The Aquarium at Silverton Casino

Fantastic experience: This is a beautiful aquarium with a lot of really cool marine life and even mermaid shows. There are many different types of fish ranging from small, colorful fish to baby sharks to massive stingrays. Best part? It’s free of charge. Of course, the only downside to this is that it’s extremely crowded but hey, you get what you pay for. Parking is somewhat difficult and rather expensive but of course that’s expected if you’re in the Vegas area. Nevertheless, this is one of the coolest places I have been to during my time here in Vegas and if you’re in the area you should definitely check it out. Interestingly they have a bass pro shops right next to the aquarium and there’s even a waterfall with a koi fish pond at the bottom in front of the store. And of course, it’s right there in the middle of a casino so you can check that out as well.

Positive experience: I visited the casino, as well as the Bass Pro Shop next door, to have something in exchange for your money is a better experience for me, that's why I would rather shop than leave it to luck.

Positive experience: Never even heard of the casino. It was right across the parking lot from my hotel. The casino is clean and the aquarium is cool to watch, fish are a trip....

Fantastic experience: The aquarium was very nice. There were a variety of fish, sharks, and manta rays. The mermaids did a wonderful job interacting with children and was very graceful while swimming. The viewing area had plenty of standing and sitting areas. The chairs were very comfortable and some even had a mermaid tail on the back of the chair. Additionally, Bass Pro Shop is right by it, connected to the Silverton so you can check it out, too.

Fantastic experience: Honestly great place to go with kids or anybody that wants a fun place to go for a free air conditioned break in Vegas. The mermaid show I think is every 30 mins from the time it says online. It's a 15 mins mermaid show and is pretty cool. She blows air bubbles hearts and halos and the kids absolutely love it. Added bonus, Bass pro shop is right next door (literally like 10 ft) and they are huge with lots of taxidermied animals that are also great for kids.

Positive experience: Machines are " Hungry " (nothing new ).. the Aquarium is really cool ... The restaurant that serves the 10.99 steak and eggs ( forgot the name) is great !!

Fantastic experience: All of the kids in my family (young and old) love coming to this place! I bring everyone here! The aquarium is beautiful and if you catch the mermaids it’s even better. We love to walk through the Bass Pro Shop here too. If it’s cooler, the outside area is nice with fire pits and seating. Great place to hang out for free! Parent g is free too! I can’t really comment on the casino itself, I’ve never won anything there.

Positive experience: Went to see the mermaid show. When we arrived we had no idea where to go. Had to ask where the show was. After an hour wait, we were able to see 1 mermaid & a diver. Don't know if that was the show. Was not what we expected. Btw, the location to see the mermaid show is inside at the entrance of Bass Pro shop.

Fantastic experience: Had dinner at Mi Casa Grill Cantina inside the Silverton Casino—everything was on point! We ordered the California burrito and the chili verde, and both were excellent. Chips and salsa were tasty, and we asked for the extra spicy salsa—so good! ️ The margaritas were fantastic, and the service was super friendly. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: First of all, the Silverton Casino is well worth the visit. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a beautiful mesmerizing large aquarium. I could sit and watch this aquarium all day! Which is right next to the Bass Pro Shop. This is a must see site!!!

Fantastic experience: We initially came for the $1 and $2 HAPPY Hour specials for Teachers, Veterans, and First Responders (check out their website for details!!!) but ended up falling in love with the Mermaid show. The Jellyfish Bar was totally our vibe. Chill, BEAUTIFUL decor, friendly staff, and underwater entertainment that brought us back 3 afternoons in a row. This will forever be a stop when we are in town!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful layout and always a highlight when I get to enjoy some quiet time watching the fish swim around. Sadly we went on one of the only days, the Mermaids aren't on duty. Which was my hidden motive for this visit. Took a friend, to surprise her and cheer her up from a rough week. Bummer about the Mermaids, but she fell in love with a tiny version of "Gill" from "Finding Nemo". So I still say, it was, Mission Accomplished! Thanks for the memories, Dick's Sporting goods!

Fantastic experience: Came to the aquarium and showed up right in time to see the Sting Rays get fed. Waited another few minutes and got to see the mermaid show. For it being free, it was pretty good and definitely gave us something to burn some time.

Positive experience: Nice sized circular aquarium with seating so you can relax and watch the fish swim by. There is a smaller window inside a faux cave-like entrance too. They have mermaid shows and feedings as well.

Fantastic experience: An attraction on its own, and its a must-see in Las Vegas! Mermaids are performing amazing shows with fish, stingrays and other inhabitants of the aquarium. Actually came to the Silverton just to see this but stayed for some casino fun and it was great. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: A very neat big aquarium right at the front entrance between the casino and the Cabelas. The fish all looked healthy and happy. There was a fun mix of schooling and non schooling fish. Whoever put the tank together also made sure to have fish that like to hang out at different levels so the entire tank is lively. We were there near easter and they had big easter eggs hidden around inside the tank. It was some sort of scavenger hunt for kids. I don't know what the official smoking policy here is, but I didn't smell anything which is an added bonus and makes it a good choice to bring kids to see.

Negative experience: A horrible thing to do to a woman, putting a shark in the tank. The sensationalism greatly ruined her life,( if she's still alive) her looks, & crowded attendance. I will never go there again.

Fantastic experience: My son, Russell absolutely loved his visit to the aquarium! Although we didn't see the mermaid, he still was so fascinated by the colorful fishes. They were so many different types of fish. I guess there was one fish that he was glued to as he kept staring at it. Definitely a great to check while you are at the Silverton!

Fantastic experience: Nice aquarium. Free. In a clean casino. We were nearby so swung over. Not sure i would have gone otherwise. We gambled a bit and shopped in Bass Pro shop which is attached to Silverton. Lots of free parking in garage.

Positive experience: Nice place to relax with a beverage. The bar right at Mermaids wasn't being staffed so we had to go fetch a drink from another bar and bring it over, so missing 1 star for no table service.

Negative experience: Smoky ass Vegas casino. They give you a free drink token at check in but the cocktail waitress is trying to serve 40 people single handed and hated bringing a free drink.

Fantastic experience: free mermaid show every half hour near entrance of casino. adjoining the Bass Pro Shop entrance. also do a stingray feeding. the mermaid draws hearts ❤️ with bubbles and interacts and waves with the children watching the show. definitely recommend for children if looking for activities in Las Vegas for children

Negative experience: Place is crap been throughout the country many casinos this is at the bottom for payouts.. all day there I never seen one big payout if I go to a casino in Oklahoma you see it quite often with that many people playing! This place is not paying out even the lowest percentage

Fantastic experience: This is a small aquarium that features sting rays, sharks, and yes. mermaids! It's free to watch. Great attraction that's fun for the whole family. Just an fyi, don't expect to always see a mermaid in the water because they do have different show times. There's also a Mermaid Cove Art Gallery by Cormier at the site. You can access it by walking around to the backside of the fish tank.

Fantastic experience: One of the "free things" for you and the kids in Vegas. Stocked with so many kings of sea creatures that you could watch all day. Plus, they have live mermaid shows!

Fantastic experience: Originally this place was called, "Boom Town". They had a dance floor with live music and it was a genuine Hoedown on the northside of the building where the Sundance Grill is now located. It's a Vegas classic, we'll worth the visit to another Vegas locals spot. Go during business hours to also enjoy Bass Pro Shop.

I've heard of this Aquarium for a while now, but never thought of checking it out till recently. I was in awe to see so many vertebrate fishes and a few cartilaginous fishes. Be on the lookout for the mermaids and the Aquarist!!

Fantastic experience: I went for the stingray feeding at 4:30 pm and it was so worth it. They were so cute, crowding and bonking the diver asking for more food. The pufferfish and others would try to steal scraps from the baskets and fight amongst themselves for food as well. It was a great time. It’s free because the “aquarium” is just 1 big tank at the entrance of the hotel.

Fantastic experience: This aquarium is huge and it is very impressive. Well worth stopping in to see it if you're in the area and if you're going to be at the Silverton casino where the Bass pro shops anyhow, then you definitely have to take time to go see the aquarium. I don't know if it still happens but they used to have women in the tank dressed up like mermaids which was quite entertaining for the kids. Whether they still do that or not, it's still a great aquarium to check out. This isn't like one of those giant aquarium of the Pacific ones where you're going to have multiple tanks and stuff. It's just one tank but still worth seeing. No admission charge or anything. Just walk into the lobby area in between the Silverton and the Bass pro shops and check it out.

Fantastic experience: We visited because my wife wanted to see the mermaids. Not only was it a fantastic experience, but they started earlier than expected and viewing the aquarium was free! I don't know why people are shying from aquarium, it's quite large and there are various tanks with fishes. The mermaids are skilled, fun and look great.

Fantastic experience: A great aquarium to see on your way out of or into Las Vegas by road. Easy to find, as soon as you walk through the door of the casino it's right in front of you. We were lucky enough to see the mini mermaid show too. I would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience: New in the area & came across this amazing gem while googling for an activity to do on a Saturday evening. So happy I found it. No reservation or fee required. Definitely a nice change from the strip. I thoroughly enjoyed myself because after viewing the show with mermaids & all the different fishes, I went next door to the Mermaid Lounge. My first visit but certainly not my last.

Positive experience: We miss the mermaid show. We drove all the way over but the hours were not accurate where we looked. Other than that we really enjoyed the fish tank Aryan my wife and I sat in front of it for over an hour
