🗣️ Marineland Mallorca: Reviews
Positive experience: Overall this was a fun experience for the family however note that it is on the expensive for food etc. once inside. Shows were good and it was quite busy when trying to get pictures taken but staff were friendly and professional.
Positive experience: The dolphin and seal show was great and was lovely that you got pictures with them at a cost to you, but otherwise it has birds, turtles and fish very small! If you are happy at just seeing dolphin and seal shows then it’s worth going but don’t expect to spend the day there as not enough to do and my kids are 4 & 8.
Fantastic experience: Great day out for the family
Negative experience: Do not be tempted to go! The dolphins shows are only twice a day. One at 12 and one at 16. If you arrive at 13 like we did, then there is no way to see the dolphins unless you pay extra 35 euros per person for a photo with the dolphins!(and would still have to wait for the next available slot) Not much else to see or do....We spent 60 euros for 3 people (2 adults and 1 child) and we were there for no more than 30 min.
Fantastic experience: Only small but plenty to keep the children happy. Also very clean and nice on site restaurant.
Negative experience: PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING CAPTIVITY This isn’t about entertainment. It’s about suffering. These animals, especially orcas and dolphins, are incredibly intelligent, emotional, and social. In the wild, they travel miles every day, live in close family groups, and experience life in ways we can’t even begin to fully understand. But in captivity, that’s all taken away. Over 160 orcas have died in tanks around the world. Some sources say it’s over 190, and when you count those who died during capture or were stillborn, the number is even higher. More than 220 dolphins have died in captivity too. And beluga whales, who are just as social and wide-ranging, are dying as well, 17 at just one facility in Canada since 2019. These deaths aren’t accidents. They are the result of stress, isolation, and being forced to live in tiny tanks completely unnatural to them. Many suffer from collapsed dorsal fins, infections, behavioral issues, and die far younger than they would in the wild. These mammals, have been trapped in these tiny tanks alone. Orcas, belugas, and dolphins, aren’t meant to live in solitude. They should be with their pods, in the ocean, NOT circling endlessly in concrete. This isn’t education. It’s not conservation. It’s cruelty. If you care about animals, please don’t buy tickets to marine parks or aquariums that keep any type of captive animals and mammals. There are other ways to learn and connect with marine life, through documentaries, ocean sanctuaries, or seeing them responsibly in the wild. They do not belong in bathtubs or tiny enclosures. They belong in the ocean.
Negative experience: Althought the show was impressive, the small enclosures for the animals was far from decent. The dolphins have little room even though they could have a small part if the sea sectioned for them. The animals may seem happy but im sure they are far from it, it really is impressive what obnoxious proffesionals can do with a small inclosure and wild animals. Not only was the show inhumane, the other small enclosures for the animals, like the snapping turtals, were crammed to the top with way too many animals. You would think that the amount of people paying 150 euros tk take a photo with the animals, they could spare a little money to not have the turtles stacked on eachother. Saying this, i do think the show was impressive, i just think the animals should be free and wild or atleast have a little more room. Hopefully one day this place will be shut down and rhe animals can be wild again.
Fantastic experience: Its a great place to go. Very small but shows compensate it . Swimming with dolphins is wonderful and we miss Damski ;) still waiting to get reply for my email though
