Negative experience: I feel the advertising is very misleading. This is located inside a mall and is very small. Its very pricey for only having about 4-6 tanks. I did like the stingray area. Alot of employees wanted us to ask questions about the animals, but then when we asked they didnt know the answers to our questions. Overall this is for small children, not teenagers or adults. Too pricey and very small.

Negative experience: If I could give this no stars, I would. For 2 adults it was $45 and an aquarium barely bigger than medicine park’s. The habitats are SO small - some alarmingly small. Some of their responses are that they take the wellbeing of the animals seriously however a walkthrough shows that they do not. I’m so sad we paid to support a place like this. My heart aches for the animals. Would not recommend. At all.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been here multiple times and every time we experience something new or even see a new exhibit when we come. Definitely family friendly and fun. Brendan was especially nice with explaining how to feed and watch the birds on our last visit.

Fantastic experience: Took my 4-year-old to Blue Zoo at Quail Creek and let me just say… we both had an absolute whale of a time — and I’m not subtracting any stars from this review! The fish were so colorful they could’ve been pulled straight from a box of crayons, and my toddler was more excited than a calculator on test day. But the real MVP? Haylee! She was so helpful, so patient, and so sweet — I swear she must’ve majored in kindness and minored in crowd control. She helped multiply the fun and divide the chaos like a pro. My kid asked if we could “live there now,” so I’m guessing that’s toddler for 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Fantastic experience: Feeding the animals was so fun! We’ve been to many aquariums and don’t let the size or location fool you. The animal feeding experience was really unique. Great for old and young! There are a few play areas perfect for kids age 2 and up to run around and climb on. Definitely recommend. Hailee was super helpful!

Fantastic experience: The workers were very good, and all of them tried their best. Everything is well maintained. I had a few questions about some of the species, and Hailee answered all the questions that I had and brought a very knowledgeable experience to me. I am very satisfied with my experience. Some may say it's small, but the animals are filled with such life, especially the stingrays, which are so happy. It was so fun to interact with them all. All it takes is a little knowledge about stingray handling, and you can see their true personalities. So long as you respect and wait for them.

Right away, Hailee really elevated our experience, guiding us with feeding the Stingrays, which was so exhilirating and made me feel so welcome! The pirate boat themed play place was a delightful reprieve for my little ones. I loved the clean esthetic and thoughtful lighting of the Blue Zoo and I'm very pleased with our first time experience. Every staff person I encountered was so very kind and that really makes the difference in experiences like this one.

Negative experience: My adult daughter and I were visiting OKC for a couple of days. I saw they had an aquarium so I thought that would be something fun for us to do. We were very disappointed. This felt more like a play area for kids rather than an aquarium the entire family would enjoy. Really felt like this was a waste of our money and the 20 minutes it took us to walk through. Very disappointing

Fantastic experience: Great little aquarium and play area for kids! The stingray petting and feeding was super cool! Great place to have a child's birthday party. The entire top floor is basically a play area for children. If you have never been, I would recommend buying tickets online because they make you sign a waiver for your first time, and that really holds up the line. Try to come early in the day because the line was ridiculous in the afternoon. Had a great time here!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely enjoy our visits to the Blue zoo. The kids enjoy the hands on options, the water play and Ofcourse getting to play with on the play area in the air conditioning. The staff are really nice and always stop to give the kids animal interactions. Especially the bird room. For our family of a 2yr old and 5 yr old the annual was worth it.

Fantastic experience: Blue Zoo Aquarium in OKC’s Quail Springs Mall has quickly become one of our favorite places to visit, and a big reason for that is Hailee! She’s been absolutely awesome every single time—friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions or share fun facts about the animals. What really sets this place apart is how interactive it is. Being able to pet stingrays, feed turtles, and get up close with so many animals is such a unique and relaxing experience. It’s the perfect little escape, especially after a stressful week. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—you’ll leave smiling every time.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place, finally upgraded to an annual membership. Hailee has been pretty awesome and friendly the last few visits. The stingrays all have their own personality, some like to come up swimming with their head over the water straight up to ya, while others are a bit ornery and will come up then soak ya with their playful splashing!

Negative experience: Place is way to small for the price. The down stairs has aquarium animals why the top has reptiles and birds from the pet store. Paid $80 for five people to walk around a small area. Does have a nice play area for young kids.

Negative experience: Less than thrilled with this visit to the Blue Zoo. The area on the lower floor stunk really bad. There was nothing where the star fish used to be, just empty. The area by the sink was very dirty and run down. The employee down there was very nice though. In the upstairs area it was hard to find an employee working there other than the one with the parakeets. The play area/equipment looked very dirty and needed to be cleaned. The people working there were nice but overall I was not impressed with the environment and lack of cleanliness, especially for the price paid to attend.

Fantastic experience: We have walked by Blue Zoo so many times on our way to fencing class and finally decided to visit. It's such an awesome place for kids with a lot to do! Hailee was so sweet to our daughter and her buddy, helping them feed the tortoises and fish. They both felt so brave with Hailee's guidance!

Positive experience: My kids enjoyed this. We went early before it got packed. Make sure you visit the second floor of the blue zoo, that's where most of the fun interactive stuff is. Also make sure you bring extra clothes, at least an extra shirt for small children, my 3 year old boy soaked himself but loved it. He was cold later though. The mermaids only come out at certain times, so we left and played glow in the dark mini golf at another place in the mall, then came back for the mermaids later in the day (you just have to keep your bracelet on for the whole day to come and go). For 80 bucks for 2 kids and 2 adults, plus the cost of souvenirs, it was a bit pricey for the experience but it was still fun. If your kids are 3 to probably 10, it's fun.

Fantastic experience: We love Blue Zoo! We make a stop every time we see in OKC because my kids love to see the fish and play on all of the fun toys. It’s become one of our favorite spots to just sit and let the kids play.

Negative experience: The lady at the front desk was unable to answer any of my questions upon arrival. Most staff I found to be unfriendly and unpersonable. One younger gentleman upstairs was very friendly and spoke to us about different information on some of the animals. I also found this to not be worth the value of what was paid. Most of my time there was spent waiting or playing in the park like area, which should not account for my money because there was nothing special about it. The pirate and mermaid items were minimal and there was nothing that really differentiated it from regular play equipment.

Just her friendly personality was enough for us to want to come back! We had a blast! Highly recommended especially if you have toddlers.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time with our 4 kids at the Blue zoo! Pur favorite part was petting the sting rays. Nicole was so extremely friendly and we learned so much about the rays from her! My kids sat with the rays for over an hour, it was definitely a highlight of our visit!

Fantastic experience: Go on a weekday if you can - this place is popular and can feel overwhelming. Our visit today was perfect. First we explored the downstairs and pet the extremely friendly rays and skates. They enjoy being pet and will come to you, even if you don’t pay to feed them (tokens are 2 for $5). Nicole taught us a ton about the animals - you can tell that the staff love and care for each one. Then we took a lunch break at the food court and came back to play and meet more animals upstairs. Your entry fee lasts all day!

Fantastic experience: I was a little timid petting the stingrays until Nicole came by and stuck her hand in the water (she’s a pro)! A little stingray zoomed to her hand and didn’t bother her one bit! Would definitely recommend for both kids and adults, talk to staff while you’re here. They know so much!

Positive experience: This place was located inside quail springs mall, I didn't know that at the time seeing the website and stuff and what they had, well its not as spectacular as what it seems. The best part is when we took my 19th month old to see the birds now that was a trip and a half, the laughter and smiles my baby gave at the birds landing on the hands and.food trays you hold made the trip for us, anyway the bottom floor has a petting stingray pool, and a tank with small a few black tip sharks and fish, the mermaid show also wasn't very fun. Kinda.boring tbh, go upstairs there's a baby otter u can pet which is adorable, the u got the snakes and scorpions and lizards, then u got some fish tanks, u can feed those fish for a token, then the bird enclosure where u can feed the birds, parakeets to be exact. There just been 50 of them or so, wasnt worth the price but

Fantastic experience: This is our first time here! One of my 4 sons is non verbal autistic and this plsce is perfect for him he has been smiles since the second we got here! On first floor team members Hailey and Tyrin helped all three of my little ones feed the stingrays showing them one on one how to feed them. I'm very tempted to get a yearly pass for my family of 6 just based off environment, employee friendliness alone! We will be back soon!

Negative experience: This place should not be called an aquarium. It probably only has 20 small tanks. Most freshwater. A good handful were empty or only contained crabs. All of the tanks were well past the point of needing a desperate cleaning. This place smells and it's filthy. We were done in under 10 minutes. That cost 2 people $40 for 10 minutes to see filthy tanks. Complete RIP OFF!!! Someone needs to investigate this place. It looks like it is ran by someone who just wanted to put home the same type of tanks you would see in someone home or a pet store and then called it an aquarium. This place is a HARD PASS. I would never recommend it. BTW... you can not touch the birds, you will be told to sit down and you have to leave in 5 minutes. There was no octopus. The majority of the advertisement pictures are mis leading at best or not even real.

Negative experience: It broke my heart, in all honesty. I went just to spend time with my family and we were overrun with screaming children and parents who didn’t have the decency to even attempt to control them. A lot of the downstairs tanks featured so many fish that just swam so sluggishly and the rays. Y’all. So many of them were injured and even bleeding. What should’ve happened was they were quarantined and given proper medical care instead of just letting the go and get worse by people who refused to wash their hands before torturing these poor creatures. Upstairs was even worse. There was a large monitor lizard who just laid there with a massive and poorly wrapped bandage on his tail. How does he get that injured by sitting in his inclosure all day? The fish were so depressing and so were the turtles and literally every other animal there. There was an itty bitty tank filled to the BRIM with Madagascar hissing cockroaches (about 50+ in a five gallon). The budgies broke my heart as well. I’ve had budgies before and they’re happy and loud and LOUD, but these budgies just sat there, despite people holding out little cups of food. But enough about these poor, abused creatures. Let’s talk about the safety and obvious health issues. The water tables were DISGUSTING. There should have been some employee there at least trying to make sure the children washed their hands before and after playing in the water tables but of course not because why would they? So many kids ran rampant around the play area with little to no supervision from parents or anyone else for that matter. It’s not okay at all to let your little toddlers run around by themselves. There was also a rock wall with 0 safety guards or anything else. I guess if your kid falls off and cracks their head open, that’s on you. My little sister also got quite sick with something two days later and she wasn’t around anyone else but these other children and the clear disregard of health and sanitation. This “aquarium” needs to be shut down. For the animals there and the people that go to see them.

Negative experience: Horrible “aquarium”, not very taken care of. Very few fish tanks! It is more of a toddler play place. As far as that goes my toddler loved to play, but that was not what we came for. Pay extra to feed animals, the birds did not want food. $20 a person is definitely over priced.

Fantastic experience: They have quite a few activities for the kids to look at or interact with, and basically, a water/stem playground on the second level. We also happened to go when they brought out the python, which freaked the kids out, but they loved it. It was 3 hours well spent

Positive experience: My three kids and I had a great time. It was a very interactive experience, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I gave it four stars because of its smaller size. It took about an hour and a half to see all of the animals, and use 10 tokens to feed the fish, turtles, tortoise, and stingrays.

Fantastic experience: The birds were the best! Definitely suggest feeding. I don't suggest feeding the tortoise bc I was only able to give him one tiny piece of food, not worth the price of a token. We lived that a lot of the animals were able to be touched even if you didn't want to pay to feed them. We had a great time. You could spend a few hours here and especially great for kids with a play jungle gym and upstairs tiny obstacle course and water play games. Worth the $20

Positive experience: From an out of towner visiting, it was actually pretty disappointing, especially because we were so excited. If you have ever been to a real aquarium this doesn't even compare. There's kind of just a handful of tanks and pools. I am giving it a 3-star though because the sting rays were actually cool and they do have decent play areas for younger children. Kids are pretty easy to please so my kids were happy and entertained. It got busy and crowded right away so you have to go right when it opens if you hate people lol. Oh and if it's your first time visiting, the entrance is from inside the mall. Just don't expect an actual full on aquarium and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Cute for what it is. Different types of rays to pet and feed as well as birds, tortoise, and big river fish you can feed. My daughter loved it and the price is good for being a mall aquarium. The gift shop has lots of cute souvenirs.

Positive experience: Visited here as a last minute trip to kill time. Had a 13 yo and 3 yo with us. They both enjoyed it. If you plan to go, bring a change of clothes for your little one as they have water play areas for them and will get wet! Upstairs is a decent play area for kids. I just wish they had better/more of a selection for snacks.

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time feeding and interacting with the sting rays and viewing the reptiles. The scale salon was a fun hands on experience and staff was kind, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Positive experience: We visited the Blue Zoo Saturday March, 22. We enjoyed the Blue Zoo and our kids had a lot of fun. However, my card was compromised after scanning the QR code that is posted at the entrance. We told the employee at the front and she informed us we weren't the first people that had happened to that day. She called the manager, but nothing was done. I had to cancel my card. It really messed up the rest of our plans we had for the day. I recommend purchasing tickets directly at the front or purchase tickets online if possible. Do not scan any QR code.

Positive experience: I'd say the best parts of this place are petting and feeding the sting rays and the fish that suck on your hands.

Fantastic experience: My son loves touching and feeding the stingrays and also the nibbling fish and the parakeets and he loves playing on the obstacle course and doing all the other activities. He always has so much fun when we come here!

Negative experience: If you’re wanting to waste your time and feel like the worst person ever to fund such a terrible place then this is for you! When you first walk in you’re greeted with the stingray petting zone, however it should be called “stingray torture zone.” First off, there are no instructors there to teach the little ones on how to properly pet a stingray, I witnessed a little girl shove a stingray underwater as it helplessly tried to escape. Along with that they do not enforce the washing hands before touching them which puts them at risk to outside bacteria and chemicals, and they don’t enforce you to wash your hands AFTER touching the stingrays too leaving yourself at risk. Next to the stingray petting zone is a long medium sized tank for black tip sharks and other small fish. The rocks in there were fake and the blue paint was peeling into their water, it also looked like it hasn’t been cleaned since they opened it. Then you walk upstairs to an open layout filled with play stuff, hello? Where are the fish? Oh they’re in these very small tanks that are barely noticeable. Small tanks, big fish. In one of the tanks I noticed two red eared sliders with no rocks or any sort of land for them to bask on and rest, how would you like to just try and float in water all the time when you are meant for both? What really broke my heart was the tortoises, one of them was so clearly stressed, it kept extending its neck and its two front feet pushing on the wall, which hasn’t been the first time because you can see markings on the wall from where it tries to escape. All it had in its enclosure was flooring, a water bowl and a place to hide that looked way too small. If you’re looking for an educational and fun trip then I suggest going to the OKC zoo instead, you’ll get your moneys worth there and won’t have to leave with such a heavy heart for those poor animals.

Fantastic experience: Went during spring break, it was busy but we were still able to enjoy. My middle school girls favorite things are the string rays but they also enjoyed playing w the water toys

Negative experience: Only one person working checking in, long line to get in, the girl working checking in was very frustrated & short, once in very little to see and honestly the only thing to do was to pet the stingrays. You might as well spend your money and go to the Science Museum. We weren’t there to play on interactive water tables. No mermaids, diving or pirate show during the week, only on weekends, or Wednesday afternoon for the pirate show, would have been nice to see that on your website beforehand, seemed very shorthand and son’t waste your time standing in line to feed the parakeets. Would not recommend spending your time or money at The Blue Zoo. If I could give it a zero star I would!

Negative experience: The experience was pretty disappointing. Even my 5 year old was disappointed. My 15 year old and I were just super bummed. The prices for what it was- absolutely not worth the price. For me, I love information. When I go to the zoo, I love reading about small details with the animals. There were *some* labels with information, but honestly… none of it was organized. Some things were labeled in the wrong spots, some were labeled and the fish weren’t even there. The layout with all of the play equipment was just too much. You’re pretty much just paying for your kids to play at water tables, a rock climbing wall, and a couple other play gyms. I can take my kid to the park and get fresh air for free. I can take my children to the splash pad for free. I can buy my own water tables that my kiddo doesn’t have to struggle to play in with how many kids and lack of supervision. The price I paid to get in alone could have paid for a pretty decent water tables. The lack of employees watching over the exhibits was crazy! Kids literally throwing the turtles (while in the water.. not out of the water), watching the turtles just spin and struggle.. was just crazy. And the mom not even caring that her child is doing this. An employee could have easily stepped in.. but, nothing. There’s way more, but honestly… this is enough complaining for one review. I definitely would not recommend. If you want to see an aquarium, just make your way to Tulsa or even Dallas. This just wasn’t it in any way.

Positive experience: I personally feel like it was too expensive for what it offered. However having said that, being able to freely touch the Stingrays was pretty amazing. But that was about the only true amazing thing about that place.

Negative experience: Was excited to go expecting it to be big and tons of fish and sea life since it's in Oklahoma City. It was a total let down. Paid $60 for a few fish and basically a big playground. The Jenks OK aquarium is ten times better. The price for Blue zoo is terrible for basically a large play ground. Only thing interesting was the sting rays. Don't bother going if you expect a large aquarium. No big sharks or cool fish. Could have taken my son to a playground for free. Sorry I spent the $60 definitely not worth the money.

Negative experience: No security or workers on the second floor to control kids doing things they shouldn’t be doing. Paper towel dispenser by the scaley salon did not work. Water everywhere, major slip hazard!! Not worth the money!!! Need to somehow control the number of visitors at any given time.

Positive experience: Good experience. A little small compared to other aquariums, but for being in the mall, really good. Elevator was broken when we were there and I had to carry the stroller up stairs. Other than that pretty good.
