Positive experience: The only issue is price. 1 adult and child over $40. 4 1/2 yr old enjoyed the experience. This has been the third time. Just take ur time.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful time at Electric City Aquarium & Reptile Den. Such a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Terrific, knowledgeable and friendly staff made it Such a pleasure. Special thanks to Keri, the sweet sales clerk in the gift shop. She was very helpful and so friendly, and thanks to her, my nephews absolutely loved the items she helped me find! I recommend this site to all!

Fantastic experience: **Awesome place for young toddlers or for you HS Teens and college student to take a date on a budget** For the kiddos or the kid in you the Electric City Aquarium is just enough. There are actually much more animals than expected and the walk thru is just enough to to be entertaining and fun (Teens and Students looking for a good date location without breaking the bank. Sunday was the day we made th drive up and it was zero wait, not crowded at all. And the food court upstairs jad a few places open I'm sure it's crazy Friday and Saturday.

Fantastic experience: It's so nice to have something like this here in Scranton. Children under 2 get in free too which was very nice! Don't expect Boston or Camden and you'll have a great time and it's only about $20 to get in.

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem definitely worth a stop. There were some mixed reviews about it but my family loved it. The touch pools were a big hit. They even had informal reptile shows put on multiple times during the day. Reasonably priced when you consider that they have to pay workers and take care of the animals. Everything was well maintained and the animals looked well taken care of.

Negative experience: Animals were super cute, they had a wide variety of different species and super educational plaques. I had a good time, but my low rating is largely due to the weak enclosures of some of the animals. Animals like alligators and large river fish were contained to small, bathroom sized enclosures. It seemed the smarter the animal, the smaller/barer the enclosure was (the monkeys, toucan, and cat stood out to me). Overall I had a pleasant experience but wish the price of admission went more towards the renovation or removal of certain species to accommodate a necessary sized enclosure.

Positive experience: There was a bit of a wait, but the line moves fast. A large variety of reptiles and sea life but in a smaller venue. There was even interactive areas.

Fantastic experience: Took my grandkids today aged 9 & 11. We had the most amazing time. The fish, reptiles and petting tanks are beautiful. The water is so clear. Happily surprised at how many varieties of aquatic life is there. It’s really a must see .

Positive experience: It is located inside the mall and was a bit smaller than I expected, but they pack a lot of exhibits in the space. You’ll see turtles, snakes, fish, lizards, and more. They even have a touch tank with stingrays. It only took us a little over an hour to go through, but there was a lot to see. Definitely glad we went!

Fantastic experience: This aquarium and zoo is so nice! My friend and I really enjoyed our visit. The animals seem well cared for, and the keepers were friendly and informative. Two highlights were getting to feed the stingrays and the educational presentation about the kinkajoo and Scarlett the cockatoo. Electric City is so much more affordable than most aquariums, and you get a more personal experience. We could ask questions, and I learned so much. There's a nice parking garage, and parking is free with validation. This place was lovely and we had a great time.

Fantastic experience: Very nice tightly packed aquarium with a rainforest area and reptile expo. 2 touch tanks available for the whole family. One is sting rays and the other has a variety of a few species like starfish and horseshoe crabs. There is a beautiful Tucan and a sloth. Lots to see and it can get a bit packed. They have feeding shows and an education room where tou can go see a show as well. Nice large gift shop with a crazy amount of stuff. Smashed penny machine. Restrooms in the middle of the exibit and in the gift shop. Once you buy a ticket you can leave and have lunch and come back. All in the same day. **bring your parking ticket and let them validate your parking so you dont have to pay to park**

Fantastic experience: We had a great time on Mother's Day. I like that Mother's were Free, but we got our tickets the week before and they gave us 2 tickets to come again. It was also my daughter's first Mother's Day ❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: This place has a touch tank for the kids however thats about all it has everything else is expensive and not worth it. If you blink you would walk right through this place. Not worth it in the slightest.

Positive experience: Great experience for children and adults. Well worth the money. It's not the national aquarium, but is educational. Plenty to see here.

Positive experience: I gave it a 3 its nice lots of different critters my issue is this the rainforest den....you realize the animals aren't in the dark all the time so do you keep them in the dark all the time so they're more active for visitors? That kinkajou is stressed out beyond belief. That poor cat terrified. Not the right environment for any of the rainforest critters.

Positive experience: Place was clean but dark.very much worth the admission fee. Took about 1.5 hrs to go thru. Large selection of fish, sharks, reptiles.

Fantastic experience: The Aquarium entrance is inside the mall. You park in the garage and they will validate your parking pass. Expect to spend approximately two hours at the Aquarium. There are many species of reptile and fish to view. The cost I thought was alittle bit too much. They also don't have a membership fee. You can purchase the tickets in the gift shop or at the entrance. I do recommend this Aquarium.

Fantastic experience: Not real big but it was really neat. Lots too look at and a chance to feed stingrays which was really cool. Also was able to touch a starfish and horseshoe crab. Can get crowded at times I feel.

Fantastic experience: I Took my daughter and we had a blast, we learned a lot about certain fish and animals and reptiles that we didn't know about. Great exhibit recommend any family to check it out especially being to feed some of the aquatic animals

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable and informative staff, they happily answered questions about the displays. Everything was well presented. We enjoyed the aquarium.. although small and a tad pricey, it was worth it. Very enjoyable.

Negative experience: Overpriced and not much to do. Although my daughter did sort of enjoy herself, just not worth the money. This is not worth $50(me and my child together). Lower those prices because there isn't much to do.

Positive experience: Even if you buy tickets in advance you still have to wait in line. Nothing spectacular to see here. Shark feeding is boring, no blood or visual stimulation. Good for a date night spot when it’s slow, maybe that’s it.

Fantastic experience: We visited the aquarium today. We were shocked at how well this small aquarium was presented. Beautiful displays, knowledgable staff, and informative programs were what we found. I recommend you visit this aquarium. It is hard to believe they have put so many displays in the area they have to use.

Positive experience: No outside signs for those traveling to it and parking wasn't great. Didn't know there was parking underneath mall or that it was in a mall. Other than that, very nice!

Fantastic experience: My family and I were planning a trip to nearby Mohegan and were looking for things to do nearby and we found this aquarium online. While we had been expecting a free standing location, it was actually in the mall itself. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and the aquarium is reasonably priced. We were very surprised and had a fantastic time with the exhibits, having a wide range of amphibians, reptiles, fish and all in between. There was lots of information about locales, the animals and conservation all through the aquarium. There was also an amazing Education Show where a super knowledgeable and friendly guide named Rich showed us 3 different animals, explained them to us and even gave us the opportunity to touch one. This was a fantastic trip and could not recommend it enough!

Negative experience: Not a bad little aquarium. A little pricy for what it is. As a single dad, my main criticism is there is no baby changing station in the mens room near the touch tanks. You basically have to leave the aquarium to find a baby changing station in a mens room. Very inconvenient, in a place like this, all restrooms should be family friendly.

Fantastic experience: I think this is a very good aquarium even though it's kind of on the small side. Plenty of exhibits whether you want to see something small like frogs,turtles,snakes or something big like sharks, rays and tons of saltwater fish.

Positive experience: This was an okay way to spend the afternoon with the kids. My only complaint is that my family of four 2 adults and 2 children was $80 and it’s definitely not worth that much. I understand the price reflects the money that is needed to maintain an aquarium but you could just go to PetZone in pittston and see similar exhibits for $5 downstairs or free in their pet store. Nothing at all wrong with this aquarium- they do have neat exhibits and it is a nice place, if you like this kind of thing a lot you should be happy.

Fantastic experience: For the price it's an excellent time with the kids. We visited Sunday late morning and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of different animals to see. There are feedings (that was crowded) and the gift shop was nice

Fantastic experience: My 3 year old daughter and myself went yesterday and had such a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Besides seeing all the different types of animals the best part was at certain times of the day you can feed the stingrays and also they have educational times where they bring animals out and tell you about them and even let you touch them. I recommend coming to this place.

Fantastic experience: An aquarium in a shopping center? How good could that be? We’ve been to several major American aquariums. What makes this venue different from others is the closeness to the exhibits and the very clear descriptions and explanations for each exhibit. Sometimes it took a little effort to find a reptile in the case but it was worth it! The staff was particularly enthusiastic and helpful throughout. And the live “show” was led by a great staff member and interactive in addition to the feedings and touch tank. Was definitely worth a few hours, and well worth the admission fee considering the acquisition and maintenance costs.

Fantastic experience: Visited the Aquarium this past Sunday. Kids had a very good time. I haven't been here since my initial visit in 2021. The place was very clean. They had nice exhibits especially the fish. They had a number of small animals which I was happy to see as well. Feeding the stingrays was nice. This zoo is located in Scranton Mall it's not huge but we'll maintained. I would visit again.

Fantastic experience: This is a fabulous place to visit! We took our 20 year old son this past weekend and we all had a great time. It's much larger than it looks from the outside. The Reptile Den is very impressive. My son is a lizard owner, and a budding herpetologist, and he was amazed at the variety of reptiles. Also, he thought they seemed very well cared for and their habitats were well appointed. The aquarium is very cool, with so many types of fish. The employees are all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Petting the Stingrays and Sea Stars was a highlight. The animal encounter show was terrific. So informative, and fun! We spent hours here. You can leave and re-enter with a handstamp. We found the price to be fair considering all the exhibits and activities. Don't be turned off cause the venue is in a mall. This is a must see; great for people of all ages!!

Positive experience: Fun to visit every now and then on a rainy day for something to do. I love getting to see the animals and fish friends! My only complaint is that the tickets are alot of $ for how small it is. The rest of the mall is dead so in my opinion, the WHOLE THING should be an aquarium!

Fantastic experience: We had a great time here. The location inside the mall was so impressive with the amount of animals you're able to see. It takes a good 2 hours or less depending on if you're just walking through. My child was able to experience the feel of a snail shell and starfish. This was a cool place overall.

Fantastic experience: We loved our visit so much! While it is located in a mall, that doesn't mean it wasn't a special place to visit. So many awesome animals to see in beautiful settings. It took about 1.5 hours to go through, making it good for children. It actually was a bonus it being in the mall because after our visit, the surrounding stores added to our experience (a cool model/antique shop, a retro game store, a cute animal ride for kids, etc.) Already planning to go again!

Positive experience: This was a great experience to take my children. The mall has some hidden gem food places upstairs. One truly concerning issue I have is the space for the crocodiles. Their enclosure is maybe the length of their bodies, if that. The Tuscan could use some more room to spread its wings. Can we please get a go fund me to raise money for this beautiful aquarium and its creatures. They deserve it.

Positive experience: It is a nice aquarium, and is very well-kept. It's a fun weekend activity and very educational. I do not like the idea of touch tanks, but they seem to have a system to make it safe. Plus, the rays seem to love the attention. Well worth the visit.

Negative experience: The facility was nice and the staff seemed committed. But I can't get over how small the enclosures were and how lacking in stimulation the animals are. It's cruel. I felt horrible for the toucan bird. A bird that's meant to fly with fellow birds trapped in a 6 x12 foot dark cage. The animals, even the little wild cat, were alone. They all looked depressed. It was heartbreaking. Other animal facilities in Scranton were closed for these reasons. I can't believe this place is open. The animals looked well fed, warm, and the cages were very clean. Nevertheless, there is so much more to life. It was like seeing a frog in a jar with a leaf and a stick.

Fantastic experience: This aquarium while in a mall was really amazing and much bigger than we thought it would be. I highly recommend visiting this aquarium with its unique variety of land and sea creatures.

Located INSIDE the Marketplace Mall, this small collection was absolutely perfect for an afternoon outing. The animals seemed very healthy and happy, no stink or trash about the place, and a very friendly interactive staff! They also offered to comp on parking in any of the nearby garages, so bring your ticket

Fantastic experience: Plenty of well designed small enclosures. Touch tanks nice size for little hands, and staff explained the species to our little people very well. Great parking with validation. The large fish tanks had lots of variety of sizes and movements to keep attention of little ones. More expensive entry than expected but they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: It was very nice. We were on a mini vacation from upstate New York to the Poconos. My granddaughter wanted to go to the aquarium. The only bad part because we are not from there was finding parking. Other than that it was great.

Fantastic experience: Pleasantly surprised. It's small but really nice. Well maintained. The touch tanks were fun. Took a 5 year old and almost 2 year old. Both loved it. Parking wasn't bad. There's street and garage available. You can take strollers inside.

Fantastic experience: For an aquarium that fits in a mall, this was very well done. They have created a space to learn, experience, or just observe some very unique animals. Either way, it's a highlight for downtown Scranton. I was honestly impressed with how well this was done for the space in a mall. It doesn't compare with the huge aquariums, but it's a bright spot in PA. There are several ways you can go at some points, causing some confusion, but it all leads back together anyway so you shouldn't miss anything.

Fantastic experience: We have been to so many aquariums, and this location by far has had the most variety of fish and snakes. The exhibits are so clean. And staff so friendly. This is located in the mall so you get free parking if you bring your ticket from the garage. We went on a week day and hardly anyone so it was very intimate and allowed you time to sit and enjoy. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I just went here, the aquarium is inside the steam town mall. I know that it is small my mom is older can’t walk a lot so it was perfect. I like that the animals are well kept and clean. It was nice on a hot day. I parked in one of the parking lots on Linden street, but there are several around the mall. Nice town.

Fantastic experience: We had such a good time here. I had mo idea it was so big! The exhibits were beautiful and clean, and there was so much to see. $45 dollars for 3 hours of entertainment is a great deal in my book. Highly recommended visiting no matter who you are. Everyone loves an aquarium!

Positive experience: I was just at this place, and some of their closures are so small for the animal. They have this big snapping turtle or whatever he is with moss on him in this tiny thing when he is so much bigger than that, not to mention the crocodile cage and the alligator cages are super small compared to the size of them…. this is sad. And the water monitor was moving around his cage with caution from it being so small to move around. but i have to say overall it was a good experience!

Fantastic experience: It's so nice to have an aquarium in our area. While it's a small aquarium, they have a great variety of fish, reptiles, amphibians, and some animals! It's a lot of fun walking around and seeing the different animals and the habitats that they put together for them. They also do a great job here with birthday parties du I recommend them for that as well!

Everything about this place was top notch. Special kudos to the staff here. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. The keepers and educators were beyond fantastic. They took time with the kids to answer questions and explain things. This was a a really wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: We had a lot of fun here when we attended the after hours wine tasting event in the mall afterhours. There were numerous businesses giving wine free tastings and all the stores were closed. The only one that we were able to check out was the Aquarium and its gift shop. We had so much fun checking out all of the fish, but especially the turtles. They had some great exhibits and it's worth checking out.

Fantastic experience: Although small it is a Decent aquarium, the have marine and land animal. They have a little bit of everything. It’s pretty neat and def worth the visit.

Positive experience: A fun and unique aquarium with some exhibits not seen other places. Kept very clean, allowing for some very up-close interactions. We typically spend 60-90 minutes to see it all.

Fantastic experience: This was a last minute trip but worth every penny. They have such a great selection of sea life, reptiles & mammals. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed the education class with the touch & feel segment as they showcased the different species. The entire family had a blast! We would definitely return if we were in the area. Added bonus was the clean bathrooms!

Positive experience: This is inside of a mall! I didn't know that, I'm from Lancaster and we love to travel to see different things. So just know that. The place is very well done, I was impressed. Lots to look at the touch tanks were a favorite with the kiddos. We spent about 2hours there with the kids, so I'd say it was a success.
