Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and has all of your critters' needs. Their staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and fast, and we have never called or showed up for something, and they were sold out. Their prices are way better for our needs than the big pet stores. For what we need, we are paying at least half the price for the same product, and it's just as well. My kids love this shop even if it's just to go in and look at all of the animals and talk to the staff. We will be doing all of our pet business with them, superb staff, friendly faces, quality service and products.

There prices are great and very affordable, Ryan on there aquatics team is one of the best and can help with all of your aquatic needs, there entire staff is amazing and they are well versed in all of the pets they sell and can help you get started with any new little friend.

Negative experience: I was honestly appalled as a reptile owner who came from out of town for the first time to this store! Bearded dragons had nothing but a red light on them. Some desperately trying to escape their cages UNDERSTANDABLY! No hygrometers in the case! And then I was sold a 100 count live small dubia that was priced almost $30‍♀️,she gives me 75% off because “there’s wasn’t 100 in there!” Get home to realize there is 13 in the container!! Every beardie in there had red light and coil uvb IF THERE WAS A UVB AT ALL ON THEM! The ONLY reason I’m giving 2 stars is bcus they were atleast nice! As a rescuer,I wanted to bring every one of those babies home! Y’all aren’t a big chain store! Do better!

Fantastic experience: Everything seemed well kept, everything organized and kept together. I had a helper who was wearing a small hat who was more than accommodating to helping me find a dog harness when they didn't seem to have one in the right size in stock. I definitely recommend this location for all your fish or pet needs.

Fantastic experience: Never knew this place was here but they are now my one stop shop. I went looking for rats and nobody else had them especially live rats but these guys and gals do and they aren't expensive either.

Negative experience: Please be weary of this place, back in late 2022 I got a ferret from here. 1 week later he passed from distemper. We called to let them know only to be told they were aware as one had died during transport and the other 2 died the day after we had gotten him. We were never told and they were hesitate on refunding us. Please be careful when getting animals from here!

Positive experience: I like this store because it's on my side of town. The employees are ok for the most part, I do wish they would move the cat food because that aisle seems to be the one they-the employees like to walk down to get to the back of the store. There is an aisle on either side but I had 3 employees and 2 customers walk in front of me while I was looking and when the 4th employee came I said "no, there's other aisles, pick one" and he did and didn't have to walk in front of me. Also on that occasion 2 employees were arguing loudly at the register. I haven't seen that girl in there again but I thought that was kind of... messy for lack of a better word. Overall I will continue to go here because it's convenient and the owner is really nice, also they have the food my cat likes

Will custom order anything you need that they don’t have in the store, but their selection is top notch so chances are you will find what you need. Pet education when purchasing a new pet: answering as many questions as you need to feel comfortable taking care of your new baby. Inexpensive cages, caring staff, & great selection for the win.

Fantastic experience: I dont live in Shreveport area.. but stopped in to Pet Zone and was very happy with this store. Great Fish room and Aquarium supplies. Only thing I didnt find I was looking for was some Driftwood pieces.

Negative experience: Went in to pick up pet rats because Petsmart and Petco had none. The lady that helped us was very nice and I could tell she was trying her best, that is the reason I’m giving two stars. I expected it but I was disappointed that there were so many rats in one TANK and they had extremely dusty bedding. Rats are born with extremely sensitive respiratory systems so a tank + dusty bedding is a big no. (Cage with wire bars and aspen bedding are recommended) They were also being picked up by their tails, rat tails are connected to their spines and you can severely injure them by doing that. We got two hairless rats and two normal coat rats. One of the hairless rats we picked up came with an upper respiratory infection that we’ll have to pay $100+ for at the vet. :/ They don’t seem to have mites that I can see which is a relief. The other animals seemed okay, I would just highly recommend the rodents be kept in well ventilated cages and better handling. I get they probably sell them as feeders but i’m sure no snake would want to eat a disgusting, sick nervous wreck of a rat either lol.

Fantastic experience: Pretty good pet store (Fish side review) I can only attest to the aquatics side but they do seem to have an amazing selection for other pet needs. Great place to get healthy fish for your aquarium / aqua-scaping needs. Would recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Super fun little pet store. They sell duck weed and frog-bit. They have a great selection of nerite snails and they even have a wide variety of driftwood for your tank. This was the only pet store I could find that sold a particular type of fish food also. I highly recommend this pet store. They have a huge range of pets and supplies for your needs.

Fantastic customer service, the workers are always the nicest and quick to ask if I need help. They are the ONLY place I go for live or frozen feeder rats/mice. They will always have my business!

Positive experience: Good variety of small animals. Surprising number of birds (different types of parrots). Too many birds to be adequately socialize. Tho, all the animals, including the birds, seemed in good health.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic little shop! Every time I go for fish supplies/fish, I am amazed at how friendly the staff are, how clean the tanks are, and how healthy the animals look! They had a lovely orange and white cray (who I didn't get) and I've gotten three Plecos from them for fairly cheap! They had a few axolotls last time I stopped by, which were very cute. Nothing I've gotten has died, and they all seem to be healthy. Fantastic place for getting supplies! I will be returning very often for my tank supplies. I cannot tell y'all enough how much I love this shop. I will attach photos (probably lots of them haha) the next time I stop by.

Fantastic experience: I showed up on Sunday morning and they weren't open until 1 pm because I needed a bottle for kittens that lost their momma and luckily a lady was there early to open the store and I explained what had happened and they let me in so I could get the stuff to take care of the babies. Everyone there was so kind and helpful and understanding. They all went above and beyond my expectations to help me and I wanted to thank them from the bottom of my heart. I am so grateful they were there and I highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet of any kind. Positive experience: This is a nice pet store. They have amazing aquariums, a wide variety of supplies for you dog, reptiles and small animals - all at an affordable price. There are several staff roaming the aisles to offer assistance. I rated it so low because there was a particular staff who did not assist me when I requested help. Instead she was snarky and walked away. The staff that did help me was super helpful and attentive. I didn't get her name, but a BIG SHOUT-OUT of THANKS to the gal with the glasses and purple hair.

Fantastic experience: The best ever I have two ferret from them I'm called whenever I come and asked to be put on the list for ferrets very wide selection of animals very very friendly almost everyone in the store know me and Milo I bring him in and everyone knows my ferret this is the only store in Shreveport/ Bossier that actually had ferrets during the pandemic I'll never shop at any other pet store unless not in Shreveport....I'll rather shop at Walmart for pet supplies this store has never failed me and I know they never will

Fantastic experience: Really good service, there was a bad smell in the building but that's expected for a pet store. I usally go here to get insects for my bearded dragon and sometimes treats for my dogs. There were many animals to choose from in the store, lots of pretty pretty birds.

Fantastic experience: Best store in Shreveport-Bossier! Petco and PetSmart are bigger, of course, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous, but this place has got it all. Way more animals for one thing and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff as well. They have parrots, parakeets, rabbits, a hare, lizards, rats, guinea pigs, and ferrets! Plenty of books, cages, litter, and food, too! This is the place, right across from used to be South Park Mall on Jewella, a little bit south of the Inner Loop.

Fantastic experience: 60 miles to get there, friendly staff always seems pretty steady with business when I get there. Decent selection of food usually for our bearded dragons. Do not carry what our macaw eats, but think they are gonna try and get some. I was excited to see ferrets, another pet my parent never let me have…. So I just might have to get one after researching it further. Looks like a pretty good selection of fish - although not once have I seen angelfish but if I start my aquarium back up I will probably have to get some from there.
