Positive experience: Overall cool place to go! My kids loved the little games and shows they had. I only wish they had more exhibits to visit. Definitely recommend.

Rebekah Turner 2 months ago

Negative experience: Was not happy. Took my 2.5 year old, the place was very dirty. Honestly there isn’t much to do. Not worth the money in my opinion. Two sting rays in the tank. The fish tanks were cool but honestly that was the only highlight of this place.

Kelly Lawrence 2 months ago

Positive experience: Again to many broken items and kids toys. It's an extremely expensive place for very few things to work. They didn't even have cue balls because everyone used them for the broken ball carrier so they all ended up stuck in it. No one could get them out. But kids were fine

Fantastic experience: i used to go here when i was little so this was a very nostalgic visit :) it was very fun!!! the gift shop also had my favorite animal (whale shark)!!! i even got a free sticker for my birthday since thats why I visited :D

Fantastic experience: Great experience for children - especially when the weather isn't great for outdoor activities.

Fantastic experience: IMAG camps are great for kids. Interactive, engaging and safe. Clean atmosphere with opportunities to learn through hands on science. The staff are kid oriented and fun.

Positive experience: perfect for kids and or families up to 8 years old. Any older, and they will be utterly bored. The highlight of this place is the stingray exhibit or if you’re lucky you may get a chance to touch them. However, this place is not worth the $20 admission

Positive experience: It's a small place, but it's a nice spot for a short family outing, especially if you're looking for something educational. It seems to be geared more toward toddler and elementary aged kids. They have a decent sized play area with hands-on activities, a stingray touch tank, several animal exhibits, and a small 3D theater. Again - it's not huge, so you'll probably see everything in an hour or less. That being said, although I probably won't go back anytime soon, it was a nice experience.

Negative experience: Really a disappointment. Took our kids there as a part of our homeschooling curriculum, and the not so nice lady at the front desk asked us why our kids weren’t in school. The upstairs was closed, there was no literature or brochures or maps available for the grounds, and the animals are questionably sourced. It was all very disappointing and definitely not worth the 75$ we had to spend to get in. (Oh, and the fossil hunt is an extra charge)

Fantastic experience: Not too big or busy. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Shows are short, they were fun and informative. Cafe was closed but we knew this ahead of time and brought snacks to eat at one of the picnic areas. I wish the gift shop had more variety, lots of plush animals but nothing on weather or planets.

Fantastic experience: My family and I had a wonderful time navigating the exhibits, from the animals to the space exhibits. In each place we had a wonderful exhibit speaker, Emily, who expertly educated and informed our experience on the solar system and training techniques for feeding stingrays! I left a donation and will be sure to tell others to visit when then come down to Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

Negative experience: It might've been a great experience but we arrived at 4 with my toddlers and the receptionist did everything she could to convince us not to "spend" our money (she all but said waste). I knew what time they closed when I got there, I was willing to spend my money to get the kids out of the house for the first time in several days and enjoy our 45 minutes to see what we could see. She even had the idea to ask why I didn't come earlier?? Wow. Sorry IMAG, I was really hoping to be inspired to come back when there was more time in the day but the receptionist saved me 56 dollars. Thx! The 2 stars is bc we could at least see the petting tank from where we stood and that looked pretty interesting

Jacob Schauer 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: Fun exhibits for the family. Kids were able to interact with stingrays and an alligator.

Annaliese Engel 5 months ago

Negative experience: Much of this museum is shut down, out of order or in bad condition. The staff was very friendly! They made our experience better, but feel it is overall overpriced. We wouldn’t go back unless the prices went down. We paid almost $75 for our family.

Keziah Batten 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: We spent hours here. We had teenagers all the way down to babies in our group and all of them were entertained. Worth it for the expensive cost.

Rebecca Oliphant 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: Super cute! My 8 and 10 yr old had a good time. Half day was perfect! Lots to see and loved the sting ray experience

Erika M. 6 months ago

Positive experience: It was very fun. However, I felt it was meant for kids younger than me. The boat play place was interesting, we couldn't get my brother to leave, but it was kind of small. So it might be beneficial for them to expand the boat play place. The 9/11 fact boards out front were cool. I like the timeline of events.

Fantastic experience: Kids really enjoyed visiting here. The 3D show was actually not boring for adults!

justin asher 6 months ago

Positive experience: Fun place and cool animals. But they need to fix alot of the broken hands on stuff for the kids. Most everything hands on was broken or malfunctioning. With the cost of admission put it into fixing broken stuff 2nd time visitor and my guests call it the aquarium with all the broken kids stuff.

Miley Rodriguez 6 months ago

Negative experience: We were really looking forward to visiting IMAG in Ft. Myers, and while the staff was super nice, I have to be honest—over half of the activities for kids were broken. I’m not exaggerating. I don’t mind paying to take my toddler somewhere new, but $80 for two hours of barely anything to do just isn't worth it. It's frustrating to see so many exhibits out of order, especially when you're charging full price. The only highlight of our visit was getting to pet Lucas. IMAG has a lot of potential, but they really need to maintain and fix the exhibits before charging families these prices.

Fantastic experience: Nice for young kids, the exibhits are engaging and the touch tank is a bonus. Lots of pretty fish too. Nice outdoor area. Free parking.

Angel Gamero 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: A lot of interesting things for kids ages 2 to 15, that’s a good thing everyone

Phil Vania 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Lots of hands-on exhibits for the kids and adults to learn. Live rays, turtles, tortoise and other exotic creatures. A live science experiments with hot and cold things was fun for all. We visited on a half price community day so it was worth it.

Janine Seibert 7 months ago

Positive experience: Disappointed in the amount of money we paid for our tickets to discover a few events you have pay for again. If you charge for some of the experiences, the tickets should be much cheaper. Also, some of the exhibits were not working with "out of order" signs. We have attended similar venues in Kansas City and Chicago that were much cleaner, nicer and larger for less $$$.

Lisa Thorsen 7 months ago

Positive experience: Very small museum. Says it’s hands on but wastes over half of its space with non-hands on exhibits. One half of the museum is an aquarium. The other half is a play area which was nice but also, small. There is a theater where they have movies but it’s not your typical dome IMAX. Given this, I feel the price should not be more than $10/person but it’s closer to $20.

Fantastic experience: We celebrated our daughters birthday party there! The kids had a lot of fun at the center exploring especially touching the sting rays. Emily was our host and did an amazing job in making sure the party went smoothly and was awesome with all the experiments. The kids were in awe! Great place to have a science themed birthday party!

Kameron Spruiel 8 months ago

Fantastic experience: It was a lovely small science center i definitely recommend this place for anyone that has even a slight inkling to want to explore the world around them in depth you won't regret taking a walk around the facility seeing the animals and even touching the stingrays

Kathryn Hutter 8 months ago

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. They have a lot of experiences and learning activities for children. We went just adults and had a great time. Without watching the shows, I’d recommend setting aside 1.5 hours to take everything in. Not a huge place but cool display collections and animals.

Keri Petersen 8 months ago

Positive experience: It was OK.. went with kids 12, 9, 7, 5. Felt a little run down/dirty. Enjoyed the outdoor area.

Toni Thompson 8 months ago

Positive experience: This history and science center offers a variety of science experiences and a great look at Florida history of the Seminole Indians. Some of the exhibits are not working, including one of the Virtual Reality headsets. I enjoyed the sting ray tank, that was not crowded. The tortoises are awesome to see up close, with tortoises from North Africa and South America. The outdoor exhibits highlight the Okefenokee Swamp and Florida flora. Prior to the entry, prior to paying, the tribute to the 911 event at the World Trade Center in NYC includes a huge chunk of the original World Trade Center is worth a visit. Picnic tables available. The cafe is not open at this time. Reasonably priced gift shop items that are all fun science toys and stuffed animals. The price is slightly high considering that several exhibits are not working.Annual memberships available. Wheel chair access van free parking. Touch pad accessible entry. All wheel chair access on lower level. Strollers and wheel chairs available during your visit. Wheel chair accessible womens and mens restrooms with hands free hand wash.

Positive experience: The place is fun, we joined a birthday party it was handled pretty well. The place needs some work, if all the attractions worked it would make this place much better. Maybe a tour from the birthday party hosts would help ensure that the party kids get the full experience.

Fantastic experience: I've been there a long time ago it is a very good museum to have fun to learn

McKie Rich 9 months ago

Positive experience: Free parking. Wheelchair accessible. They have a very small luncheon station where you can buy, fries, sandwiches, popcorn pop etc. Outside they have a memorial for 9/11. As you enter the building there is a shop for merchandise and novelty items. Also on the main level is pool with Ray Sharks that you can pet and live presentations throughout the day. There is a tribute to the World Wars and Naples contribution, along with the First Nations Indigenous Peoples. Outdoors they have a theatre that plays movies every 40 minutes. Outdoors they also have turtles. Stairs will take you to the upper level which is dedicated to Space and a short live presentation. Some of the interactive games and modules were not working. The place looked slightly run town. Staff seems uninterested in their jobs. Food was mediocre. In the theatre they provided 3D glasses and a disinfectant for patrons to reuse/ re-wear. I thought this was extremely unhygienic. Overall I wish there was more to see at the centre.

Theresa Hover 9 months ago

Positive experience: It's a mediocre science center. The only cool exhibit is the sting rays. The aquariums are not well maintained, very few fish. Outdoor pond is murky. The hands on ball run and building area will keep kids busy for a few minutes but it's a pretty worn/run down area. They have a lot of space for more exhibits but they aren't utilizing it. Not sure it was worth the cost of admission.

Fort Myers Reviews 10 months ago

Positive experience: We had a wonderful time here with our family. There's a variety of things to see and learn! The children particularly enjoyed the ball run on the building's ceiling; it was quite entertaining. We also adored the American History room, the VR game, the shows, and all the other offerings. However, I would not recommend the food. When I ordered chicken tenders, I discovered a small human hair baked into one of them. There were a couple of women in the kitchen, and it seemed that neither was wearing a hairnet. I hope this issue is addressed soon, as finding hair in food is disgusting. In conclusion, for a fun family experience, I would definitely recommend taking time out of your day! It makes sense that their food isn't the best, since they are a museum. If not for the food, this place would deserve ABOVE 5 stars.

Jean Noel 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: This is a great space to learn and have fun. I visited here because of a child's birthday party that was being hosted here, and the children had a blast! Staff was very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely visit again!

Fantastic experience: We visited on April 18th, 2024. (I'm just bad about writing reviews on time) This was honestly a wonderful little science center! We have one back where we're originally from that has somewhat closed down so it was really neat to take mine and my boyfriend's kids here! It was very empty. We saw some school groups leaving while there. Not many people visit I'm guessing. It's actually a nice hidden gem. It's a little outdated, but I imagine it's due to not having the funding to keep up the center. They had a little sting ray petting area, they had dino fossils, history of Florida and the Everglades, the way water moves by using it as a power, space and a giant display of a moon you can touch and change. it was pretty much everything you'd want out of the visit! I would absolutely visit again! Even if it's not changed much from our last visit, I would go to support their center! I would recommend it for a fun little day out for a kid. Our son was 2 and he loved seeing the science part of it all! Maybe with more revenue, they'll be able to do some renovations to it. But otherwise, it is a nice place to visit!

Negative experience: 0/10 waste of money. Takes 5 mins to walk through admission covered nothing so you have to pay extra then the car readers don’t work. So disappointing waste of money would not recommend

Luis A 1 year ago

Negative experience: It is very small I recommend it for small kids and a 1 time visit only not much to do. The one thing I liked was the theater they have about 4 different shows.

valerie ceracche 1 year ago

Negative experience: I am second year year pass holder i still love this place but compared to other area science centers its a bit run down and has som non working exhibits but they seem to be making improvements every time I visit. I am excited to see what is to come!...edit to add...it's now been 7 years since my review...and it's quite unfortunate that there has not been much if any work done to improve the museum. It is still full of broken exhibits and new ones that cost extra. We still go often to support it because it's the only science center for a hundred miles and any opportunity to learn is important for my family.

Jenny Tardiff 1 year ago

Positive experience: Great family day. Kids loved the animals and of course all the hands on activities. We are looking forward to coming back when the outside is finished being remodeled. Special thanks to the FMB Community Foundation for the tickets!

David Wells 1 year ago

Negative experience: Admission fee is high for what it was $40 for 2 adults. Kind of run down. No real flow to the place. They don't have maps available, only a QR code to scan to see an online map, which isn't convenient for me. We saw a science experiment show, which was pretty cool. Also, we saw a presentation on a sphere about different celestial bodies in our solar system that was given by a very nice knowledgeable lady. Cute museum overall but not worth $20 per adult.

Jessica Sandoval 1 year ago

Negative experience: This place is so run down and admission should be lowered significantly. $84 for 5 of us.... and my kids wanted to leave after 5 mins of seeing how run down it was. Honestly I was debating between here or sun splash for the day...and for a $10 difference Sun Splash would've been a better day activity. This place would be great if more money and effort was put into it.

Jessica Watson 1 year ago

Negative experience: Very overpriced and kind of dated. No senior citizen discount, no state employee discount, and adults have to pay 20$ each to watch the kids play. The admission doesn’t cover the cost of the dinosaur VR, the hurricane simulator, the little Photo Booth, nor the stones for the gem mining. Admission for 4 was over $60 already and probably the coolest thing was the little aquarium area. I wouldn’t recommend personally.

J MJR 1 year ago

Positive experience: Decent day activity place for my toddler. Little disappointed with the see and touch stingray section - there were only two big stingrays and the tank is too deep for a toddler to touch - also because there aren’t many stingrays in the big tank, they don’t really swim around the edges - so my toddler couldn’t touch any. Denver aqautium stingray was the best experience for my toddler so far. There was free lunch for kids the day we visited - staff were really friendly.

Victoria Johnston 1 year ago

Negative experience: What a HUGE disappointment! I certainly understand how after going through hurricane Ian, things may be down and nonfunctional for quite a while. However, it has been nearly two years and there are multiple areas that are still not working. Unfortunately, there is no warning about that on the website It's still advertises all of the exhibits and interactive areas as if they're all working. The Google wall would not load any of the experiences, the water land topography display did not work, the nanoparticle interactive area did not, etc. Etc. The one thing that did work was the hurricane demo but that charged $3 for 30 seconds of 80 mile / hr wind. I was so excited to bring my 9 year old grandson who is visiting for the first time to Imaginarium as he is so into engineering and inventions and science. It is such a shame. Someone there should visit MOSI in Tampa to see how it's done right.

Tj Toast 1 year ago

Positive experience: They need to invest in the repair of many of the exhibits. It is good for kids 3 and up.

Leah Stevens 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I took my 1 yo, she loved the fish and reptiles. She was too young for a majority of the exhibits but we’re looking forward to taking her back when she’s a bit older. There’s lot of interactive stuff for kids here. Looked like a lot of engaging fun!

susan mesa 1 year ago

Positive experience: My 11 year old granddaughter wanted to go It was pretty interesting I felt that some exhibits were not functioning or broken. Does have interesting history and information for kids

Melissa Howard 1 year ago

Negative experience: At IMAG with my nieces and nephews for the first time. This place is rundown and tired, many of the exhibits are broken or just do not operate. Even the simple paper airplane exhibit was out of paper airplanes and it’s 11 AM on a Saturday. Total waste of money and time to get here.

Beth Yoder 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately there was a tropical storm during our vacation to Florida so we took the kids to history and science center. The kids loved it and there was plenty to do. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see much outside due to rain. But it slowed down for about 20 min for us to go wander the garden and see the tortoise. It wasn’t ridiculously expensive. if you’re looking for somewhere to take your kids out of the weather check this place out.

Matthew Wolfe 1 year ago

Negative experience: This place would be awesome, but half their stuff is broken. And when we tried to talk to them about it, the horriblely rude lady at the front desk said "well you should have let us know before you came in". Charged us full price for half the exhibits

Suzann Stamps 1 year ago

Positive experience: I give this museum a 5 for concept and a 3 for execution. We took our three year old grandson and he loved the interactive STEM activities and the animal displays. Sadly, the museum desperately needs docents to monitor and facilitate the activities. I only saw two employees the entire time we were there, one at admission and one outside. When we were in the interactive area a child was throwing the billiard balls used in the kinetic activities. Very dangerous! The facility also needs an update and a good cleaning. The glass on the animal tanks was dirty inside and out. I say take your preschool and elementary kids for a fun time and bring your hand sanitizer, too.

Shelly Knight 1 year ago

Positive experience: Visited today. Purchased 3 adult priced tickets. Although tickets are reasonably priced, we were overall disappointed. About half of the kids experiments seemed to be broken or not working. The animal and/or aquarium areas needed cleaning or maintenance very badly. Would give 3 stars at best.

Kristen Pukin 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great place for birthday party! They do everything & all I was responsible for was the cake. We chose the “science” theme & the kids were led in a few experiments. The room decor was cute. The pizza & lemonade were great. The staff was AMAZING. They had our 2 hours scheduled out perfectly. All of the guests enjoyed their experience at the IMAG. I highly recommend hosting your child’s birthday here.

Sid Roussell 1 year ago

Negative experience: A shell of what was likely a great place to bring kids to learn at some point in time. In the interactive area where the kids interact with balls to see how the engineering would take the ball only 1 was available. The google earth display would not load any of the experiences. The interactive sphere was hit and miss as to if it would work. Luckily the little water exhibit with the boats worked so she could actually play with one exhibit. The sand topography exhibit also worked. But largely this was a Waste of $54 for a family of 3. Very disappointed as our daughter was very excited to come explore .

Meredith Naber 1 year ago

Negative experience: Has the potential to be something really cool. It was quite pricey for the experience involved. Tried 3 different hand sanitizers that were all empty, a lot of the technology related exhibits were not working. Was not worth the $19.50 we paid per person, no senior citizen discount either.

Simone Davis 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very cool place for kids. Some very interesting things to learn and do. The Google Earth is very cool. Animal show is very educational. Totally recommend this place for a family outing.

Gabriella Steele 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: The IMAG is a wonderful little museum with something for every science lover. They cover a variety of fields including outer space, physics, paleontology, Florida history, marine science, and biology. The stingray touch tank and feeding were the highlight for me. There were also several fascinating demonstrations, including planetary trivia/education and hissing roach petting. As some other reviews have stated, there are some interactive exhibits that are out of order as they make renovations. But it really didn’t take anything away from the experience since there was so much else to see. The staff were passionate and truly delightful to converse with. They take great care of their animals! For instance, they make sure to feed the animals varied diets, safely trim the barbs on the stingrays rather than surgically removing them, and provide ample shelter for the reptiles, amphibians, and fish alike. You know it’s a good enclosure when the animal’s whole body isn’t out in the open, but rather resting peacefully in shelter. Don’t worry, you can still see plenty of them! We stayed for several hours and had a great time. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: I've been taking my kids here for years. This place has gone down hill. Firstly: grab food ahead of time, almost $50 for a salad, sandwich, grilled cheese and chicken tenders. The tenders were way UNDERCOOKED, the "ceaser" salad was NOT a ceaser salad, it was all Limon. The chips ($2) were the little tiny bags that are 2 for .99 at grocery store. HORRID. In addition, the "gentleman " said 10 minutes, 30 minutes later we got our food, after my husband asked at min 20 and was rudely told, "I'll let you know when it's ready". We can't go anywhere but watch the people eat that ordered AFTER US, until it's done. Secondly: many things were out of order, run down and appeared needing attention. Third: they have added a bunch of extra fee things, of course the main attractions and funnest things cost more. I use to love this place, but probably won't be back after this experience.

Tom Burton 1 year ago

Positive experience: Took my 89 year old cousin and had a great time, stroked the stingrays, made paper airplanes, saw and stroked the baby alligator, did an artificial reality with headset on the beginning of Fort Myers. Cafe cook was very nice, but god knows how they’d cope if more than two people wanted something to eat.

Kate Johnson 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great place to take the kids, a lot of hands-on stuff for them to do. Also, they have science shows, 3-d science movies, "meet the keeper" with the baby alligators, and more. It was an all day experience

Zoie Lefay 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: My toddler had an absolute blast! He's a curious kid and loved the water tank! Not horribly priced and worth it for the adventure and joy on his eyes. He loved the water table!!

Trista Lucore 1 year ago

Negative experience: We went today. This place probably used to be wonderful. It is very run down. Many things were broken. The hands on space is a great concept but an employee should be in there. The outside space is very rundown. Not worth the money we paid for a family of 5.

Char Donnay 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: My son absolutely loves this place! The lady doing the science experiment show did an amazing job! We got to pet a snake and the stingrays. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Fun virtual reality they have at certain times throughout the day.

Lisa R 1 year ago

Positive experience: It’s alright. Has a lot of potential. A lot of the exhibits are not in working order. A lot are run down, worn out, in disrepair. There isn’t much for very young children to do. I feel badly for stingrays who are meant to be pet. I feel as though an effort to cultivate live coral in the fish area should be made. There is a lot of room for improvement here.

Ayy Its Risch 1 year ago

Negative experience: Spent $85 to take my kids here for Spring Break. Over HALF of the exhibits were “broken” and out of service, a good portion of exhibits were missing parts making them useless, and animals were missing from their exhibits. We were there for all of 20(ish) minutes and my children all agreed they were no longer interested. I questioned about getting a refund and I was told “there’s nothing we can do.” What a joke! I advise you call ahead and verify what all IS and IS NOT working/available to view. **FOR REFERENCE - GOOGLE REVIEW ONLY ALLOWS ME TO ADD THREE IMAGES**

Fantastic experience: Small gem of a museum. We visited with 2 kids aged 10 and 12 and 4 adults. The center had the kids attention for a solid 3+ hours, we could have stayed longer but we were rushed on time. It had enough for the adults to keep engaged but definitely geared at kids. The touch tank for the stingrays was great, they had a reptile/aquarium section and several live shows, one with animals. We didn't stay for the movies. Outdoors I wish they had a bigger water play table, as it was quite busy with little ones but was still a great thing for the older kids. Their main area had a ton of hands on activities which the kids enjoyed. On a busy day I could see how it might be difficult to enjoy the center, but on a weekday it gave us a perfect escape from the heat during our vacation.

Chris Cubbison 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Amazing variety of things to see and do for adults and children of any age. Food available on site. Theater, planetarium, touch tank with skates and rays and both indoor and outdoor activities. We always take our visitors there.

Troy “WhizKid” Beck 1 year ago

Negative experience: Overly crowded and not worth the money on a day where we weren’t able to do much since there were too many people. Should limit the number of tickets per day to make the experience better, but that would mean less profits…

Arlene Sofranko 1 year ago

Negative experience: Would never return. Very disappointed in this center. The live stingray tank had 1 baby stingray and a box crab. That's it! Some of the interactive displays did not work. The aquarium side was nice.but limited since it was roped off for cleaning. The rest rooms were filthy!! We will NEVER RETURN to this center.

Fantastic experience: Great place for kids to learn about weather, animals, scoence...etc. As Adults we enjoyed it too. Fun place to go...you might have to eat before or after since there is no warm food available.

Jordan Cassens 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Waste of money!! Don’t go, most of the stuff is broken and/or missing things. They charge you almost $20 a person for adults. There are 4 sections to this tiny building. When you walk in you have a big touch tank with 2 sting rays and another thing I have no ide what it was. (Sorry). To the left you have a large fish tank and surrounded by 20little tanks with reptiles in them. To the right of the touch tank you have a open room with a few “activities” in it and like 4 animal bones. Everything feels dirty. 2 of the displays are broken. Then they have a second floor that has weather things in it but there are only 3 things up there and you have to pay additional money in order to play with 2 of them. On the first floor again you walk past the tank and walk out the back door they have 1 water play thing for kids. To the right of that there is another one that is like a “fossil search” with no fossils. And then there is a “garden” that runs along the side of the building. I suppose it’s fine for small children 6 and under.. only because they get entertained just going up and down the stairs. But for 20$ def not worth it. If the price was lower then I wouldn’t be as upset. I paid almost the same price for an actual kids museum in Fort Lauderdale that had 3 floors, almost triple the size and lots of things for the kids. We are just disappointed in the quality and prices.

Meredith Lippert 1 year ago

Positive experience: Some exhibits pretty wore or broken. Touch tank for rays was best part.

Matt McDonald 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Fun place for the kids and adults. Lots to learn and see and very hands on. Spent lots of time in the theater as they have many different showings both normal and some in 3D. Hands on aquarium right inside the entrance was pretty cool for us since we live in a landlocked state. Many things to learn about ocean life. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went with grandkids aged 2 & 5. They both had great fun with the older one able to get quite a lot out of the exhibits. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Admission fees not worth the visit. Overrated! $19.50 for adults, over 2 year old is $15. Better off visiting other museums at reasonable lower price Several inter actives not working. Animal shows wasn’t worth attending. They don’t give a receipt for credit charges because they don’t have a printer. Wants your email to send receipt.

Negative experience: I'm very disappointed. Multiple exhibits were not functional or not open. What was open was very limited, not a very large facility. Multiple areas were just in absolute dissarray. We drove 40 minutes to get here, and we spent maybe 30 minutes to do everything. Their snack house was very overpriced. For 3 "chicken fingers" cost $8. There is outdoor covered seating to eat, but due to rain, they weren't wiping anything down, so it was just sitting on the floor in a hallway to eat. The tickets are $15 a person, no matter the age, shouldn't be over $10 with how little there is to do. Would not recommend...

Fantastic experience: Cute little “museum” with lots of play options for kids of all ages. It’s a bit older and some items were damaged and unusable but we still spent 4+ hours there and had a great time. The staff was great very friendly and welcoming. The animal show was fun and gave the opportunity to get up close and personal with some cute critters.

Positive experience: A girlscout excursion, we made the best of our time and enjoyed the many exhibitions open.

Positive experience: It was interesting. Very small however - not many exhibits. I paid $10.00 to get in because the movies weren’t running and the touch tank was not installed. Normal price is $19.50.

Fantastic experience: Unlike some reviews I found this place so fascinating and plenty of things for my six year old to do! Interesting Ft. Myers history, artifacts, reptile and sea exhibits, a science presentation and movies played in the big theater. My daughter was too frightened of the dinosaur movie as well other children so we left early. We spent 2.5 hours here before we had to leave for the airport...a must see in the area!

Fantastic experience: More geared towards children, but they have a beautiful outdoor area. We enjoyed our time visiting.

Positive experience: Great for smaller kiddos! Not a huge place which makes it not overwhelming and easy to navigate everything easily. Be sure to keep an eye on your watch and visit the sea to see for the littles to pet a starfish and stingray. The small aquarium is amazing and a good quiet spot for a calm down spot. **We have a membership to another large museum and we were able to enter for free!

Fantastic experience: A delightful little museum, I've been there a couple times now. It's about $20 for adults although they do have some discounted rates for EBT card holders. It's not a very big museum and most of what's displayed can all be seen in about 2 hours. They have some great hands on exhibits that kids will love. Super friendly staff. Honestly kids or no kids it's not a bad way to spend a couple hours on a hot SWFL day.

Negative experience: It was just alright. Very small compared to the one in St Louis that is free.

Positive experience: This is an educational experience for kids and a great way to spend a rainy day. Some of the interactive exhibits were not in working order. We loved the baby alligator and sting ray presentations.

Positive experience: The concept is great, Fun & educational at the same time. I just wish there was more to do for the kids. The place is relatively small and while there is one section that contributes hands on activities, the remainder of the facility unfortunately doesn't entirely. Would love to see some upgrades and this place would be gold. It is a bit pricey though.

Positive experience: It was a cute place for young kids, but I don't think it was worth the money. There was nothing to do outside. The aquarium and small animal room was nice to walk through for maybe 10 minutes. Otherwise, the interactive room provides 30 minutes of entertainment. It is definitely not what it used to be.

Negative experience: When we arrived and got ready to pay we were surprised. We checked google and it quoted a much lower price than we saw. We came all the way from Marco and was not terribly impressed. Lots of sections were roped off and it looked like the museum was worn down quite a bit. In need of some cleaning and updating. We were so excited to go and see the science section and engineering section. Very disappointed. Need to update quite a bit. The Golisano museum offers so much more for the same price and is kept up and very clean. Sorry we won’t be back. There are so many museums to visit.

Fantastic experience: Fun place to explore with the kids. Summer is a little bare right now, but later in the fall/winter, they should have some temporary exhibits to engage with. Most recently, they had a King Tut exhibit, which was phenomenal!!

Positive experience: My son goes to summer and winter camp there. He loves it and so do I. However, the workers like to correct your kid in front of all other kids and parents during pick up. Some things should be handled in private or with parent directly. Not with a crowd.

Fantastic experience: Had a nice time at the IMAG and thought the price was decent. They seem to be constructing a new area on the first floor so might return to see what they did there. I thought the interactive globe on the second floor was fun to look at. The animals seem well cared for and the ship in their big tank was really cool to look at.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the IMAG History & Science Center in Fort Myers, Florida and I was blown away by the amazing exhibits and interactive displays! The center is a perfect combination of history and science, providing visitors with an educational and entertaining experience. One of the highlights for me was the interactive hurricane exhibit, where I got to experience what it's like to be in the eye of a hurricane. It was a thrilling and unforgettable experience! The center also has a fantastic selection of exhibits on local history, including the history of the Calusa Indians and the early settlers of the area. It was fascinating to learn about the rich history of Southwest Florida and how it has influenced the development of the region. The science exhibits were equally impressive, with hands-on displays that allowed me to explore and learn about everything from physics to biology. I especially enjoyed the virtual reality exhibit, where I got to experience immersive simulations of different environments and situations. The staff at the IMAG History & Science Center were also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making my visit even more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the IMAG History & Science Center. It's a great place to learn, explore, and have fun for people of all ages. Whether you're a history buff or a science enthusiast, there's something for everyone at this amazing center!

Negative experience: I didn't feel like it was worth almost $20 a person. The touch tank while I know is not a guaranteed experience was very lacking. Several of the exhibits were either not functional or broken but somewhat functional. I can't knock the outside exhibit because I assume it was inaccessible due to hurricane damage.

Positive experience: Took our 13 yo granddaughter and had a good time. Enjoyed the hands-on exhibits. Sting rays were cool!! Interesting for all of us.

Negative experience: $54 for nothing, they even gave us a map of all the closed stuff without telling us. Everything is closed for renovations. They say no refunds on admission even though there’s next to nothing. The lady at the front was doing a fake customer service voice and didn’t apologize for nothing being open. Worst 54 ever spent, I would only pay $10 for that place... If I wanted a touch tank and 10 animals to look at I’d go to the zoo. Skip this joke. Was good 20 years ago.

Negative experience: I am terribly disappointed. I used to live here as a child and would visit this place almost weekly and loved and adored it. Some of my most treasured memories were there as a kid. We were here this week on vacation and I told my husband our 7 year old would have a blast. $54 for the 3 of us and there is absolutely nothing there. She gave us a map of the place when you can see the whole thing in your eyesight. Please don’t waste your money or your time. She said no refunds but I’m disputing with my bank. I’m refusing to pay for something that sucked. If you want to charge that much, put better stuff in there.

Fantastic experience: We needed somewhere to kill time in between checking out of our hotel and heading to the airport for our evening flight. We took our 2.5 year old here and we all had a great time! There was a lot to keep her entertained. She really liked seeing different animals and fish, and the hands on activity area.
