Fantastic experience: Take some time to visit this aquarium, it's not huge, but definitely worth a visit to! Make sure you feed the sting rays, unique experience to say the least!

Positive experience: Kinda pricey for how small it is, but nonetheless it's definitely worth checking out with the kids! Got to pet sting rays, sea anemones and live star fish! That was a super cool experience. Staff were so sweet and knowledgeable!

Positive experience: I liked how immersive and hands on this place is and they have a large array of all different types of marine life. The only problem is we were in there for an hour and saw everything so the price was not worth just an hour.

Positive experience: Great place! Friendliest, most helpful staff I've encountered at any business in the Shreveport/Bossier area by far. Nice aquarium and solid vibe.

Negative experience: Kinda dirty for an aquarium and not very big at all. Website states that it takes about 2 hours to see everything here. Me and my family finished in 40 minutes. Plus, with how dirty some enclosures were, it was hard to see some of the fish and animals.

Negative experience: Price should definitely be less based on what you actually experience. A good chunk of the experiences you have to pay extra for on top of an already pricey admission. Our family of 4 was $98 for maybe an hour of entertainment and minimal air condition. Also, bring your own water bottle because there’s nothing to even purchase until the very end once you’ve already done a lot of sweating. Walkways are VERY narrow so everything feels pretty crowded and rushed.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly and informative. My kids always have fun petting the stingray.

Fantastic experience: This place is pretty cool and has a great selection of animals and areas to play in. It's surprisingly affordable, both the tickets and the merchandise. Don't expect a massive aquarium but it does well with the space it has and is a great visit and a lot of fun. ALL of the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the creatures. Very glad I came here, and within walking distance of my resort!

Negative experience: I have previously visited the aquarium with my two special needs children last year and we were literally followed through the entire aquarium by one of the staff workers while several (not all) of the employees were rude and dismissive. We attempted to give the aquarium another shot today, and again were met with several (not all) rude and dismissive workers. The exhibit is nice, but it seems some of the staff is not very welcoming to autistic children.

Fantastic experience: This aquarium was super cute and well kept. The animals seem happy and the staff was really nice and helpful. My son's favorite part was the axolotls and mine was the wood nymphs!

Fantastic experience: It's a small aquarium but the kids love it. We will be going again. If you buy tickets online it's a few dollars cheaper. We decided to buy a season pass and they applied the ticket purchase to the cost of the season pass.

Fantastic experience: I was kind of disappointed with the first part. However, as a whole, it was awesome, I took my kids 11 and 3, and they had a blast. I would definitely recommend going! I don't have any pics on my phone, but here's a pic of my dice trey.

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful gem that's hidden in the middle of the city.Of shreveport louisiana. It's a small aquarium but it's nice. It's in walking distance of the valley's casino and sam's casino.

Fantastic experience: As always this place is fantastic for children of all ages especially teenagers. The aquarium keeps everybody entertained and it's great to be able to touch the manta rays and stingrays.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I had a great time visiting today. Attendance was low due to the extreme cold but it worked out great for us. Every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Cora was so knowledgeable and walked us through two sections. When we told her we hadn’t seen the albino snapping turtle she walked us back and showed us her hiding spot. I didn’t catch the name of the staff member in the sting ray area but she was so kind and enthusiastic explaining how to get the best experience feeding the rays. We were so glad we decided to spend part of our day there.

Positive experience: Came here in a Sunday shortly after they opened and was shocked how busy it was already. Look. I’m an adult woman with no kids. I enjoy aquariums. And thank God for noise cancelling ear buds because DAMN kids are loud. Kids will be kids, but it was definitely very crowded. I wanted to chill and watch some fish but yknow. It was busy. I’ve been to quite a few aquariums on my travels. This one isn’t bad. For the price I’d say a little steep for what it is. I was there maybe 30 mins. Staff was friendly, I appreciated that. Just so packed.

Fantastic experience: For a small town, Shreveport aquarium made quite the impression. From the warm and friendly greeting we had upon entering, to the staff attending to the stingray touch tank, everyone we encountered was engaging and informative. The aquarium really embraced the season with the Christmas decorations. They were strategically placed and didn't detract from the exhibits. I was amazed that such a small aquarium had paddlefish! The jellyfish exhibit and stingray tank were a highlight, but the Axolotls topped them all. They were so cool! Lots of merchandise in the gift shop that featured the cool looking amphibian, too. Again, it is s small aquarium so don't expect to see every single aquatic creature, but they covered enough to entertain us to a few hours. My only complaint was regarding the parking lot. Free parking garage across the street was convenient, but it is barely kept. It rained when we visited and successfully disguised a pothole that seemed to be 10 feet deep. I thought I lost an axle the way my car dropped into it. They need to look into repaving the area.

Fantastic experience: Very cool! Lots of cool animals, and we got to pet the stingrays too, which is a very cool experience. The staff was very Nice and knew a lot about the animals. This is my second time going here and I love it every time.

Fantastic experience: I went for Believe Lights the Night and my three year old said "this is the best night of my life" it was my favorite Christmas event this year. Everything was so whimsical and magical. It exceeded my expectations.

Positive experience: Very interactive, not the largest facility, but they made due with their sq footage. Very friendly staff as well.

Fantastic experience: Their Christmas lights and everything going on was perfect for our family. We especially appreciated their "grown-up hot chocolate" for us while the kids enjoyed what they had to offer. Santa was great, the staff were into their role, and everything was quick and smooth!

Positive experience: Very neat little aquarium with a nice variety of fish, but we thought it was kinda pricey ($23 per adult after tax online) for the size and amount of time spent inside. We stopped at every tank, took some pics, picked out our favorite fish, pet the stingrays, and browsed the gift shop in about 45 minutes. This aquarium is also clearly geared for kids so I write this review knowing we aren't the intended audience, but we entered at the same time as a set of grandparents + 3 grandkids and we finished up at the same time. So for them it was also about 45 minutes. I would still absolutely recommend visiting!

Fantastic experience: Enjoyed the time I spent here. Lots of animals that are very well kept and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. It’s free to touch a lot of the animals including stingrays, starfish, shrimp, sea cucumber and anemones! Feeding the rays was $6 per cup and I got them BOGO.

Fantastic experience: This is a nice aquarium! Of course it doesn't compare in size to the one in New Orleans, LA or in Georgia, it was still very nice. My kids and I really liked the opportunities to pet the star fish, sting rays, and jellyfish! My children, even my 19 year old and his girlfriend, my husband, and myself ALL found this an exciting place to visit. We made a day of it by visiting the Sciport Discovery Center afterwards. I hate that I got so wrapped up in enjoying the sharks and other fish that I forgot to take pictures of most of them!

Fantastic experience: I’m from El Paso TX and we don’t have aquariums in my city so I was excited when I found out Shreveport did. My daughter and I had a great experience for the most part while visiting the aquarium. Everyone was extremely kind and friendly, all but one staff member (she’s the lady in the picture). She was beyond rude and seemed irritated at anything my daughter and I did. We just ignored her and walked away. The gentleman that was with the jellyfish was super nice and informative about the species. Thank you sir for being patient with my daughter, she loved the shark teeth and seeing her crystal rocks under the microscope.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved this experience! Tate at the sting rays was awesome! Learned a lot from him. Autumn over by the Turtles and Gators was very informative as well!

Fantastic experience: Took our family to the Shreveport Aquarium and had an outstanding experience. All of the kids 12-7yo in our group enjoyed the panning activity. We ended up purchasing a second bag because even the adults assisting wanted to do it again. The interactive starfish and sting rays were also a huge hit. We loved watching the baby alligators get fed as well. The tanks and displays were informative and captivating. Would go again!

Fantastic experience: My family and I had so much fun here! The touch pool instructor was very knowledgeable and she took her time with us and it was great! She answered so many of our questions. The whole aquarium was awesome! It isn’t GINORMOUS but we enjoyed ourselves and spent well over an hour here! We took a 5 month old and a 7 month old and they had so much to look at.

Fantastic experience: Great little aquarium in downtown Shreveport! Staff are welcoming and informative. A nice pace to be had in order to take time to observe the animals. A fun outdoor area with alligators, turtles and sift for semi-precious gems, fossils and shark teeth. You purchase a $9 bag of dirt or larger and dip it through sift boards in the running water. A great touch area with an enthusiastic instructor. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Shreveport Aquarium. I'm from Atlanta, so we know good aquariums. ;) I went here with my grandparents, mother, and my service dog (in training). The staff was LOVELY, and the animals are great. It's a cute little aquarium and was perfect for my pup to do some training in.

Fantastic experience: It's more than an Aquarium, this family & kid-friendly environment offers Gemstone Mining, as well as feeding + petting the Stingrays! Amazing sight. Yes, they let us touch the Starfish & anemones, too! We weren't able to pet the jellyfish that day, I guess they were sleeping. My daughter & I were thrilled, we had such a great time there!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place. We had a guided tour for my granddaughter’s kindergarten class and it was WONDERFUL. Our tour guide did an AMAZING job. He was patience, kind, and had a wealth of knowledge and he shared it so well with the little 5 and 6 years old. We had a Great time and it was an awesome experience. Definitely will go again, we had so much fun.

Fantastic experience: The aquarium is a nice family atmosphere to enjoy the kids faces at the awh of the adventure, and taking pictures of the kids as they touch and explore the sea life. My grandchildren really got onto the touching of the sea animals (if i can call them animal). You will have fun.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been members for two years and this is my son’s favorite place to go! They’ve added more sea creatures, insects and things over time. It’s nice to see them dedicated to improving. I love taking him whenever there are events going on because it gives him a more interactive experience. In July they have Shark Week and they throw a “party” for one of the sharks. It’s cute and we love it because it’s a few days before my sons birthday and they’re the same age. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The addition of the restaurant/cafe was the perfect touch. Although, it would be nice if the hours were more convenient. The restaurant hardly ever seems to be open. I highly recommend getting memberships. It’s worth it. The website lists all of the perks for membership. I will say, it’s better experiencing in person. We make the most of it.

Fantastic experience: We love going to the Shreveport aquarium. I went once with my whole family including my 14-year-old 12-year-old 1-year-old and 4 and 5-year-old nephews. I purchase a membership for myself so me and my 1-year-old can go back while the kids are in school. I do wish it was open earlier because before nap time it was the best time to go anywhere, but with that being said we can still go at noon and be out of there before my kids get home from school. Edit -my daughter is now 4. We didn't go as often as I would have liked that year with the pass, just because it did open at noon and it is so much easier to go in the morning, however, we went today for the first time in 8 months and she had a BLAST!!! The stingrays are her favorite, by far, but she did enjoy the entire trip. We are normally there for an hour and a half. It is bit pricy for a short amount of time (2 tickets, plus feeding the stingrays), but as a treat it was worth it!

Fantastic experience: What a great place!! We were pleasantly suprised with the aquarium. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, and there is so much to see and do! Both my boys (13 & 9) loved it. We all enjoyed the huge snapping turtles and the shark tank. We would visit again. Highly recommended for families of all ages.

Positive experience: We visit several aquariums a year. It was a pretty good one to go to. Prices a hair high midday in the week. 3 of us $60 including feeding the sting rays once.

Fantastic experience: We only went to The Riverwalk Cafe, not the aquarium. The Cafe was awesome! Beautiful evening to sit outside on the deck. We ordered several appetizers to share and all were tasty. On Wed, Thurs & Fri, they have Happy Hour drink specials. Service was great as well. We will definitely be back! Check out the views.

Fantastic experience: Loved our visit to the aquarium. I fed the rays. I enjoyed the hands-on experiences. We liked getting to watch the alligators and sharks being fed. And all the employees were SUPER FRIENDLY. Also, the entry fee and price to feed the rays were very reasonable.

Positive experience: 3.5 Stars: I really enjoyed the aquarium! The staff was polite and the flow was good. There was quite a bit to see even for a smaller scale aquarium. HOWEVER, there were a couple things that made me very sad. Mainly the prehistoric paddlefish exhibit. It was the saddest thing I’ve seen in a long time. While all the other fish and exhibits had plenty of room, the paddlefish were ALL squeezed into this one tiny, bland, stand alone take with nothing but rocks at the bottom. I didn’t see a single one without damage to the end of their snout. They were all swimming in an endless circle rubbing their snouts against the sides of the tank. It really hurt to see and dampened the experience for us. While the rest of the place was great and we loved touching some of the animals there were only a few other tanks that seemed a little less taken care of. Overall we had a great experience but I hope the owners see this and do something about those poor paddlefish, they’re definitely suffering. UPDATE: Thank you for the response!! That’s very reassuring to know they won’t stay in there and will be released for repopulation! Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: Second time season pass holder. The stingrays are an emotional subject with me because I have grown to love them so much. I feed them every time I go and I have my favorites. My grandchildren love that they can go anytime they want. With mermaid and pirate parties, starfish touch tank and my favorite fish (a puffer fish named Potato) & gourmet food served overlooking the water, I’m in love with this aquarium. The staff cares about your experience and is friendly beyond compare. Touch a jellyfish, touch a starfish, touch a stingray, and make friends with Potato. They support local charities and take the opportunity to educate about the troubles our ocean creatures face with pollution, overfishing, & plastic. Pricing is more than affordable for a seasons pass. Nice lunch date spot. Good for weekenders looking for a consistent and genuine experience. You will not be disappointed. ( if you ask, staff will show you what tank Potato is in, He will be the adorable puffer fish that is so excited to see you that he is pressing his lips against the glass as he smiles at you, you will fall in love with Potato)

Fantastic experience: We loved this aquarium! All the personnel were so nice. We loved all the fish and the hands on activities (touching sting rays, and anemones and star fish).. We also spent a little for the kids to “mine” for rocks at the Red River Treasure Mine (we did get a bit wet!, so bring an extra shirt). We were there for 2 hours and had a great time!

Fantastic experience: I visited the Aquarium's backside River view cafe for a night holiday concert. It was fabulous! With inside/outside seating we chose the patio sitting area around the fire pit. While there I noticed weekday specials with a "hoppy our" Wednesday evenings with lite fare for purchase 5-7. on the riverside cafe. Truly a hidden gem! Well maintained building and grounds, professional and personable staff! I can't wait to visit for the exhibits.

Fantastic experience: First time going to an aquarium and I was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful they gave a lot of information about the different animals and some fun facts about them. It may seem small but it's very packed with interactive things to do overall for the price it was really worth it.

Fantastic experience: I was really surprised at how nice this place is considering how small it looks from the outside. Inside there is a lot going on and so many fish. There are a few different interactive station that are no extra charge which is amazing!

Fantastic experience: We didn’t know that Shreveport had an aquarium so we didn’t really have any expectations going in. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The aquarium is on the smaller side but had a lot of awesome hands-on exhibits and great employees who seemed to really care about educating people about the animals. We got to touch jellyfish, sting rays, starfish and coral. It was not crowded at all and we could spend as much time as we wanted at each exhibit. We all really enjoyed the aquarium and will definitely return!

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience and not too pricey. Parking was a little confusing as it is only the top layer to garage across the street, but it was free. Got to feed stingrays, pet jellyfish, and they had more unique animals on display than my local aquarium. I also loved the pirate or Halloween theme they had going on as well with activities throughout. Very memorable time.

Fantastic experience: I was initially reluctant to visit, but my husband and children mentioned it a couple different times. I’m so glad I trusted them :) our children had a wonderful time in the aquarium. It was pirate themed, and offered had a $3 option to join the scavenger hunt. We chose the scavenger hunt, and our children really enjoyed it! They were were given a small task to complete at each of the 6 stations, we had a lot of fun finding the stations, completing the tasks and getting their cards stamped. They were greeted by a real pirate who led them to the treasure chest for a bag of loot, after tricking my kids into taking a picture with him :)

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place! Absolutely love it! It was a rainy day and rain could get through part of the old dome roof but honestly it added to the ambience for the animals in there. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. I loved the underwater tunnel and the little "bubbles" where you could look up at the animals like you were in the tank. The baby alligators, axolotls, stingrays, sharks.. Seriously couldn't pick a favorite. Absolutely wonderful and highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: It is a small aquarium, going through the whole thing only took 30 minutes, but it is a fun stop! It’s very interactive and you get to touch a variety of animals like sea cucumbers, starfish, manta rays, and best of all jellyfish! I’m from Dallas and I enjoyed this small aquarium a lot more than the larger Dallas aquarium.

Fantastic experience: July 1, 2023 came here for the first time. This is a very cool, little aquarium with some exotic sea creatures. I figured that Shreveport's aquarium would have been slightly bigger, but it was great visiting and enjoying the sights. The interactive spots to touch the starfish and the anemones/coral was fun. Seeing the visitors feed the stingrays were really cool, too. It is definitely pleasing and calming to see the sea creatures here.

Fantastic experience: While it’s not the biggest aquarium we’ve visited, it certainly has charm! Gorgeous plants, aquatic life, and the coolest touch tank I’ve experienced. Also very clean with plenty of places to wash your hands along the way!

Positive experience: This aquarium is small but very nice. A lil pricey. I could have gotten tickets cheaper online and the cashier at the aquarium told me I wouldn't save money buying online. That's not true. I could have saved 15 to 18 dollars online. That wasn't nice of her. Buy tickets online instead of the aquarium you can save a little money. Overall me and my family enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: Great trip for the day. It was interactive and educational. The kids loved doing the touch pools. We also washed dirt and found minerals and sharks teeth. It was fun for all of us.

Fantastic experience: Buy your tickets online. I think you save $2. My husband, myself, mother in law, neice, sister in law, and my step son went. It was nice. My neice had a blast. The aquariums are nice, clear and clean. I would recommend visiting. We didn't eat there but the dining area looked clean and inviting.

Positive experience: It was fun, kind of expected a little more but definitely would have been great for older kids, lots of hands on things! And the young lady working in the room with the starfish, she was AMAZING that lady needs a raise she convinced my two year old to put her hand in the tank and touch a starfish and was patient, kind, relatable, and great!!! Fantastic experience: I really love this aquarium. It's just the right size auarium and the tanks and exhibits they have are fantastic in my opinion. Great for a family outing!

Positive experience: My daughter loves it. But there is water leaking out of these tanks everywhere. I don't think that is safe as this can cause structural damage and a burst and possible biological issues. The staff was great, friendly and informative. Much better value than the science place which she found boring at nearly twice the price. Would've been five stars if not for the leaks.

Fantastic experience: I’ll begin by saying that love aquariums in general. And despite the smaller size of this one, I absolutely adore it. I’m a member and I go at least once a month! They’ve got a great variety of animals and activities. I love the sharks and rays. And the mining activity has become a recent favorite too! I teach science and my students loved getting to see the fossils that I’d found through that experience.

Fantastic experience: It was a fun experience with my children and relatively cheap. It took about an hour for us to walk thru and look at all the cool fish and animals they have. While not the biggest aquarium, it definitely has some interesting animals to see. You get to see jellyfish and you also get to pet and feed Manta Ray's and touch starfish. I would recommend this to anyone for a cheap and fun event with the kiddos (they also do memberships)

Fantastic experience: Beautiful aquarium with plenty of fish, sharks, and other creatures. They offer audio QR codes for each of the fish tanks to learn more about them. The workers who are supervising the petting areas were super sweet and helpful to let us know how to properly handle each of the animals. I loved the variety of fish and reptiles they had around the exhibit. A lot of the tanks we saw had very active and visible fish which I usually struggle with in aquariums but all of the animals seemed so happy they came right up to the glass! Walking through this is definitely worth it for an outing!

Fantastic experience: Love bringing the kids here. Staff is very friendly, especially Eli in the gift shop. Not too big but love the touch tanks and walkthrough.

Positive experience: We enjoyed our trip. Seeing all the fish made me hungry though It was a lot smaller than expected -especially for the price. I was able to get the military discount, however.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time at the aquarium! Mae, who works with the sting rays, was so awesome. She told us about the different types and encouraged us to reach all the way into the tank to touch them (my arms are too short, but my 13 y/o was ready to jump in). I loved the jellyfish and the sea anemones. Like others have said, it's small and only takes an hour when you take your time and enjoy the animals. Fantastic experience: Loved it! It looks small on the outside but there was a lot to do and see. My fiancés little brother who is 6 had a blast and couldn’t stop talking about the adventure he had. We will definitely be back! Better than more expensive aquariums we’ve been to. The staff was informative and great at customer service. Fish looked happy and clean. The gift shop wasn’t expensive either and had a lot of cute souvenirs.

Fantastic experience: Small but excellent aquarium with very well done presentations. Expect to make it through in less than an hour, though kids might linger a while longer as there are numerous hands-on opportunities throughout. May not seem too cheap given the size, but not that expensive overall as these types of attractions go. Worthwhile visit if looking for a local outing.

Fantastic experience: We had the best time. Took our niece who was so excited to be able to touch the Stingray and Starfishes. Not the biggest place but definitely had its charm and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Totally enjoyed it and would definitely do it again. Alan

Positive experience: Went for a birthday Love aquariums. You can touch the sting rays and jelly fish here. Has a walk through tunnel to see fish above you.
