shrimp, and plants from Aquarium Tropical Fish & Supply, and they’ve all been incredibly healthy! Their selection is always great, and they take excellent care of their livestock. I also appreciate that they carry Fritz live nitrifying bacteria, which is so hard to find in stores and makes cycling new tanks so much easier. Highly recommend this place for anyone in the hobby!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I were wanting more Cory catfish to create a little school. We tried for two months for the big box stores with no luck. I called Aquarium and had these little guys quick! We got great instructions on how to acclimate them, and a month later we have some healthy, spunky fish. They have livened up the original two that we had and we love to watch them group together. We will definitely be coming back to this small business. Thank you all so much!!

Fantastic experience: Went in to have my water tested after 3 weeks total. 2 weeks no fish with water conditioning. 1 week with 6 fish, 3 guppies, and 3 tetras. Pet Smart told me we could add more fish after 1 week of fish being in. I felt this was bad information, so I decided to go to Aquarium. The guy was very helpful and tested out water and wrote out the levels. Recommended waiting 2 more weeks due to the nitrogen cycle not in place. He could have easily sold us more fish knowing the might die. However, he recommended not and waiting 2 weeks and retest. Highly recommend this place if setting up a new tank, as you develop the proper water cycle. I highly appreciate the honesty and help. Will be back again. Thank You

Fantastic experience: I called them to ask about if they had some clownfish available before making the drive there and they were helpful on the phone! They had a great selection of fish, and a lot of them looked healthy and well-fed. I appreciate that they take the time to quarantine fish and won't sell you sick fish. They will also hold fish for you. We decided on getting a black snowflake clownfish, and a gladiator clownfish. The employee answered a couple of our questions and we were really happy with our purchase. They are eating well and are exploring more around the tank. We will definitely buy our livestock here more often versus some other aquarium stores!

Positive experience: everytime we try and call this place they dont pick up their phone. we call during normal business hours. when we went there they were suppose to be open. but then they decide to close at 3pm instead of 7pm. (we got therr at 3pm) the drive was long. they have a facebook link on their google profile but the link doesnt even work, their facebook page doesnt exist anymore. they dont have a website to show their stock. just wish it was more professional. Edit: got ahold of them today. they said they would hold 3 sparkling gourami for us. we will go there today to pick them up. the lady on the phone sound very nice.

Negative experience: I called ahead to ask if they had certain fish they said yes .but when I got ther they didn't have the kind pof fish I wanted and I asked to save it I'm coming to buy it. Not only was it not what I asked for the lady said all her fish are under quarantine and couldn't sell me no fish .that was the worst customer service I ever had and she had the nerve to tell me I need a 120 gallon tank for the fish she was selling had them in a 10 gallon tank I will never go back ther agaim

Fantastic experience: Aquariums is an awesome fish store! They've got a good variety of fish, and are very knowledgeable about fish/aquariums. My kids love going with me to see all the fish, including Oscar the puffer! They also care a lot about their customers and their fish. Which gives you the best chance at a quality experience both in store and at home with your pets!

Negative experience: I was told they had a good asst. of freshwater fish. I made the long up there from the south side of okc. I found a selection of fish I wanted to purchase. I waited for a long minute until gentleman finally ask me if he could help me. I told him what I wanted to buy and told me that they were on hold for customers. So I go on to my next selection. I was told again they were on hold for other customers. I know those customers didn't pay for them in advance.You sir just lost out on a customer. I would have spent some good cash.If nothing is for sale then put a sign on the tank NOT FOR SALE.

Positive experience: Only a four star for I am going completely off visual presentation on this one. I am sure the water parameters were exceptional and the fish looked good enough to take home. During my second visit i was able to talk a bit with the owner and staff. In this visit i was uplifted by the spirit and passion they have for the hobby and brought home some stunning fish. Deffinitely coming back again for any future purchases. Sorry big box stores but you've been outmatched.

Positive experience: Good, healthy stock! I like that they quarantine all livestock for 2 weeks before selling, so I can be confident that my aquaria will thrive. The staff could be a little more knowledgeable, and some of their info on aquarium stocking can be a bit out-of-date or inaccurate. Who uses inch-per-gallon anymore? Yikes! Also there was some confusion over which species some fish were, but that's pretty common in the industry so I'm not mad about it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the selection and pricing are great!

Fantastic experience: This place is incredible. The Owner, Leigh Anne, took an enormous amount of time today to explain to my mother and me how to fix a problem with mom’s fish tank. They also solved a problem I had with my “green” tank. They did not benefit at all with giving us this advice and just did it out of the kindness of their hearts. Clearly, they love fish and want to make certain fishies have the best home possible. Plus, they have really cool fish. If you really want your fish hobby to succeed, go here! Don’t go to a big chain—they are NOT as knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Nice, knowledgeable people. Prices are good. Some of the tanks do look a little sketchy... But I've never seen any sick (or dead) fish in the tanks. Of the dozen or so fish I've bought here over the years, I've never had any issue with them being sick or dying shortly after. Definitely choose this store over any of the chain stores.
