Fantastic experience: Josh and the rest of the staff were perfect. Saw many healthy and happy animals. Prices were incredible. Great place to check out, much better than sea quest was!

Fantastic experience: This place a great place for all animal lovers. What a treasure to find in a giant outdoor mall! So many interesting and interactive rescue animals, and such nice accommodating staff. You can really feel the love and respect they have for these rescues. I wish I lived out this way so I could join staff and help their crew.

Positive experience: The staff was nice . I almost couldn’t take the smell… not a bad place the animals are all active.

Fantastic experience: I loved this aquarium/minizoo. I haven’t been to a zoo and aquarium in so long and this made my experience so much better. The animals were super playful, the capybara was so nice, one of the fish did a nice backflip. Other than the slightly overpriced adult tickets it was such a great experience 8/10

Fantastic experience: Recently stopped by here with some of my family that was visiting out of state with their toddler and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Not only was my niece having a blast , us adults to were very impressed with all the different exhibits that they had to offer. The aquarium exhibits offered a variety of fish both tropical, jungle and ocean filled with sharks , rays , fish , eels and turtles. The wildlife aspect also offered a variety with iguanas , snakes , turtles, sloths, birds. What also stood out was the staff specifically Priya who tends to all the different animals. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for something to do with the kiddos and pretty cool to see for yourself as well.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing treasure. This was the best experience by far I have had at this establishment, I previously didn’t love coming here (under past ownership) felt so commercialized, but the recent improvements are really taking shape. The animals seem very pleased, staff is so helpful and knowledgeable (such as the scientist that guided us to various animal encounters), so many amazing aquatic animals and land mammals to visit. The diversity of exhibits is amazing. Pricing isn’t outrageous, animals are well taken care of of, facility is clean, wait time to get in isn’t bad at all, there are also keep sakes for purchase, you receive appropriate sized bags color coded to feed the animals, there are also various bundles available to customize you trip and save money as well I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the staff members: Lily, Ryan A, Joy, Malia, Priya and Ryan L! My niece loved interacting with all the animals especially the capybara and the parakeets! I really enjoyed meeting ranger a beautiful, OUTSPOKEN, tropical bird.I’m definitely looking forward to coming again and am so happy this new improved version is a place I can continue to bring my children to, time and time again.

Fantastic experience: RYAn n Joy n Daniel Were great employees. Went out of their way to help us with our needs. I recommend this place highly. We will be back. My mom was in a wheelchair and there was enough room for her to see all. Especially Susie the sloth. Thank you again for a enjoyable visit.

Positive experience: Entrance receptionist was quite rude otherwise the staff was great and knowledgeable. Many cool animals both fresh water mammals reptiles and birds. You can sit and have colorful budgeries land on your shoulders or hands. Grandkids loved it.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time with our family. My two sons (8&11) had a fantastic time. The staff (Ariana & Ryan) were very knowledgeable and getting to actually interact with the animals was amazing.

Fantastic experience: This Aquarium was an absolute blast for my 3yr olds birthday. Aspen was amazing with coordinating my booking my party promptly and she was extremely friendly! My party host Autumn was absolutely amazing and so attentive to all my party needs! Thank you all so much!

Negative experience: I don't understand how this place is still in business. I've heard bad things about it but we checked it out anyways to see if it really was all that bad. The first thing we noticed was THE AWFUL smell that place reaks of wild animal feces and their food I'm guessing. It was musty , like humid and stuffy, was anxious to get out and get some fresh air . There was a pregnant woman running the desk and I felt so bad for her she had a fan blowing on her and I was thinking how unhealthy it was to have her even working there breathing that in luckily she was closest to the door but still I asked her if the ac was broken she said no it's just really hot. Then we noticed these animals had no sunlight no fresh air anywhere and it was so dark and so very sad. You really shouldn't be allowed to feed wild animals especially unsupervised there were only signs saying what foods to feed certain animals. I can only imagine children feeding the wrong animal the wrong foods.. this was the saddest animal place I've ever been to really It was so wrong I have no idea how this place is still in business or why anyone supports it. Some of the windows looked very dirty too like they hadn't been cleaned on the inside and it all looked like dirty plastic , maybe it was plexiglass but it looked really badly dirty. Also at the front desk their computer wasn't registering that we had even bought tickets online so it was a bit of a wait for us to get in and what I'm guessing was a giftshop was a sorry excuse for one. You'd expect so much more in a gift shop to help contribute to the animals foods and care and such and from what I've heard it's looked this incomplete and sparse for over 5 years. Please shut this place down for good and give those animals to the folsom zoo or Sacramento zoo this place isn't giving animals fresh air or sunlight they Don't know morning from night and their enclosures are not clean ... shut it down for the love of animals please stop supporting this money hungry b.s place.

Fantastic experience: REALLY fun! The workers are helpful, the animals are adorable, I've seen a few animals here that I haven't seen anywhere before. Special mention: Ryan, Jonah, and Nina. Really nice worker, I appreciate their communication. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: It was really nice. The worker Jonah did really well with informing us what to do and helped us with a lot. The worker Ryan was good at helping us out as we entered the establishment and it was really nice. Also it was really nice learning how well Nina takes care of the animals.

Fantastic experience: They care about the animals and it shows. It smells like fish and farm but hey, it's an indoor zoo. Highly recommend it for parties or grandparents taking the grandkids. I would suggest the animal experiences for a few dollars more. Very impressed at the cleanliness of the facility and kindness of the staff.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what a treat! I rate NorCal Aquarium and Wildlife in Folsom a 10/10! In the past, this location used to be Seaquest, and that place was absolutely awful. We had gone a few times, but since had refused to give any more of our money towards that place, when I had specific health concerns for the animals there as well as the types of people that were on staff and maintenance of the facility. Fast-forward to today, my child, his friend, and I were walking by this location and discovered that it is no longer Seaquest. It is now NorCal Aquarium and Wildlife! We walked in, and I talked to one of the managers, Ryan A. I asked questions about the change in the name, and he let me know that it is a completely different company under different ownership, and they have done many things to better the facility as well as the quality of life for the animals that are currently there. He urged us to give it a try and to see what we thought. Ryan was quite thoughtful and informative. He answered all of my questions and gave me a lot of background information that I was wanting. The first thing I noticed was that the price was very fair. My child and his friend cost $10 each, and I was $15. If you want to do an experience in feeding certain animals, it does cost a little bit more. But since this was my first time coming back to this location since it was Seaquest, I opted to just walk through and check out the changes. The second thing I noticed was that it smelled so much better. Amazing what a beautiful new floor and keeping everything clean does for a facility! All throughout our visit, I noticed the staff were age-appropriate, professional, dressed nicely, and interacted well with us. One in particular talked to my son and his friend about the hedgehog; I believe that lady's name was Autumn. She was very friendly and answered all of the boys' questions. The animals' pens look so much better, and certain animals that used to be there are now gone while other animals have been brought in. (The big tortoise that used to be there was given to a tortoise rescue, which was one piece of background information that Ryan gave me, and one I was very happy to hear about!) One major change that I also noticed was the aquarium at the end of the tour. The water is so much cleaner, and the amount of wildlife in there has been drastically reduced. You don't feel like you're seeing a lot of fish/sharks/rays swimming on top of one another. They actually have space now to swim about freely, and the water is so much more clear than what it was before. I am more than impressed! To bring this facility back to life and to honor the animals that live there is truly a great testament to the new owners as well as the staff. I'm going to give kudos to one staff member in particular, Malia. I was informed that she does a lot of the behind-the-scenes work, and I can only imagine how much work that is! So thank you, Malia. Thank you, Ryan and the rest of the staff. And thank you to the new owners of this facility. Please continue doing everything you can to give those animals a beautiful and safe life and keep the facility looking better and better.

Fantastic experience: We had SUCH a great time! We were first greeted by Ryan A. the manager and he walked us thru all of our options and took great care of us.... We became yearly pass holders! Our encounters were with the sloth, otters, Amazon fish and the wallabie and our guides were AMAZING! From Autumn and Malia to Ryan L. They were all the best. Ryan L. aka Shark Boy is a paleontologist and was really patient and gave us lots of cool factoids about the animals. We can't wait to come back and try more encounters and get to know more of the staff, like Priya who does amazing work behind the scenes.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time! Definitely more than an aquarium. My children loved it and learned a lot. Both Ryan and Ryan L were very informative. Will definitely come back.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our visit to the NorCal Aquarium wildlife center. They have an interesting collection of animals and a very knowledgeable staff. Our family really enjoyed seeing the Sloths up close. Priya and the rest of the staff here are show a lot of enthusiasm and dedication to their animals. If you’re in the area, check it out!

Positive experience: It’s small, but my 7 year old really enjoyed the experience, especially feeding the fish. I would give the full 5 stars, but they still have work to do to get it where it should be. While speaking to Ryan we learned a ton of great information and now my child is super interested in learning more about fossils.

Fantastic experience: This is the perfect place with the cutest animals and fishes. My kids was happy and enjoying. Also they have discounts for visiting on Monday-Friday after 4pm. We will be there again.

Negative experience: There is no ventilation in the building it’s hard to breathe. Smell is really strong. The tanks are way too small for the animals it’s hard to not feel bad. Toucan had a bad scissor beak. This could be a really great place but it should definitely be shut down refurbished, tlc for the animals, and maybe it could be a lot better.

Fantastic experience: I visited this place back when it was still SeaQuest, and honestly, it was in really bad shape. It was dirty, disorganized, the floors were nasty, the aquarium water was murky, and even the glass was hard to see through. It felt like no part of it was being taken care of properly. After the change to NorCal Aquarium and Wildlife, my family went again about three weeks after the transition. At that point, not much had changed yet. Staff told us they were planning to invest money and make improvements, so we gave it a shot and signed up for an annual membership in early May. Just recently—early June—we visited again, and the difference was amazing. The place was super clean, the water in the aquariums was crystal clear (especially in most tanks, even if not all), and we could actually see the animals well. It finally felt like a proper aquarium. We had a great time, and our one-and-a-half-year-old enjoyed it. A staff member named Jane really stood out—she was helpful, kind, and very knowledgeable. She shared a lot of interesting facts about the animals and seemed genuinely passionate, helping other guests too. Before we left, we shared our feedback, and the staff let us know they’re continuing to make improvements. They currently have only three locations nationwide, and they’re focused on building quality, not just quantity. That was encouraging to hear. Overall, it’s still growing, but the progress is real. If you visited during the SeaQuest days and were disappointed like I was, I definitely recommend giving it another try.

Fantastic experience: The experience was amazing!! Ryan greeted us very warmly at the entrance. We ended up paying the dinner tour and Jane made it so worth it!!! She was informing and sweet. Katie was also very helpful and we definitely recommend it to anyone in the area! It was a fun experience:)

Fantastic experience: Truly awesome experience for a local aquarium. We googled “kid-friendly events in the area” on a whim, went right at opening without expectations, and sprang for the “Ultimate Package”. So glad we did because the 4 interactive animal experiences were the best part. Large enough keep the kiddos busy for hours, not too large that the kids were losing their mind and breaking down with overstimulation. Cute decor, get to see animals more up close than at the zoo (plus AC!), and the feeding fish exhibits were a hit. Ryan (front desk) gave us great advice on what interactive exhibits to do. Our guide (can’t remember her name, Julie?) was awesome, kind, and gave us great animal facts along the way. Will be back with friends:

Fantastic experience: Ryan, Carey, and Joy made our visit extremely amazing. We had such a nice time and Norcal aquarium is our new go to spot for family outings. I highly recommend this to anyone with little ones. The staff is so great.

Fantastic experience: We are in town for the weekend and saw this as a place to take the kids. For just starting up, this was better than expected with all cared for animals, it's very interactive, the animals know when the treats are coming! Going to try and get in a snorkeling appointment scheduled to experience that. Kids loved it! The only reason we had a wait was there was a school field trip, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: First time at this place. Extremely impressed. Josh, was extremely professional and guided me through the process and I couldn’t believe it was only $5 to get in, per person. Autumn and joy were extremely knowledgeable and helped us learn about some animals and even had fed them we will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: My 8 year old loved taking a tour and the price was awesome. Nina showed us the pythons and gave us so many good facts. My son had to miss field day because of a broken arm and this was a great runner up!

Fantastic experience: We had a nice time walking through and seeing the animals. The tanks were low down so the kids could see all of the fish really clearly. Ryan and Malia were very helpful and answered all of our questions.

Fantastic experience: Very nice experience. Looks like they were bought out by a better company. Signage could be a little better for what we can and can’t pet but overall our Girls loved it. Great variety of animals, never expected to see some silkies. It was a pleasant surprise . I’m excited to see what’s to be added/ renovated in the future.

Positive experience: Came for sea quest, but left beyond excited for norCal Aquarium and Wildlife! It was clean and well run. No more of the fish food machines eating my tokens. And Josh at the front was very helpful in guiding us through the new set up!

Fantastic experience: We are in Folsom, CA for a wedding and we stumbled upon this wonderful gem here. We had the best time and learned so much! We got great pictures! Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! Me and my boyfriend drove 3 hours to here and it was definitely worth it. We petted the animals and fed them. The toucan was the best experience the birds are so gentle and smart. The Walby was super cute and sassy lol. The staff was amazing hands down the best staff I ever seen. I was greeted and felt welcomed instantly. Y’all deserve a raise or employee of the year! I love this place I got the membership definitely will drive the 3 hours just to come and hang out with the animals or the staff but you should Go check it out ❤️

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful time, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Throughout the whole process they were very excited to share information without being intrusive through the experience. They even helped us to get through the process of signing up for yearly passes on our first visit. I would highly recommend families visit and enjoy this attraction. There’s so much to see!!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time here and before I had arrived with my friend, all I was expecting was a small aquarium tanks on walls only and one of those only see and look type of stuff but as soon as I entered in. The person at the front counter had explained everything and was really nice and mentioning mostly everything about this place which was useful because it was my first time here, we can feed them which dose cost, there's a hands on petting fish area that is free as long as you clean your hands but it's a great experience, they also had a small gift shop in the beginning, all of the staff members are very friendly and nice, I would recommend coming her again. This is a five star review from my first experience here.

Positive experience: Chill date idea with spouse with a toddler. Could be more individually interactive with caged up animals to show the our young upcoming youth how to appreciate and show love and care for animals. An idea for management, maybe host a staff meeting to share event ideas to boost sales, engagement, etc.

Fantastic experience: Loved it! I had no idea they had so many exotic and interesting animals in this space. There are a lot of optional opportunities to interact with the animals if you want to pay a little extra for that, but even just seeing all the fish, birds and animals is worth it. The recent renovations are a huge improvement and they have a great promotion going on. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, and Ryan gave my toddler a free little toy on the way out - he was playing with his new slinky and talking about all the big fish he saw all the way home!

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience. They were great with the kids. Took time and explained all the animals and even pulled some out for interactive experiences. Staff members, Ryan, up front, and Daniel, Nina, Jane, Ryan, Ariana, Katie, and Malia in back were really friendly and helped out so much with our group of kids. If you want to do snorkeling, book ahead, everything else do day of for availability.

Fantastic experience: So much fun on our visit! Everyone was super helpful. Ryan and Arianna were awesome at the front desk, we brought 24 people in our group and so kind and patient. Katie by the tanks was so good where the touch pool was. My son was a little timid to touch and she reassured him it was safe and he finally did it. Can’t wait to come back and snorkel!

Fantastic experience: Waaaaay better than SeaQuest. The service was amazing. Ryan is so professional with explaining the costs. The annual pass was a steal, on sale for $15 for the year to visit the cute cabybara babies. I got to do the Doctor Fish for free too. Bailey was very nice and took great care of us and the Doctor Fishes. Malia was awesome with helping us out with understanding the schedule for the experiences.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience. We were in Sacramento for a baseball tournament and trying to find something fun for the kids to do. Josh greeted us when we walked in, helped us understand the different activities. We did the snorkel with stingrays and sharks and it was an unforgettable activity.

Fantastic experience: Really nice place, the staff was really nice and all the animals were really active and feeding the fish was cheap. Stroller friendly as well my sons one and he had so much fun looking around. Will be back again. I recommend coming in with your ticket purchase we bought the year pass for the same price as the day because of a sale.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal customer service from Ryan and we loved getting to interact with animals with Autumn! Our son is 1.5 years old and it takes a lot to keep him entertained but Autumn did a fantastic job showing him a few different species and letting him engage with them. We’re season pass holders now and look forward to spending many days here this summer.

Fantastic experience: This was a great place for my daughter and I to visit. Ryan A was a welcoming face upon entry and Autumn was lovely to chat with while letting us pet the python. This place was bigger then I had expected and in my opinion well worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: We loved coming to the aquarium. They also have other animals like capibaras, sloths, wallabies amongst others. Great experience overall. All of the people working there were super helpful and instructive. We got to touch some of the manta rays and our kids were ecstatic! Oh and also..affordable! Totally worth it!

Fantastic experience: Ryan was very friendly, helped us with signing up. Great person to work the entrance. And help handle the family’s coming in. Fantastic place for kids. Daniel, hand, Ryan , were all fantastic as well. Spent 2 hours here with a 16 month old and he was entertained the whole time. Will be coming back again with the $15 annual pass.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience and got personal interactions with a few of the trainers. All of the staff were friendly and informative. Ryan, Daniel, Hannah, Katie, Priya and Jane all made us feel welcome and answered all our questions!

Fantastic experience: The staff at NorCal Aquarium: Daniel (the Sea Otter trainer), Hanna, Katie, Prya, Jane, and Ryan (front desk master)... they were each so incredibly amazing in their own way. It may not be SeaQuest anymore, but that's OK, because it is better!!!. Better pricing, more interactive, new animals, new and better improvements with so much more promised to come in the near future. Can't wait to go back!!!

Fantastic experience: Ryan greeted us and was extremely kind and made sure we all had a wonderful experience! The animals were all so happy and friendly! Its is pretty rare that we are able to get so close to them at places like this! We were told Daniel takes care of them so he must be doing a great job! Katie helped us pet one of the tortoises and my kids couldn't get enough of that. We will be back for sure, had a really nice time!

Fantastic experience: Ryan was completely accommodating and very kind, while David was in the background making sure all the animals were being well taken care of and had clean enclosures. Katie was kind and told us about the animals and was very friendly. It's clear they are trying to renovate and renew what was once sea quest, but i couldn't recommend the place more.

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful for all ages. You can pet and feed Capybaras, Wallabies, Toucans, and so many more. The staff is all super knowledgeable and over all nice people. Ryan at the front helped check in and buying tickets super easy. Arianna was walking around with a bearded dragon letting people pet it him while sharing information. Malia was with us while we were petting and feeding Wallabies. She was super knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Definitely coming back. AND Super cheap!

Fantastic experience: Katie and Ryan were very polite and welcoming! Ryan intoduced the place to us, answered all our questions and made the check in process very easy. We had an amazing experience here with our toddler and He especially enjoyed feeding the fish! Definitely worth your time, money, and the experience you don't want to miss out on. Would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Genuinely loved this place!!! I wasn't expecting this aquarium to be so big and have a bunch of sharks, as well as other large fish. They also have a bunch of wildlife such as sloths,kangaro, amardillo, and so much more.Its a hidden gem and I'm so glad I found this place! You should definitely visit!! The staff was awesome!!!

Fantastic experience: Our grandkids are visiting from Montana and just loved the whole experience. All of the people who work there are super friendly and helpful! They are really patient with the kiddos and knowledgeable about all the animals!

Fantastic experience: After reading the reviews on yelp for this location formerly known as sea quest I had low expectations and was hesitant to bring my medically fragile clients here. HOWEVER the under the new ownership my clients had a really good time observing and learning about the wildlife in the center. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I will be returning with my own children in the very near future

Fantastic experience: Went during the week. Had a fabulous time. Everyone enjoyed the tour. Lots of interesting fish and animals to see. You can also purchase food to feed some of them. Great pricing for a fun afternoon activity! Ryan was super helpful getting us tickets and explaining everything. Staff ( like Malia ) is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Shark Boi (Ryan) is probably the most exciting person we’ve met. He had all the kids mesmerized with his shark knowledge. Ariana was great showing us all the fun otter things. Fantastic experience: We were exploring our new surroundings since we recently moved to the area and we walked around the Palladio and found this fun place and decided to give it a try. Ryan and Joy made us feel so welcome and well informed on how everything works. Our little one is only 3 months old but he still had fun looking at all the giant fishes, sharks, birds, and more! We got the annual pass and look forward to coming back more so our son can enjoy at every age! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Had a great time here with the kids!There is so much to look at and it’s very clean inside. There are surprisingly a lot of animas to look at. Ryan at the front was amazing and so kind to us. Definitely a place to go with the kids if you’re nearby!

Fantastic experience: Josh and Ryan were great! We had season passes with sea quest and Ryan was patient and answered all our questions before we went inside. He went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of as it was a huge shock considering we just got the season passes. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable in every room.

Fantastic experience: This was the first time me and my 1 year old daughter visited. Ryan greeted us at the front and gave us all the info and made us feel very welcome. At the end of the tour we went to check out and buy a book and Ryan gave it to us for free. I highly recommend visiting here, it’s very interactive you can feed the animals or even go into the exhibits with a staff member. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Had a blast today. Fortunately there was no wait and we were able to interact with all of the animals.Priya was so kind and showed us how they feed the fish. Ryan went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and Bailey showed off the silkie chickens and all her knowledge of the animals. Perfect for 10 and under
