Ocean Wonders: Sharks!

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I ever went and everything was up and running. It used to be under so much construction. The shark tank tunnel is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend going. The whole experience was amazing. Food is definitely overpriced. A lot of fun activities for the kids. They have a cute sea lion show, would definitely recommend. Parking is horrendous especially because we went on the weekend, the lot was full so it took us 30 to 45 mins to find street parking. We bought tickets off of groupon and went straight in as there was no line.

Positive experience: Really nice except for the way you have to visit each exhibit. The flow is off.

Fantastic experience: I always love coming to this aquarium, i can never get tired of it! The shark exhibit was so beautiful they have this beautiful mellow music leading you to the sharks and it was just gorgeous. The shark scared the shit out of me though when it opened it's mouth a little bit

Fantastic experience: This is a beautiful and interesting place. Good for children. Always going there, it has lots of children. I don´t know if there are a time better for adults (I´d like to know!). Many different fishes, sharks and other sea animals to see.

Positive experience: Went there by default, as luna park was closed. The aquarium is a nice one. The shark place is to see, not only for the sharks they have but for a relaxing atmosphere where you can sit to see the fishes. Got seals and otters to have a look at. The staff was very friendly when we approached them to ask some questions on the way they feed the otters. They got a show with seals but it was like lasting for 10 mn at most. Yet nice to see the energy staff put to entertain us and trained the seals. However the whole aquarium could get a bit of a renewing in some part of it

Fantastic experience: Lots of nice fish, you go in to a tunnel and see the fish around you, this is the entrance, and then inside the building, there's also a smaller tunnel where the kids can go in and the parents can take a picture of them inside the aquarium!!!

Negative experience: They need to clean the place some more the lunch room is dirty The food is all over the place and also fix some of the entry and exit door.

Positive experience: Beautiful aquarium with wonderful examples of marine life. A little worn and some interactive displays not working. could do with a facelift and cleanup. Seal show was short and basic, perhaps better when it's summer.

Fantastic experience: They have a great walk through tank and several other nice tanks there. Really great and a nice assortment of fish. Throughout the aquarium you can see sharks, rays, and invertabrea like giant crabs lobster cuttlefish, etc. And they have some giant angels, tangs, and an assortment of greta fish.

Positive experience: We had such a great time visiting New York Aquarium with my family!! The one downside is I went with a toddler who ended up napping during our visit and since they have restrictions on strollers in most areas we couldn't enjoy some spots and we unfortunately missed the sea lion show!!! I guess we will just have to come back!

Fantastic experience: This aquarium is a great place to spend a few hours in. From penguins to sharks they have it all. A very clean place with plenty of helpful staff. I love coming here and will do so for years to come.

Negative experience: This aquarium is not worth the price, don’t recommend

Positive experience: Great place. Struggling to justify the £29pp entry fee though.. I hear its cheaper if you book in advance but not by much and for what you get for your money you better freekin love sea life

Fantastic experience: Had an Absolutely WONDERFUL time at the Aquarium yesterday. Empty. Kids are back in school. Beautiful Washed Ashore Art exhibits. Loved the AMAZING shark tank and all of the other fish I saw. Also enjoyed the Aqua theater show. Highly Recommend.

Fantastic experience: I come here annually with my camp. It doesn't get old; the huge tanks make the viewing fun, especially the beginning tunnel and the glass wall at the end. It's info section at the end is really good, making it interactive so kids can enjoy as they learn about the vital facts about ocean trash.

Fantastic experience: Kids from 2 through 6 loved all the great walk-through tanks and fascinated by the fish! Must buy timed tickets beforehand.

Fantastic experience: I have gone both during the week and on Wednesdays when if you reserve ahead on mondays from 3-4 pm, you can get up to 4 free tickes. To enter from 3pm to close. You get more than enough time to see the show and explore around. Kids will have a great time.

Fantastic experience: It's an awesome place to visit. This is because the exhibit is big and has many animals including sharks, and many more. Also, the exhibit is educational because it tells people not to populate the oceans and to keep it clean for all the animals.

Fantastic experience: A lot of things to do and a lot of animals to explore. A brand new underwater access to seals, otters and penguins will not let you overheat in scorching temperatures of summer in NYC. I personally wonder why a rooftop is always closed for public, it used to be one of my favorite places in the aquarium.

Positive experience: Some of the exhibits are falling apart and really make the place feel shoddy, but the aquariums are wonderful.

Negative experience: Too expensive for what they offer

Positive experience: It's decent, Nice attractions and friendly staff. It was really funny when it was time to feed the penguins a Seagull tried to act like a penguin to get a fish!

Fantastic experience: It's a fantastic place to visit. I've done an overnight there and it was amazing! They have family overnights which are open to the public, so you don't have to get a big group to go. It's great for adults and kids as well as adults without kids. Each habitat explores a different part of New York waters except for the coral tunnel. The coral tunnel is what most people expect when they think about sharks and rays, but as you go through the building you get to see the diversity of animals that are right in are own backyard!

Fantastic experience: If you are a child or have a kid or have an inner child to awaken, I highly recommend you to visit this aquatic miracle. The fishes are healthy and their environments are quite well kept. The information regarding tagging, locating and pollution is awesome.

Positive experience: The shark exhibit was the highlight of our visit. The various tunnels and exhibits that gave you a sensation of being underwater were absolutely incredible, and I can't recommend enough for those that like zoos or aquariums. The only downside, I might say, is the aquarium felt a little small as compared to some others, and some of the exhibits were closed.

Fantastic experience: We took our daughter there for her 11th birthday with our nieces and one of our granddaughters. That's where she wants to go. They really enjoy there self looking at all the fish's, sharks, jellyfish, lobsters, and so much more.

Positive experience: The aquarium was super cool, but smaller than expected. I really loved the spineless exhibit...! There were a lot of jellyfish, and one of those underwater tubes with sharks. There's a huge area with manta rays, too. The otter exhibit was being cleaned when we went, but they have sea otters too.

Fantastic experience: Love this aquarium. If you have not seen it you need to go. Ny Aquarium coney island! Great place to spend some time. There is a Cafe there too!
