Jenkinson's Boardwalk

Fantastic experience: Aquarium is fabulous. Whole boardwalk is a fun way for everyone in the family to find things to enjoy including mini golf, fun house, and arcade.

Positive experience: The beach and boardwalk were fun. Went on a Wednesday, and the lady doing admission told me the beach would be closing in 15 and that admission would be free in 20min. I asked her if that meant you couldn't swim at all? And she replied saying that's when the lifeguards go off duty, so it would be swim at your own risk. So i just paid since i was meeting people and really wanted to swim. The lifeguards did end up closing but they wouldnt let anyome swim at all past like 5:30 and they kept kicking people out of the water. Which was very dissapointing and i talked to the security life guard there and told them what the lady at admission said to me and they called me a liar. And that she wasn't supposed to tell me that at all. So that was very dissapointing and i wouldnt have paid to go had i know and if she had told me that in the beginning. I loved jekinsons as a kid but that was a terrible experience and a first time experience for some of my friends. I domt think they would ever go again. And they should really talk to whoever was working that admissions booth.

Positive experience: Yes it’s fun and full of excitement. The rides are easy to get on without waiting. They have plenty of rides and the fun never ends. The kids love it!! Food is fast, I just wish they had healthy choices, like no sugar options and salads or fruit and nuts!

Positive experience: Nice boardwalk, not too busy, easy to Park for free a couple of blocks from the beach, good activities for kids.

Fantastic experience: Nice place for all! This place is nice before the beach. Many rides to choose from good place is you have children they would love it. You need to buy a card for the rides. Each ride cost 6 credit. Minimum credit for a card is 25 credit, $25.

Fantastic experience: First time in point plesant. HAD NO IDEA they had an amusement park (so yes there are rides and games), miniature golf, aquarium, arcades, etc. Ill definitely be back. I had a great time

Fantastic experience: I’m a Jersey girl born and raised there, now live in Florida. It’s always a delight to visit this place. It brings back the most pleasant memories of my childhood. It’s always clean, no problems there with people, always great vibes in the air. Any restaurant you eat at has amazing food.

Fantastic experience: Very nice boardwalk, carnival type activities and food, as well as dine in restaurants and mini gulf, there is also an aquarium! The beach is clean and monitored very well, there are quite a few rules, check before you go. Lifeguards on the beach and in boats. Every kind of ice cream you could want! Bring cash, the places that took cards were having connection issues today. No smoking anywhere on the boardwalk. Easy to spend the whole day! Bring water and sunscreen!

Positive experience: Came a late night with the kids, spent about 3 hours and it was enough. The kids enjoyed the rides and the arcade. Definitely one of the more family friendly boardwalks. I would come again.

Fantastic experience: Went to Canines and Cocktails at Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant and had a great time! Every Tuesday from 5:00 to 9:00! The pups brought their human handlers and had a blast! Everyone behaved so well, including the Pawrents! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I grew up going to Jenkinsons, now I bring my kids to Jenkinsons. Very family friendly. Great deals on certain days. Offer something for everyone. I love the different events they offer. Make sure to take advantage of there BOGO $50 ride card during Easter weekend. It's the best deal around!

Positive experience: Very nice boardwalk with lot of options to eat and drink, but teenagers are wild, vomiting on streets, yelling at each other. I was this age in the past and I understand the excitement but definitely not my kind of beach. No peace/relax at all lol

Fantastic experience: If you want Seaside Heights vibes but don't want Seaside Heights crime and shenanigans, come to Jenkinsons. There's something for everybody here.

Fantastic experience: Spent Memorial Day at Point Pleasant Beach and Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, and honestly, it was one of the best weekend escapes I’ve had in a while. The beach was absolutely packed as expected for a holiday, but that just added to the lively, festive atmosphere. The boardwalk had everything you’d want: fun rides, great food stalls, and an overall vibrant vibe. There were plenty of options when it came to food, from classic American bites to Italian and seafood spots. A few beachside restro-bars also offered chill hangout spaces with a great view of the ocean. Parking was a bit of a challenge during peak hours, but with some patience, you’ll either find free street parking or opt for one of the several paid lots around the area. The staff, including lifeguards and security, were super attentive and made sure everyone was having a safe time. It’s also very family- and kid-friendly—I saw tons of families and kids genuinely enjoying themselves. Heads-up: the main beachfront access is paid, but it’s reasonably priced and well-maintained, so I’d say it’s worth it. All in all, a great spot if you’re looking for a fun and relaxing weekend with friends or family. Would definitely go back!

Negative experience: I went on the rides this past Sunday with my three daughters. I spent $200 on tickets for rides the kids were $50 each and I was forced to buy my self tickets because they would not let me accompany my 4-year-old on rides that I needed to be with her on without having my own tickets for the ride. This is unbelievable. I don't feel it's right I should have to pay to be on the ride when accompanying my 4-year-old. Extremely overpriced. Most of the employees running the rides spoke zero English. When I took my daughters to the bathroom both toilets were clogged and unusable and disgusting. There was urine and feces all over the toilets and the floor. Where is all that money going? Clearly not into maintenance. And many of the rides were closed due to no workers to run them

Fantastic experience: Clean and Family Friendly , highly recommended. It’s not the biggest boardwalk at the Jersey Shore by any stretch. But it certainly beats the gentrification zones of Long Branch. The area has just enough entertainment value for your young family. In addition there is some really good pizza as well.

Negative experience: I thought I would go to this boardwalk to get a sandwich and some sunshine and a fresh stroll... I made the mistake of bringing my 6 lb dog. This place doesn't allow a whole lot of things, so make sure you're prepared for a very restrictive location if you visit here.

Fantastic experience: One of the best amusement parks I’ve been to yet. It was 1.5 hour drive from my house but totally worth the drive! My daughter and her friends all had fun!

Fantastic experience: Great family visit to Point Pleasant beach and Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. Got our feet in the sand for the first time in 2025, played in the arcade, visited the Jenkinsons Aquarium and of course had Kohr Brothers ice cream. Great early season visit to one of our favorite spots!

Fantastic experience: Jenkinson’s Boardwalk is honestly one of the nicest I’ve been to in a while. It’s clean, the area and people are great, and there are tons of things to do. My family and I went to the aquarium, the funhouse, and the arcade right in front—all wonderful experiences. There are plenty of food options, and there’s even a Mr. Softee’s for some delicious ice cream. The beach stretches forever, and the waves are actually really good here.

Positive experience: It was good weather wasn’t too hot in late April, Easter parade. I’m not a board walk fan. Lots of expensive low grade food, noise and crowds. The kids rides ticket readers stopped working properly, but children had fun anyways. Fun house wasn’t great, not worth price. The Aquarium is top notch, we were members of Baltimore and have high standards. Didn’t play any games, but Easter weekend had a good discounted deal. Lots of police doing their security too seriously maybe, so it is a safe environment for kids.

Fantastic experience: Best for your buck. Their arcades are updated, fast, interesting and intuitive. Half price from 3 to 5 P. M.

Positive experience: Went for the Easter bonnet competition— very fun! But the beach is expensive and parking can be tricky. Plan ahead! But there’s a lot to do and good for families.

Fantastic experience: Just purchased a couple of 2 for one cards. Thinking about the costs of things today, it is cheaper than going to Disney..!! A great boardwalk, ocean, food, ride park, within a great safe town. So you come it may seem a little to expensive but in the realm of things it ‘s probably cheaper then going to Disney ,and spending 5,000.00 or 10,000.00. Please you’ll come and enjoy the experience, activities and family fun. John

Fantastic experience: Went to Martells tiki bar and the food, drink and service was excellent. Then went to the fudge shop and got great chocolate and great service. A little pricy but good

Fantastic experience: Although it was a little chilly the board walk was full of young families with their children enjoying the rides arcades and games. However since the attractions are on the expensive side due to governor Murphy and his policies we just flew our amazing kite and watched others enjoy.

Positive experience: Lots of fun, we visited on Friday night and if I remember visiting after 5 pm gives u a discounted pass for unlimited rides. There are many rides that kids above 18 months can enjoy and very good rides for adults as well. Only thing is you might have to pay for the parking as street parking is very difficult to find. I couldn’t find one even after spending 20-25 min.

Positive experience: From the lack of free public parking, it's at least $20 to park anywhere to buying a medoocre pizza slice for $7 the boardwalk is EXPENSIVE which takes the joy out of it, not to mension how dirty it is near benches . The good think i went was near the tiki bar they had a fireworks show which was short but fantastic and of course a beautiful beach view. How one family can own the boardwark is mind boggling.

We enjoyed every moment, whether it was grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many food stands or just strolling along the beach. If you’re looking for a place that offers a bit of everything—fun, food, and relaxation—Jenkinson's Boardwalk is the perfect destination. Fantastic experience: Love the boardwalk and beach right next to it. Parking from 10-4 was 20 bucks. Beach was clean and nice, boardwalk games were reasonably priced, shops were great. This is much nicer than what I remember jersey boardwalk towns like Wildwood or Seaside. Long Branch is nice too but there's more to do with kids here. Restrooms were good. Overall a great family fun day.

Fantastic experience: 1st time visiting this area of the jersey shore and I had a great time. 1st the parking you have several options, they have street parking which you pay a a kiosk or parking lot. I reccomend the lot located at the beggining of the boardwalk which is only $20 for the entire day. As you make your way you'll pass the beach has a fee to enter,which I'll show in the photos below. You'll also see beautiful beach rental homes along the boardwalk. Youll find pretty decent amount of places to eat, ice cream,and all other sweets and treats you crave. They have several arcades, amusement rides so it's very family friendly. They also have an aquarium, few bars plenty of outdoors seating so it's a cool area to spend with friends and family. Beach it self it's clean but just be mindful of the restrictions, no large coolers,no smoking, no dogs and few others but it's a nice area. Make sure you walk to end pass the parking lot for some great views as you'll see from the photos. I'm glad I visited definitely one if not the best day I had this summer.

Fantastic experience: The Jenkinsons Boardwalk may not be as big as Atlantic City or Wildwood but it is still a nice place. Point Pleasant is very kid friendly during the day with the Jenkinson’s Aquarium and the amusement park. The beach itself isn’t as nice as Cape May or Wildwood but it’s still great for a beach day especially for those who live in North Jersey because it’s much closer. There are many good bars and restaurants as well as ice cream places.

Fantastic experience: Took my husband and toddler here and we had a blast. Parking was right near the boardwalk, convenient when you had kids/wagon. Nice staff at beach entrance. Beach and small boardwalk was clean. Tons of games… We won a huge teddy bear. Great food and delicious ice cream. We’re planning to come back for a night event. Jenkinsons is Top Knotch.

Positive experience: Beach was closed due to what was stated as “rough waves” which only appeared to be no more than 4-5 feet high. We were also advised we couldn’t even go near the water to even your ankles which is absolutely ridiculous. What was even the purpose of an admission cost if you are just sitting in an essential massive sandbox. We had a group of 16 people with us which cost $224 in beach admission just to sit within the sand and not even enjoy the water. I highly advise discounting rates at the very least if you are going to minimize what individuals are traveling here for. The boardwalk on the other hand was as great as always and one of the few positives of the trip to this location.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful place for a family weekend or with your partner who likes fun and adrenaline. Clean place and above all very safe, there is safety all over the place. the only thing I don't like is that the waves on this beach are too high and strong and you can't enjoy with your kids . at the fair if you go in the afternoon after 6pm you don't have to wait long for your turn . apart from the arcade that you can win many prizes I recommend the one that is near the aquarium that is in this place .

It is so mesmerizing and beautiful. There are simply no words. Positive experience: Loved it. It’s the basic boardwalk experience with fun games to waste your hard earned moolah on. Plus the are cool rides and a train that winds around the park. And an adventure park for your kids to have fun on. A perfect place to spend a Sunday when it’s pretty lively. You better not go on a winter Saturday ( common sense) so yeah. Come on and have fun!

Fantastic experience: This is our summer go-to beach/ boardwalk! It's small, but it has everything we need... Martells Tiki Bar (#1 choice for our summer private beach), the aquarium, Boardwalk Bar and Grill with a rooftop view, Khors orange vanilla swirl ice cream, games/ rides, the beach itself, the fun house, mini golf and more! Do you really need anything else??

Positive experience: The boardwalk...particularly Jenkinson's portion of it is clean and well patrolled. They cater mostly to little kids...and when you do that, the area becomes less populated by roving teens. I can't imagine interviewing a gang of unruly teens and asking them if they want to congregate illegally at Point Pleasant... "No sir...we would much rather impart our gang and thug- related violence at Seaside Heights or Wildwood. Looting and destroying property at Point Pleasant just doesn't interest us." Look...nobody is going to compare Point Pleasant with Disney.... but for a nice, safe, scenic visit to Jenkinson's...a family with young children cannot go wrong.

Fantastic experience: Never really thought that you can have fun even as an adult went here with one of my friends and she made it fun with me she's kind of lively like me and I asked her if she would go into the fun house. This is just one of the great things that you can do on this boardwalk we also visited the tiki bar which allowed us to listen to music and have some great food and then we ventured onto the boardwalk where we had ice cream and also funnel cake. It was definitely a great night out

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved it!! It's a smaller boardwalk but has rides, arcades, great food, and a few cute gift shops. There's an aquarium on the boardwalk, too. The beach was huge....long walk to the ocean but it was so white and clean with palm trees. The water was a beautiful turquoise blue. I also saw an area with showers right on the beach so you can clean off. Perfect. I went there for a school trip but definitely going back with my husband and maybe grandchildren. Great family place to visit.

Fantastic experience: An amazing place for summer vacation, came for memorial day it was jammed packed, loved the vibes. Everything was open, the beach was beautiful, so many attractions, the shops were a little expensive, but loved everything

Fantastic experience: A wonderful family-focused boardwalk. So much to see. So much to do. But my favorite things are the little "notes and sayings" pressed into the concrete benches along the way. These benches are memorials to loved ones lost, with the hope that the memory of their experiences will inspire others. I wish I had more pictures, but these two are my favorite.

Positive experience: Looks like a fun summer town. We stopped for the day in the off season so most shops were closed but you can tell this would be a great place for summer vacation, especially for kids ages 10+.

Fantastic experience: Took our grand daughter for the first time and she approves!!!! She's 2 and a half and she was a little apprehensive at fist. But after the first ride she was convinced this was the best thing ever! We went early spring so it wasn't too crowded. Will be going back

Fantastic experience: Jenkinson's is hands down the most fun kid experience on the Jersey shore. No question. The boardwalk is comparable to Coney Island with a heavy emphasis on kid-friendly activities all within a short walk of each other. Between the aquarium, beach, rides, arcade games, and miniature golf, Jenkinson's has been a family destination for generations.

Fantastic experience: As a Jersey Girl how can you not love Jenkinson's Boardwalk. It's just a good time. In the summer, and any season. I went in the Winter for the first time. And love it.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful aquarium. If you have not gone here, you should. Lots of great tanks and some good ongoing marine research too.

Positive experience: I grew up at this boardwalk, it has gone from a beautiful place to severely over packed all the time. You can hardly move on the boardwalk in some places. We went to the end by the inlet with my <2 year old nephew. He had a fun time especially watching the boats. The workers and some people were very nice and friendly. It's still a nice place with a lot of restaurants, bars and games, aquarium. Beautiful scenery. They close the beach at 7.

Positive experience: Boardwalk has a good mix of things for little and big kids to do. Variety of food options also. Bathrooms (ladies) always seem to have a long line but they have staff cleaning regularly which is really nice! Beach was clean and everyone was pleasant. Fee for beach was alittle steep considering swim hours are only til about 5p. Also beach actually closes, meaning pack your stuff and leave or get a ticket at about 645p. All in all not a bad place to stop when you're in the area. *Parking at municipal lot is expensive and the cooler regulation is a downer but those are in place by the municipality not jenkinsons.

Negative experience: Boardwalk & beach are both VERY underwhelming. If this is the only boardwalk + beach combo you can manage, then it’s sufficient i suppose. You’d be MUCH better off driving the extra 40 minutes to Ocean City, even Atlantic City or even Seaside is better (and that’s saying a lot). This beach is short & crowded, costs $14 for adults, and drops off 10ft or so to the water surface. The boardwalk is short (maybe a 1000’), narrow (15’ across), and lame— gimmicky attractions, arcades & food. Skee ball is $1.50 per game?? Parking is also nonexistent. On the other hand, Ocean city boardwalk is several MILES long, 50 feet across, has 2 whole amusement parks, and packed with great games, shops, novelty stores, great food and unmatched arcades (Jilly’s). Beaches there are $10, clean, wide, and very long. Ocean City is better in every way, and better for every age group including families & those who are older (I’m 24, my parents are 50, and we have never had a bad experience there the past 15 years we’ve gone). I don’t even know how Point Pleasant managed to make ANY ‘Top 10 Boardwalks in NJ’ list online. It stinks! Never going back

Negative experience: Turned into a totally waste of money and time very sad how does sand dunes blocking view from home owners businesses and tourist plus like almost 60.00 to use beach that closed at 7pm as a kid I walked along the shore line to see fireworks at the peer its all gone you killed your main source of revenue and a place to visit only 1.5hrs from my house. Florida is the only option at prices now

Fantastic experience: This is a nice old fashioned boardwalk, with various arcades, ice cream places and similar typical Jersey Shore places. Its a fun place to spend a few hours. It's part of Point Pleasant Beach, which seems like a really nice beach. The arcade and amusements like a fun house and an aquarium are fun things to do, especially on a rainy day.

Fantastic experience: A great beach! Safe..family oriented..Rides games restaurants.. the aquarium, miniature golf..all good. I put another post that was lengthy..this is the short form..the visitors were nice ! That makes for a great day..wear your kindliness on your sleeve ( even if you're sleeveless and you'll have the time of your life!

Fantastic experience: I have such great memories of this place as a child. Brought my children back and created more fear memories, happy to see all the staple kiddie rides still standing with a few new ones for the slightly older crowd. Definitely better for the younger crowd but overall great family fun environment

Positive experience: Well-kept boardwalk with the usual assortment of arcades, games, pizza and ice cream. The portion with businesses is relatively small compared to other boardwalks. At the south end is an area with rides geared mostly towards younger kids. At the north end are a few family-friendly sit-down restaurants, some with adult beverages and patio seating on the boardwalk & beach. The boardwalk itself is well-maintained, with composite planks that are uniform and easy to walk on. Employees and police are in evidence everywhere. Fireworks are on Thurs. Parking can be challenging on weekends. During the week it's usually OK. The main lot has inconvenient machines that require remembering your parking space, whereas street parking (less plentiful) is via app. There is a train station within walking distance. MID-ATLANTIC BOARDWALK COMPARISON (N to S): ** Jenkinson's / Point Pleasant, NJ - See above. *** Seaside Heights, NJ - Medium size. Good for all ages. Serious rides. Retains a slight MTV "Jersey Shore" edginess, but feels safe. Fireworks Wed. Plenty of parking, but uses inconvenient machines instead of app. *** Atlantic City, NJ - Large. Best for adults and older kids. Casinos and several sit-down restaurants along the boardwalk. One amusement pier with decent rides. Fireworks Sat. Parking options outside the casino garages can be hard to find, and do not always feel safe. **** Ocean City, NJ - Medium size. Good for all ages. Dry town. Well-patrolled. Two amusement areas, one geared towards young kids, and the other with more serious rides. No weekly fireworks. Good for all ages & orientations. Busy amusement park at south end with a charming, historic feel. Relatively small area on the boardwalk with businesses. Most are on the main street stretching inland from the bandstand at the middle. No weekly fireworks. Parking uses app but can get full unless you go far north. *** Ocean City, MD - Large boardwalk that feels a little rougher than those further north, but still reasonably safe. Good for all ages. Amusement pier at the south end ("inlet") and lots of restaurants stretching north. Fireworks Mon. Plenty of app-enabled parking. Tram that makes funny sounds. ** Virginia Beach, VA - Long, modern, wide "boardwalk" made of concrete. Most businesses are on the street running parallel, which has some vagrants & rough bars, but feels fairly safe. Amusement park at south end feels creepy & old (similar to Coney Island). No weekly fireworks. App-enabled parking at several garages and on the street.

Positive experience: Love the boardwalk, full of fun and food. Great way to spend the day. Was surprised you had to pay… a high amount to go on the beach. Had a great beach day, but be cautious the sand is extremely coarse and the water currents are strong.

Fantastic experience: Great for young kids. We have a 2 1/2 yo and many places don't have rides for that age but the rides here have at least 8-10 he could go on and we had a great time! (some had no minimum height, some were btwn 34-36"...They also have rides for the older kids) We went on a Sunday at noon which is right when they open. It was great bc there was no wait for any rides and not crowded.

Fantastic experience: We came here twice during our stay with Family in Jackson. Every Thursday they do fireworks. The kids really loved that! Then we came again Tuesday when they had a deal for wristbands. It was always such a great time. There is so much to do on the boardwalk! I wish we had something like this in Naples. But we don't, because Naples is boring...

Fantastic experience: Timeless family fun for kids and adults. The boardwalk houses classic carnival rides - lots for both little kids and older ones. Boardwalk games and really fun arcades centers. Easy, clean beach access with lots of lifeguards stationed along the shore. Outdoor showers to use as you leave the beach. Don’t forget all the fun snacks and goods to eat - fudge, taffy, caramel apples, funnel cakes! Roll it all together and you have an awesome day trip for the whole family

Fantastic experience: Cool boardwalk with rides and carnival style games to win prizes. They have a bunch of arcade places with claw machines and other games you can win tickets to claim prizes. Lots of places to eat at here as well. Worth checking out if you ate visiting from out of town.

Positive experience: Great for the nostalgia, but way too expensive. The Super Himalaya is still my favorite! Arcades are cool, and you can't pass up boardwalk fries and funnel cake. It's disappointing that you can't be on the beach after 5pm.
