🗣️ Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science: Reviews
Positive experience: Kids had fun but honestly, this place does NOT rank among the best museums in the country. I like writing good reviews, but this museum is just ok. Maybe good. Not great. The aquarium is sad. It’s just a school of fish, an occasional baby shark, a turtle, and a manta ray. Too many of the interactive exhibits are broken or not user friendly. Such a waste of a great location. They could have done something so much better, like the Atlanta Aquarium or the NYC Museum of Science. Instead it’s a mediocre museum in a great location. Your Kids will enjoy, but I’d expect much better for the money and time they spent to build this place. The Planetarium is cool. The rooftop views are awesome. The rest is good to kill time with your kids but just not that great. That’s about it.
Hi Levi, we are sorry to hear that our museum did not meet your expectations. We apologize for the inconvenience while we continue to make improvements across the museum. Nevertheless, we hope you had an opportunity to visit our newest special exhibition, AI: More Than Human.
Fantastic experience: Great science museum! Went with a 2 year old and he had a blast! The multilevel aquarium is great to view. While he was a bit too small to fully understand the hands on exhibits, he still had a ton of fun. The museum has 6 different levels for activities and admission includes a planetarium show. We're multi time visitors coming from Broward and have never been disappointed.
Hi Fareez, we're happy to hear about your time with us. Thank you for coming down to visit us from Broward County.
Fantastic experience: As parents, we’re always on the lookout for places that are fun, educational, and can keep both us and the kids engaged — and the Frost Science Museum delivered on all fronts! What We Loved as Parents: The museum is beautifully designed, clean, and well-organized. The exhibits are modern and interactive, so it didn’t feel like we were just walking around reading signs. The aquarium was a standout — especially the open top level and the giant oculus lens view from below. The planetarium show was breathtaking and a perfect way to wind down mid-visit. We also appreciated the blend of science, nature, and technology. Kid Perspective (Ages 5–10): Our kids were amazed by the touch tanks, where they got to feel starfish and sea urchins. They loved the Feathers to the Stars exhibit where they learned about space and flight through hands-on activities. The light and sound lab was a huge hit too! Everything was so interactive, colorful, and exciting. ️ Food & Amenities: The food court had decent options, though we recommend bringing water and snacks for younger ones. There are shaded areas and plenty of restrooms. Stroller access is good throughout the museum. ️ Pro Tip: Buy tickets online in advance to skip the lines. Try to arrive early — there’s so much to do, and time flies!
Hi Nidhi, thank you so much for your feedback. We are happy to hear you had an amazing time here. We look forward to welcoming you back!
Positive experience: I recently visited the Frost Museum and was a bit underwhelmed by the current AI exhibit. I had hoped for a more engaging, interactive experience. Unfortunately, much of the hands-on technology wasn’t intuitive, and there were no staff members nearby to assist or explain how it worked. My biggest concern, however, is the lack of accessibility throughout the museum. I often visit with my mother, who uses a wheelchair, and we consistently struggle with the heavy doors leading into many of the exhibit spaces. It's surprising that a museum of this caliber has not installed automatic door openers or push-button access for visitors with mobility challenges. Additionally, the planetarium presentations could be more dynamic and engaging. While the aquarium remains a highlight for us, we’ve noticed that some of the younger staff members are not particularly attentive or helpful—they tend to congregate and chat among themselves rather than assist guests. We’ve enjoyed being members, but based on these experiences, we’re unsure if we’ll renew next year. We hope to see improvements in accessibility, exhibit design, and overall customer service.
Hi Faith, thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you can understand as we continue to make improvements across the museum. We look forward to working with our members to provide them the best experience possible.
Fantastic experience: A bit pricey but totally worth it! The exhibits are massive and completely interactive which is great for my hands on son.
Hi Krystle, we are happy to hear you had an amazing time with us! Our museum admission is all inclusive, including the Frost Planetarium and special exhibition! Look forward to welcoming you back.
Fantastic experience: Very fun and interactive museum. I would come back here again if I visit Miami. Loved the interior and exterior design of the museum and all the animals here has been kept in their optimal condition.
Hi Xingchen, we are happy to hear about your experience. Thank you for sharing it!
Fantastic experience: me and my friends love the Dome cinematic group experiences and now they are going immersive with FilmGate Interactive. immersive = you are not just watching a screen… some good suprises A treasure in Downtown Miami
Hi Jose, we hope to see you there!
Positive experience: An amazing educational and interactive science museum! You will be amazed and highly engaged in all the offerings. The activities are family friendly.
Hello Teneicia, thanks for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science offers a stunning blend of science, technology, and marine life. The planetarium shows are captivating, and the aquarium is beautifully designed, offering close-up views of fascinating sea creatures. Exhibits are interactive and educational—great for kids and adults alike. Some sections felt a bit crowded, and a few displays could use updates, but overall the experience was engaging and well worth the visit. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean and modern. It’s a fantastic way to spend a few hours learning and exploring in downtown Miami.
Hi, thanks for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Worth it, regardless of age very educational and informative. My favs were the mummy and mammal exhibition
Hi, thanks for visiting us two years ago. We are glad you enjoyed the experience and hope to see you soon to check out the new exhibitions we have currently!
Negative experience: Ok place but extremely bad vibes and horrible staff. DO NOT GO HERE. The staff RUINS this place and they are so rude. Half of them are kids and the other half are old people and we wanted to do the bubble exhibit thing which takes like five seconds and they said it closed after we waited in line for it for another kid to play with it. Really such a shame how such a nice place is ruined by an atrocious staff will not be back.
Hi Dill, we’re sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. Our guest experience team is dedicated to providing a welcoming and professional experience for all our visitors. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
Fantastic experience: "A unique museum—quirky, interesting, and full of variety. While the exhibits feel a bit unfocused, it’s an overall fun and engaging experience for both kids and adults."
Hello! We are happy to hear you had great time with us. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: U may be of any age but if you enjoy mystery of science , nature and universe...then must visit this place. It is an interactive space and hence the exhibits are more like experience . There are volunteers all around to guide. The planetarium is massive and has multiple shoes. My best was the experience at aquarium. Was left awed. They also have an observatory on top of the roof which give a bird's eye view of Miami city. When you have explored enough and want to relax...chil at the cafe and shop at the outlet they have.
Hi Shalini, thank you for sharing your experience. We look forward to welcoming you back again!
Fantastic experience: Everything about this place is beautiful and detailed… Lovely lovely views. Loads to learn about. Everything is picturesque. Everyone is helpful. Excellent location.
Hello! We are happy to hear about your experience with us. Look forward to welcoming you back again.
Positive experience: 2018 EXPERIENCE An unplanned, over extended stop in Miami is what brought us here as we were out of activity ideas. Let it be known that I am not a fan of museums but enjoyed myself here. Time spent was a little over 4 hours. TICKETS: We purchased them online for the same day at $29/adult that includes unlimited time inside and one show in the planetarium. If you'd like to see more shows, you can purchase tickets at Member Services desk for $7/show. ATMOSPHERE: The complex rises six levels with an attached two-story high planetarium. A food truck and cafe are available along with a rooftop observation deck. Lines and crowds were minimal on this particular Wednesday in June. Signage is poor so definitely take a map, or ask one of the many staff members around. A few school/camp groups were here with a few exhibits overrun with screaming, excited, out-of-control kids but it wasn't too bad, LOL. CHECK IN: For pre-purchased tickets, check in at the kiosk outside of Member Services where a wristband will be issued to you. FOOD AT SCIENCE: Pricey! We got a grilled cheese, tuna melt, tater tots and two soft drinks which rang up at $32. Eat before you come. EXHIBITS: Planetarium (level 1) is a 3D, 8K, domed theater that offers three 20-minute shows. Dynamic Earth, To Space and Back, Asteroid Mission Extreme 3D. Dynamic Earth focused on earth's atmosphere and oceans and how they tie in together to create this magical place we call home. To Space and Back wasn't what I expected as I thought it'd focus on outer space but instead stayed close to earth and its atmosphere. I got a bit dizzy at times due to the camera's movements and stationary objects in my peripheral vision. The Power of Poison (level 1) was a mix of artificial and alive exhibits (including frogs and a tarantula) on everything poison. An interesting feature to me was The Mad Hatter and mercury poisoning exhibit. The Tale of Toxicology live show was a snooze and more for little ones, as was the Me Lass exhibit. Da Vinci Inventions (levels 2 & 3) showcased a lot of hands-on exhibits, replicated props and paintings of the Italian genius. Having seen the real deals in Italy and France, we breezed through the level 3 showing. Aquarium The Deep (level 2, access from either levels 1 or 3 from the inside) featured views of the aquarium from below and live ocean life. Feather to the Stars (level 3) was about flight, from aircraft to birds and dinosaurs, it was more for little ones. Aquarium The Dive (level 3) had several aquariums full of sea life including rays, sharks and jellyfish. Aquarium Royal Caribbean Vista & River of Grass (level 4) was the most interesting to me with live alligators, ducks, birds and fish. Observation Deck (level 6) offered three vantage points of the city and bay, not a 360° view, unfortunately. SERVICE: All staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. OVERALL: We had an interesting time here and learned a few things. Pricey, but what in Miami isn't?
Hello, thank you for visiting us a few years ago. We hope you decide to visit us again in the near future; a lot has changed at the museum since your visit in 2018!
Fantastic experience: One of the best science museum I've been to and will definitely go back if I'm in the area again!
Hi Emily, thank you for visiting us. We look forward to welcoming you back the next time you are in town!
Fantastic experience: We went on a Friday morning after returning from a cruise. There were lots of hands on activities for the whole family covering topics from space to the ocean and birds to dinosaurs. We did not visit the theater during this visit but I could have spent hours watching the beautiful fish tanks form around the world. I would recommend planning at least a few hours to have time to see everything.
Hi Tim, thank you so much for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again in the future.
Fantastic experience: Both my kids loved it here. We spent a few hours doing all the levels. They had some pretty cool interactive displays
Hi Cara, thank you for your feedback! We're happy to hear you had an awesome time exploring all six levels of our museum.
Fantastic experience: First time here and we definitely enjoyed our visit. They have 6 levels with different, unique and interesting exhibits in each level, plus a planetarium and a big aquarium that you can see from lvl 2 to 4, each level from a different perspective. Go visit and you’ll see. The planetarium offers shows every hour which you can reserve ahead of time using their kiosks or simply your phone. Their dining area is located in the 1st level, offering coffee, snacks, pastries, sandwiches and much more. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is in the ground level and it costs $18 per car.
Hello Leidi, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: A very informative and inspirational museum with a wise variety if one particular subject doesn’t interest you. The flight and spacecraft part was particularly moving.
Hi Patrick, indeed! There's always something for anyone curious to learn more about science, technology, and the natural world. Thank you for your feedback and hope you see you again.
Fantastic experience: We have been here several times, and my daughter loves it. The last time we went, unfortunately, they were in between exhibits, and i had really wanted to show my husband the bug exhibit, but we still had a great time.
Hi Nat, so sorry you missed our last special exhibition, BUGS. We rotate twice a year to bring a variety of topics to the audiences and dates are available on our exhibitions page. We hope you can make it back for our new, blockbuster exhibition, AI: More Than Human, open through September 1.
Fantastic experience: Such a fun spot to bring the kids or even if you’re just a curious grown-up. You only pay for parking, then it's all about exploring, learning, and having a blast with nature and science. It’s a great way to spend the day and enjoy something different!
Hi Theresa, we're glad to know you had an awesome time with us! Thank you for your visit and feedback.
Fantastic experience: The Frost Science Museum is a great blend of education and entertainment for both kids and adults. Tons of interesting exhibits—from ocean life and fossils to planetary visuals and interactive science stations. The place is huge, so give yourself time to explore all 5 levels plus the rooftop, which has a great view of the city. Pro tip: buy tickets online to save time. No outside food allowed inside, but there’s a convenient outdoor café with snacks, light meals, and non-alcoholic drinks. Parking is in a connected garage—$18 for the day. If you’ve got extra time after your visit, take a walk in the nearby park. Just watch your step—my wife kept calling the lizards “little gators,” so now that’s what we call them. Great way to spend a half or full day in Miami. Totally recommend it!
Hi Noor, thanks for spending your day with us! Hope to see you back again!
Negative experience: Mediocre exhibit and center. Not properly organized by age or logically with an exhibit flow. Since there isn't an organized flow, families of all ages are wandering through every exhibit, which isn't always age appropriate. I saw infants ripping lights and displays off the the flight exhibits. Better planning and advertising to age groups would provide more sure and allow all age groups to enjoy age appropriate exhibits. The chaos of kids was so intense that I looked on the website and saw that they offered sensory kits for adults and children. This is untrue.
Hi Amber, we are sorry to hear our museum did not meet your expectations. While we aim to engage individuals and families of all ages, we also offer age-appropriate educational programs. Please check out our calendar of events for more information. Additionally, our complimentary sensory toolkit backpacks are available at our front kiosk on a first-come, first-serve basis. We hope to welcome you back for another visit soon.
Negative experience: Could be amazing place except they don’t take care of their animals. Other than the sharks the tanks and fish look sickly. Encountered a bird on display huddled and shaking and dirty with a broken wing. Asked attendant why this animal was out and they had no answers. Enclosure filthy. It is not cheap to go there so they should at least take care of their animals that are making them their money. Can’t reach a human on the phone I will never go back
Hello! We are sorry to hear that the museum did not meet your expectations. We take the care and wellbeing of our animal ambassadors very seriously and have a dedicated husbandry team consisting of biologists and a veterinarian, who monitor the animals closely and see to their daily needs. Some of our animal ambassadors you may have seen have been rehabilitated and deemed non-releasable by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Our education programs offer a great opportunity to learn first-hand about Florida’s wildlife. Please visit frostscience.org/conservation to learn more.
Negative experience: Very boring and not worth the money The Frost Science Museum in Miami was a huge disappointment. If you’re expecting to see a lot of exhibits and interactive experiences, this is definitely not the place. The only interesting part was the aquarium and a very small area with dinosaur bones. The rest of the museum is basically just walking around and reading. That’s it. No engaging displays, no hands-on science activities — just text and more text. Honestly, it felt more like reading a textbook than visiting a museum. To make it worse, parking costs $18, which is ridiculous. Overall, it’s not worth the price at all
Hello, we are sorry the museum did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, we thank you for your visit and your feedback.
Negative experience: This place is a joke. It’s supposed to be a science museum, but it’s really just walls full of outdated text and faded diagrams. There’s zero interaction, nothing hands-on, and most exhibits feel like a cheap school project. It’s boring, uninspired, and honestly kind of sad. What really pissed me off is that they promised a parking discount — total lie. I ended up paying $18 for just two hours, on top of the overpriced tickets. We dropped almost $100 total for what felt like one of the worst experiences in Miami. I walked out feeling like a fool. Don’t waste your time or money here — there are way better places in the city.
Hello, we are sorry the museum did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, we thank you for your visit and your feedback.
Negative experience: I visited the Frost Museum on a Saturday with my wife and child. I didn’t buy tickets online because I had a $5 coupon that could only be redeemed at the ticket booth. When we got to the counter, the staff told me I could only apply the coupon to two tickets on separate transactions—one for my daughter and me, and another separately for my wife, so $10 off not 15! A bit inconvenient, but fine. However, shortly after, my friend arrived with his two daughters. He also had a $5 coupon, and he was able to get $15 off in a single transaction with no issues. It’s not about the money, but it would’ve been nice if the rules were applied consistently for everyone. As for the museum itself—it felt a bit outdated. Several of the interactive exhibits were broken or not functioning properly, which was disappointing. I’ve been to many science museums, and unfortunately, this one didn’t stand out. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially considering the high cost of admission and the $18 parking fee.
Hello Daniel, we apologize for any confusion regarding our $5 off promotion, and would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss your experience. If you would like to provide us with more information about your visit, please reach out to [email protected] and a member of our team will look into it. We thank you for your feedback and your visit, and hope you decide to give the museum another try in the future.
Fantastic experience: The Frost Science Museum in Miami is absolutely amazing! It’s huge and packed with fascinating exhibits for all ages. From the planetarium and aquarium to the hands-on science displays, there’s something exciting around every corner. It’s a perfect place for the whole family to explore—kids and adults alike will find plenty to enjoy and learn from. We easily spent the entire day there and still felt like there was more to see. Highly recommend making this an all-day outing if you’re in Miami. Educational, fun, and well worth the visit!
Hello Rana, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: It was an informative and fun experience. Price was reasonable. It’s great for any one of all ages. We were in a hurry and only spent about an hour or so there, but I recommend a couple hours at-least. It’s much like an aquarium, though it is a research facility, It appears well maintained. A couple highlights were watching them feed the sharks and seeing the fish from down below the water line. The only annoyance was the security guard on duty when walking through the metal detector was a jerk. Passed that point. Everything was great for me.
Hello Jenny, we thank you for your visit and your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Negative experience: Not worth the money at all! There weren't many interactive play. Many of the exhibits were just information. $30 per person for boring stuff tou read off the wall. $18 for parking 1 car!!! $70 for 2 burgers and 2 orders of chicken strips and fries. Super expensive food. The way the museum is built is very inefficient. You have so much space in between exhibits. You enter, exit and walk a lot to get to each exhibit. Not ideal for kids. So much wasted space. Only good thing was the clean bathrooms. We spent about $200 and felt it was absolutely not worth it.
Hi Priya, we're sorry to hear your visit didn’t meet your expectations. We hope you had a chance to explore the Frost Planetarium shows and enjoyed some of our hands-on, interactive exhibits, including those featuring our aquarium animals.
Fantastic experience: The museum was really interesting! I started my visit at the planetarium right at the entrance, and the "Dynamic Earth" show was definitely something different from the usual. The building has six floors filled with marine animals like seahorses, jellyfish, manta rays, and sharks — a big hit with younger kids. Other than that, I’d say it’s more of a place for older kids or adults. Parking costs $18, but you can easily get there using the Metrorail too. You can also combine your museum trip with a walk to the nearby dog park or Bayside Marketplace, both within walking distance. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone who loves science!
Hi Karenia, sounds like you had a lovely time exploring our museum campus and checking out the area. We hope to see you back again!
Fantastic experience: Super cool museum, educational, interactive and interesting for all ages. I highly recommend it
Hello Bertrand, thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We look forward to having you back again.
Fantastic experience: Super cool place to hang out with kids—or even if you’re just a curious adult. It’s one of those spots where you learn and have fun at the same time. You just pay for parking (not too bad), and then it’s all about exploring, playing, and soaking in cool stuff about nature and science. Definitely a fun day out
Hi, Regla, we are happy you learned and had fun at the same time while exploring our various exhibits!
Negative experience: One visit is more than enough. The architecture of the building is central to the museum. While the exhibits are secondary. For example the exhibits are split among various parts that are time consuming (waiting for elevators) entering and exiting different parts of the building. The clientele is mainly children, strollers, moms, grandparents accompanying the children which rely on the elevators. Anyhow, the exhibits are too few and non-engaging. The plus is the planetarium and large aquarium. The bug exhibits were non engaging. Besides that it’s not worth the drive to traffic Miami, high entrance fee and parking fee. I give it a 2 out of ten.
Hi, Pesach, we’re sorry to hear we didn’t meet your expectations and apologize for the wait time with the elevators. Our museum spans five levels, and we recommend visitors spend at least two hours exploring. We hope you’ll give us another chance during our next traveling exhibition.
Negative experience: Honestly, it wasn’t what my boyfriend and I were expecting. Not a lot of animals to see. Fishes, a few snakes, maybe a turtle, but no alligators, sharks, or other wildlife animals. I was very disappointed when we went into the bugs area, because we were expecting real life bugs but it was all fake and there are no vending machines anywhere, I was very thirsty. At least two elevators were broken so we had no choice but to use stairs! Insane it’s too hot in Miami I think they should work on creating better things for the family and kids to enjoy, like real bugs, sharks, turtles, and alligators. The planetarium was the only good thing about this trip, very cool to learn about the Earth and its environment.
Hi, Yessie, we're sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet your expectations. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by two of the four elevators being out of service during your time here. We’d love for you to visit again and explore the aviary area in The Vista on Level 4, where you can discover some of the incredible wildlife from the Everglades. Our Gulf Stream exhibit in the aquarium building features a scalloped hammerhead shark, a sandbar shark, and a resident sea turtle! Nevertheless, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed the Frost Planetarium shows and hope you’ll consider coming back again.
Fantastic experience: Came here when my husband on a whim when we had an extra day in Miami. We bought tickets ahead online and had no wait. This is one of the larger science centers around North America I’ve been too. The planetarium was larger than others and had updated shows. You get a traveling exhibit, aquarium, aviary, and planetarium all in one. Also a large amount of dining options. Would absolutely come back here.
Thanks for your feedback, Sidney! We're thrilled to be part of your science museum adventures and that you got to experience everything we have to offer, especially our new Frost Planetarium shows!
Fantastic experience: What a great experience! Lots of interesting and informative displays. We enjoyed walking the dog and cat garden afterwards. Lots of families having fun. Upstairs view was amazing of the bay with all the big cruise ships. The fish aquariums were our favorite.
Hello Cheryl, thank you for visiting us. e are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: Can easily spend an entire day there, so much to see, but it is definitely aimed more towards the school trips than a group of adults. Big attraction was the planetarium, which was closed on the day we went, but with no notification on the website, and no discount in ticket prices. Bit of a let down. Tried to book a laser show via the website, but forces you to make an account or sign in with Facebook, so I did all that, and then it gave some unspecified error and refused to let me continue, so just gave up.
Hello Mike, thank you for your visit and your feedback. If you would like to reserve laser evening tickets in the future, you can do so directly through our website with no need to create an account. We hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Such a gorgeous museum, its clean and exhibits are well kept. Definitely recommend.
Hi Eddie, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: We had an amazing day at the Frost Museum! The aquarium area was absolutely stunning, with some of the most beautiful tanks I've ever seen, both big and small. The exhibits were engaging, and the information provided was super interesting, highly recommend!
Hi Robin, we are glad you enjoyed our aquariums and exhibitions! We hope you discovered new fascinating science facts along the way.
Fantastic experience: Took my family here. Amazing place to visit! Easy parking. Beautiful architecture and design. And great things to see and view throughout the numerous levels The art museum next door adds an extra touch!
Hi Gloria, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your visit at Frost Science and took advantage of visiting our neighbors at PAMM.
Fantastic experience: Good place to spend your time with friends and family. Many excellent exhibitions will be interesting for children to figure out something new about this world.
Hi, thank you for your feedback! There is certainly something new to explore our world at our museum, especially with our rotating special exhibitions.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved the museum my favourite part was seeing the seahorse I was absolutely mesmerized! So many interesting things to see and so many interactive activities and orices were decent. Also enjoyed looking at the painted dog art on the way out. I Would recommend.
Hi Lori, we appreciate your feedback and glad you enjoyed watching marine life in our aquarium building.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend all schools to hire their Community Engagement team to visit their school classrooms. They efficiently designed our "outreach experience" with an outstanding presentation and hands-on activity for our school's entomology unit. The team is very knowledgeable, interactive, and kind. Our students learnt a lot from them and were engaged and excited to work with them. Such a great experience, thank you so much!
Hi Andrea, we appreciate the wonderful feedback of our education staff for your school's dedicated outreach. We look forward to offering more opportunities in the future.
Fantastic experience: Getting so excited about this museum – it’s perfect for both kids and adults. Even when it’s busy, the place still feels so peaceful.
Hi Olga, thank you for your feedback and happy to hear you found enjoyed your visit.
Fantastic experience: A unique museum with something for everyone. Our favorite was the 4-5 level aquarium. There was no issues bringing in outside water. Recommend for ages 6 and up. Parking was $18. Doors are not handicap accessible and the elevators can be a long wait.
Hi Kate, we appreciate your feedback and glad to hear you had a pleasant time despite the elevator wait and doors entries.
Positive experience: A bit pricey but the experience was great. Truly enjoyed it. Food court was a but expensive. Easy parking... for a fee.... exhibits were great
Hello Michele, thank you for visiting us, and for your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Amazing. I've been to many museums in many parts of the map... this was unlike any other.
Hi Chris, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your visit! Thanks for your feedback.
Fantastic experience: We came here to go to the aquarium, as something to do in Miami before a cruise. We loved this place! It was a fantastic place, there was so much beautiful aquatic life to see. The snack food area was also really good, and a great value for what you get. Chicken tenders and fries were very tasty and hot, and the Miami bowl was also very good. This was definitely a highlight of our trip here.
Hi Amber, we are glad to hear you dropped by before your cruise. Thank you for your feedback and hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip in Miami.
Positive experience: Loved it. A huge variety of different activities and exhibitions perfect for adults and children. Staff were really nice and helped with finding our way to the many exhibitions. Food was good just a little expensive. Overall a great experience for families with children.
Hello, we thank you for your visit and your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Negative experience: Waste of money. They can’t even call themselves a museum. Garbage “exhibits” everything is fake. Fish part is cool but they spent more on designing a cool fish tank then what’s in it. Any other aquarium is blows this out of the water. And it’s not a museum… rating this one 3 trashcans. The big part…. Wtf was that. The top 2 floors had Nothing. We had fake dinosaur bones. 4th floor was pretty good. 1 out of 6 floors was worth it. And $30 a person. What a joke.
Hello Adam, we are sorry to hear the museum did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, we thank you for your visit and your feedback.
Positive experience: The museum was great!! There was definitely a lot to experience!! My only problem was security. I seen no security guards or cops anywhere for it to be a place for kids and families. Not to mention I was harassed by some random dude walking from my car with my wife. This is why people get hurt, because if he would have came at me, my wife and grandchild, I was not the one that was going to end up hurt or dead. Then you have a bunch of ignorant people hanging out right outside the entrance where kids are playing. Frost museum owners, you need to do better. All that money families pay to not feel secure and protected, big no no.
Hello, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the museum, but we regret that you did not feel secure during your visit. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests is a top priority. We would like to assure you that our security team actively patrols all six floors of the museum. In addition, our galleries are continuously monitored via CCTV to ensure that any incidents are promptly addressed. We thank you for your feedback and will continue to evaluate and enhance our security measures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Fantastic experience: Lots of fun. You get to see tons of sea animals up close, and the flight-centric exhibit was really interactive. Good amount of stuff without taking all day to explore, too!
Hello Cayla, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: We had the BEST day at the Frost Museum! Mostly we stayed in the aquarium area and it was incredible. Engaging exhibits, some of the most beautiful aquariums I have seen in my life- both the massive ones and the small ones. Lots of really great labeling and interesting information. Highly recommend!
Hello Frances, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: Small and easy to get around! Loved how it was indoor outdoor. Loved the bug exhibition. Felt very modern.
Hello Lisa, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Very interesting museum. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. 5 floors of exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and amazing views of the Miami port and downtown. Make sure you reserve a seat on one of the planetarium's shows. My favorite part was the dinosaure fossil laboratory. Seen first hand the long and tedious process of uncovering fossils was a first for me. It's definitely a most for families if you are in the Miami area.
Hello Ahmed, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: This place is a good way to spend an afternoon but there's nothing special about the exhibits here. The animals are standard along with the science exhibits. The planetarium show about bugs was eh. Too much talking and did not deliver on the immersive experience we we're hoping for. One visit is enough.
Hello John, we are sorry the museum did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, we thank you for your visit.
Negative experience: I’ve been here several times and I always come back because I enjoy the experience. This time it was different. The water in the main aquarium was very cloudy which made it impossible to see the animals clearly. Additionally, in the interactive part where you can touch the rays there used to be a large number and now there are only TWO rays. Impossible to touch them or have any experience. We really liked the bug part. For that reason alone we give our experience at least two stars.
Hello Michelle, we are sorry to hear the museum did not meet your expectations. Our Gulf Stream aquarium is designed to mimic the open ocean, and uses water from our own Biscayne Bay. Just like the bay, our algae levels ebb and flow naturally with the weather. Nevertheless, we thank you for your visit and hope you decide to give us another chance in the future.
Fantastic experience: Excellent place to spend a day with family. There's something for all ages, including discovery areas, play zones, animals, shopping, and stunning architectural views. @ksyfate
Hello Oksana, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: It's cute , they had different animals, even sharks, they had a little space speech, they had a place to eat , a store to buy little things, parking was $18 flat. They have a beautiful garden , just make sure to keep your bracelet on to walk back in. Very peaceful, a place you can spend the whole day with your kids or grandkids.
Hello Diana, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: This is a great museum in Miami. Lots of things to see and do. Interactive stuff for the kids and the grown ups as well. They are changing some of the collections frequently. The aquarium with the oculus reef is amazing. Uou can touch the stingrays in the 5th floor, where they also have birds, snakes, crocodiles, owls and more. Plenty of options in the restaurant side to choose from, with kids favorites like pizza, mac&cheese, chicken tenders and lots of options for everyone as well. The gift shop is a little pricey but you can always find some goodies. Really recommend to become a member. They have several levels of memberships, and my kid loves to go there like every other week or at least once a month, really worth it if you go regularly.
Hi Ricardo, thank you for continued support as a member. We look forward to seeing you and your aspiring scientist again soon.
Fantastic experience: The aquarium is the star of the show here, definitely worth the price of entry
Hi Connor, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: Really expensive for what it has to offer, it’s not bad but not many exhibits. The best thing was the planetarium and the bugs. It’s also nice that the dogs and cats walk is right beside if you need to wait for the planetarium show you register for.
Hello Ivette, we thank you for your visit and your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the Frost Planetarium and Bugs, and hope to see you again in the future.
Fantastic experience: This was an outstanding Science museum that I really enjoyed. The displays were educational and interesting on a variety of topics about dinosaurs, birds and flight, marine life, coral reefs, aquariums and scientific research and discoveries. One of the aquariums was unusual in that you could look at the top of it from 4th floor and go underneath and look at it from the first floor. Looking at from underneath is a very unusual and different view. As move between exhibits the view of the city from the outside walkways is spectacular.
Hello Holly, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to welcome you back soon.
Fantastic experience: A wonderful, enchanting, and educational journey. Great family fun for all ages
Hello Jody-Ann, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Worth visiting. It’s more for kids and not so much for adults I would say. We went to the museum when it was raining and we had a decide an indoor place for our 9 year old. There are many good exhibits. Planetarium was really awesome. Rooftop viewpoints of skyline is simply awesome.
Hello, thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear that you and your young scientist enjoyed your experience, and hope to welcome you back soon.
Fantastic experience: Loved it! We arrived early on a Sunday morning to plenty of parking and no crowds. The first thing we did was to reserve the 1:30 live planetarium show because it fills up fast. We took our time exploring the 5 floors and all the exhibits. I especially liked the Coral Research Lab and "Feathers to Flight" exhibit, and of course the aquariums. We had Lunch in the little cafe and it was very good. The Live Planetarium show was excellent and the presenter very engaging. When we left it was getting quite crowded so come early. A must do for Kids!
Hello Rachel, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. We thank you for your visit and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: I brought my mother and two boys, aged 9 and 12 to Frost Science during a family visit to Miami which is also my home town. Frost Science is a wonderful resource to learn about South Florida nature, both underwater and top side. Since my last visit two years ago the facility has expanded its content while the user experience remains top notch. I particularly enjoyed the new Reef Florida exhibit which combines cutting edge science with lots of ideas on how regular citizens can get involved. MUVE is an awesome project. I look forward to going back.
Hello Fernando, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Came in on a weekend, and everything ran smoothly. Barely any lines and there was parking. Was able to see all the exhibits, and the staff were pretty friendly and polite. We went to get coffee and of the cafeteria staff was repeatedly telling guests that "God loves them" and even to the kids. We found it pretty awkward that he would be telling that to people given the nature of the museum. But we just agreed and moved on with our day.
Hello, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the museum. We have shared this review with our management team and they are investigating your experience in the cafe. If you would like to share any further details, please reach out to [email protected]. We thank you for your visit and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: The Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science is an engaging and modern science center perfect for all ages. Highlights include the stunning planetarium, interactive exhibits, and the multi-level aquarium that offers a mesmerizing view of marine life. It's both educational and entertaining, making it ideal for families and curious minds. The rooftop terrace provides beautiful views of Miami. While admission can be a bit expensive, the experience is well worth it for science enthusiasts!
Hello, we thank you for your visit and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: This is a really nice Museum. There are 5 floors with very different exhibits and a roof with a great view of the city. The planetarium show happens at specific times. It's pretty long and it comes with the ticket. I think it's really worth it to check this place out.
Hello Erik, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Great science museum in a very convenient location. Stopped by after getting off of a cruise and this was a great place to spend time before my flight home (and they stored my bags!) Has a great planetarium, exhibit about flight and space, and a really cool aquarium tank. Definitely worth a visit!
Hello Sam, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. Thank for visiting us. We hope to see you again the next time you are in town.
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! We were in town for a couple days and were looking for somewhere our 8 year old would enjoy. I didn't expect we would enjoy it as much as she did! We spent hours exploring the various exhibits. I would definitely recommend spending a day here.
Hello Ben, thank you for visiting us during your visit to Miami. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you the next time you are back in town.
Fantastic experience: The Frost Science Museum is a really great place to visit if you’re vacationing at Miami. There’s a lot of different interactive exhibits, like a stingray touch tank, a planetarium, an aviary and more. The museum is very well kept, and there’s no lines to any of the attractions.
Hi Jake, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. Thank you for choosing to visit us during your vacation. We hope to see you again the next time you are in Miami!
Negative experience: Expensive and very Disappointing Experience at the Miami Science Museum. I have just visited the Miami Science Museum, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Difficult to understand the positive reviews since it’s hard to reconcile the glowing reviews I’ve read on Google with my own experience, especially from the perspective of someone expecting a museum to provide something more educational than a theme park. While some visitors may appreciate the flashy attractions and kid-friendly features, those looking for a thought-provoking, informative experience will likely be left disappointed. The lack of substantive educational content and the overemphasis on entertainment make it difficult to see how this place lives up to the standards of a proper science museum. The place felt completely devoid of meaningful content, with a massive structure that seemed more like a poorly executed children’s theme park than an educational institution. The aquariums were far from impressive. However, the worst part of the visit was undoubtedly the aviary. It was noisy, overcrowded with visitors, and, most concerning, the birds were housed in an environment that seemed far from suitable for their well-being. Overall, this museum falls far short of expectations, especially for anyone looking for an enriching, educational experience. It’s a missed opportunity for what could have been an inspiring science center. One of the most frustrating aspects of our visit was that, after paying for admission and entering the facility, we were informed that we couldn’t access the planetarium because it was fully booked and unable to accommodate more visitors. This is completely unacceptable. Visitors should be informed of such limitations before purchasing tickets, not after they’ve already committed to the experience. It’s a clear failure in organization and transparency, leaving a sour taste for what should have been a highlight of the visit.
Hello Gonzalo, we are sorry to hear the museum did not meet your expectations. If you would like to share any further feedback and hear from one of our team members, please reach out to [email protected]. We thank you for your visit.
Positive experience: This place has reefs and a variety of tropical fish. Plus sharks and mantas are great to see. It’s worth checking out, but it’s not very large. The one sky show was just okay. If you’re looking to see a wider range of sea animals, Orlando SeaWorld is a much better option.
Hello Haochen, we thank you for your visit and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: We had an Art Basel event to go to that was being held at the Planetarium at the Frost Museum. It was being presented by FilmGate Miami and was awesome! So colorful, intriguing, and inspiring! I felt like I was back at the Sphere in LV. Wonderful exhibit! Great talent behind this work. The Planetarium has its own entrance/exit at the Museum. There is an elevator to take you up to the second floor. You then present your ticket for entrance. Once inside, it becomes another world. Vivid, colorful films of various subjects made by local talented filmmakers were shown. The audience was seated on a raised platform much like a movie theater in comfortable seats. This artistic presention was well worth seeing!
Hi Astrida, we thank you for your visit and hope to see you again soon!
Fantastic experience: We had a great time, and my little monster had a blast! The only thing I would say is that the cost for food is crazy so come ready.
Hello Christopher, thank you for visiting us with your aspiring scientist! We are glad to hear you both enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time! I felt like a kid on an adventure! It's a must experience especially if you love science and animals! Definitely good for a date as well! Family friendly ✨
Hello, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. We thank you for visiting the museum and hope to see you again soon.
Positive experience: They had a varied selection of exhibits. There was a private event at the planetarium so we didn't get to experience that. Great place to bring kids. There was a lot of interactive exhibits. They also have a hammerhead shark... That was cool.
Hello Rebecca, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: I came here with my friends and it was an amazing experience. Really recommend for the couples who like to wind down.
Hello Alexandra, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Awesome place for all the ages! My friend and I were very excited after watching a 20 min long movie about black holes. Aquariums are also beautiful
Hello Diana, thanks for visiting us. We hope to see you and your friend again soon.
Fantastic experience: This museum is VERY hands on. From petting sting rays to interacting with all the hands on activities. It’s 5 levels of fun. My favorite part was definitely floors 4 and 5 where I could see just about all of Miami! Be sure to check out the planetarium too!
Hello Devin, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. We hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Very detailed museum! Wow! I got used that museums are boring. This one is the first museum which was really interacting for both me and my 8 year old. They have: space theme Marine life And science halls They have planetarium and the simulation of the international space station that rotates great experience. I Recommend to reserve 3 hours for attentive exploration. Appropriate ages: 2- 15
Hello Ann, we are glad to hear it! Thank you for visiting us. We hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: This museum is fantastic for both visitors and residents. The planetarium show, despite the slight additional charge, is excellent. Phenomenal vantage points of Miami's skyline and port are offered from the top floor. I would wholeheartedly suggest this as an activity to engage children on a rainy day, given that most of the premises are under cover.
Hello Jennifer, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon. We did want to note that shows at the Frost Planetarium are included with the price of admission.
Fantastic experience: Amazing museum. Science education done really well, accessible for all ages and interest. Visited on a Sunday at opening time, but it soon got quite busy. The staff are all around and very helpful and good at explaining the various exhibits. Can easily spend 4-6 hours here.
Hello Asif, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. We hope to welcome you back soon.
Positive experience: We took a day trip from Orlando exclusively to go and see this science center. My child loves space and aquariums and this place had amazing reviews. It was worth every moment. The space exploration area was fantastic and engaging as was the floors of sea life. I will say that the only part of the center that I was upset about was the elevators. Of the four, only 2 worked. One had a telephone ringing in it all day and when you tried to go to a floor, it took you to the roof and trapped you there. We got stuck there for about 15 minutes today. It finally took us down 2 floors. The elevators need to be fixed immediately. Many guests got trapped in that elevator on the roof while we were visiting.
Hello Keith, thank you for making the trip down from Orlando to visit us! We’re sorry about the issues you experienced with our elevators. We shared your review with our senior leadership team and repairs are being made. We are glad to hear that you otherwise enjoyed the museum and hope to see you again. Thank you again for your visit and your feedback.
Fantastic experience: Great experience for the family. Plenty of activities to keep the children entertained and learn. There’s multiple levels and amazing views of Miami. The kids enjoyed the pizza and wanted more. Can’t wait to take my kids back here.
Hello Kay, thank you for visiting the museum with your aspiring scientists. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Positive experience: Lots of shows and attractions for kids. For my soon, the coolest part was the aquarium that had several types of fishes but mainly due the sharks in there. Two white sharks and one hammer head. Kids get hypnotized. Prepare for at least half a day to see everything. There are plenty of restrooms and infrastructure is good, offering a coffee shop as well. Very entertaining for kids of all ages, but especially from 5+. Not a lot to see for adults tho. Also, plenty of paid parking available.
Hello Fabricio, thank you for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you and your son had a great time and hope to see you both again soon.
Positive experience: Had higher expectations but it was good for a one time visit kids liked it and had fun. Most attractions are outside and the ones inside feel small. If you visit I'd start in the 5th floor and work your way down.
Hello Jose, we thank you for your visit and are glad you enjoyed your experience.
Positive experience: Checked out the museums adults-only experience and had a lot of fun. It was a great date night! We got to explore the new exhibition while getting to roam the entire museum. They offer this each quarter + they passed out discounted parking vouchers which was nice.
Hello, thank you for attending nightLAB: Space Odyssey. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you at the next one!
Fantastic experience: This is the best Museum in Miami. It has a lot of things to do for the kids and even the adults. The Planetarium is amazing, my kids loved it. The Aquarium is nicely designed in 3 different levels just like the Sea (the surface, underwater and deep sea), it is a nice viewpoint. They also have a simulator for the international space station that was really fun. The Museum has a beautiful views of the port of Miami and lots of other exhibitions about science and Sea life preservation. It was a really good trip for the kids
Hello Alain, thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your visit, and hope to see you again soon.
Negative experience: I don’t know if it’s because it is summer but the whole museum looked unkept and the fish tanks looked absolutely horrible. I feel really bad for the animals it used to be cleaner also they seem depressed. Also it was filled with people and kids so I couldn’t enjoy it. Probably went on a busy day but still , the tanks looked old and unkept
Hello Zoe-Maria, thank you for your visit and for your feedback. Our animal husbandry team works hard to manage the aquarium exhibits, particularly when dealing with seasonal algae blooms, but we have shared your review with them so that they’re aware of the comments we’ve received and take any necessary steps needed to ensure the exhibits look they’re best. With that in mind, we would like to reassure you that we take the care and wellbeing of the animals very seriously. Our team husbandry team includes marine biologists and a veterinarian who oversee the care of the animals closely.
Fantastic experience: This museum is awesome for the kiddos. We can spend the whole day here. 5 lvls of different things to do and see. The best part is the Oculus. You get to see all the fish, sharks, and sting rays swimming above you thru a 31-foot glass dom. Pretty neat science museum with a mix of a aquarium. It's definitely worth checking out and spending a day. We will definitely be back onces kiddos are older to let them experience it at a different age.
Hey Mike, thanks for sharing! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Fantastic experience: I have been to a lot of museums and exhibits throughout my education, free time, and as a teacher. The Boston museum of science and the Miami Frost Museum are tied in my mind for best science museums. The Miami frost museum has things to entertain adults and children. The learning opportunities are endless: between space, ocean, and aviary experiences, the basic admission is enough to entertain anyone for hours. I wish I had seen a planetarium show/any of the special shows: but it was worth it none the less. All descriptions are in Spanish and English
Hi Taylor, thank you for visiting us and for the kind words. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: As for being a museum member, I still LOVE coming here over and over again. Clean, well-lit space to showcase wonderful exhibits, and the aquarium is gorgeous. I never tire coming here and always find peaceful relaxation when I visit.
Hi Crystal, we're glad to hear you love visiting us regularly. Thank you for being a Frost Science member!
Fantastic experience: A must see in Miami! You could spend hours here exploring everything they have to offer. Whether you’re interested in outer space or the sea, there’s something for everyone. Tickets were $30 online, and parking in the garage is $18. I recommend arriving early to park easily and get through the entry. Buying tickets online is the way to go for fast check in. You also get a planetarium show included with your ticket! I don’t want to give too much away, but the pictures don’t do it justice.
Thanks Maddie, we appreciate your kind feedback and your visit!
Fantastic experience: Our day at the Frost Museum of Science was incredible. Highlights included a captivating planetarium show, an impressive aquarium showcasing sharks, sting rays and other marine life, the educational FPL solar terrace, and an engaging journey to space exhibit. My daughter loved every part of it, and we easily coud of spent the whole day exploring together.
Thanks Demar! We are glad to hear that you and your daughter enjoyed your experience and hope to see you both again soon.
Fantastic experience: This museum is a must-visit, especially for families! It is a bit expensive though. The exhibits are interesting, great for sparking curiosity in kids of all ages. The planetarium is a real highlight - I highly recommend starting your visit there for an immersive experience.
Hi Karoline, thanks for visiting the museum. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience.
