Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran, you will get the help you need. Amy and her team are very professional, friendly and always take the time to help with good advice. I've been a customer at Aquarium Fish Paradise for several years now, and my aquarium addiction has really benefited from their service and advice.

Negative experience: bettas kept in the “cold water” section with no heat and clamped fins. don’t buy fighters from here.

Fantastic experience: The staff are VERY helpful and give really good, practical advice. They spend time with their customers and will order fish/products for customers if they don't it in stock.

Fantastic experience: Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Have bought turtles and Betta fish for years from here and they are always healthy Pricing is affordable. Turtles are $50-55 short neck and $95 for long necks Betta fish vary from $15-$40 always have plenty of stock and good variety.

Negative experience: First aquarium we visited since moving to Adelaide and unfortunately this was a poor experience. Very expensive prices Some fish were in plastic containers with lids on. No air rated water, some barely alive. No customer service untill we walked out the door. Only to tell us you didn't look out the back, don't think we want to at this stage Kinda given up on wanting to buy fish when they are at these prices

Fantastic experience: I was never a “fish” girl till I came across Amy and Aquarium Fish Paradise!! For the past two+ years now I have become the happy owner of a variety of fish, axolotl and a turtle! Amy (and her teams) knowledge and passion for all aquatic animals and products to sustain them, is outstanding! Also her prices are extremely reasonable! Better value than the big pet stores! I can’t recommend this great little family business enough

Positive experience: It's a great aquarium shop to go and see great selections are tanks Fish & Accessories on good prices in staff are quite good one letdown to the shop many times to me go into buy something don't have it in the lady that works there she was supposed to order them in for me 3 x I've been in there to order or to buy something not a problem she says but ring you back to let you know the items in she says she's got your number I do doubt that's true sometimes sides that the shop is good that's one thing that lets the shop down hope they fix the the customer experience if you're saying you're going to ring back when items in it will think they would hope they can fix it but it is a good shot still to go to

Fantastic experience: Excellent smallish shop but packed with lots of stuff. Fish look very healthy and reasonably priced. I like how they put a proper description on each tank of the fish, water parameters and growth chart, which is very good and ethical. Especially in cases of bala sharks, oscars, etc. The only negative thing I can say is that the food is all behind the counter which doesn't allow you to browse properly and they don't have the hugest range if you have bigger fish

Positive experience: The overall quality of the store isn't too bad. They have a wide variety of fish and the workers seem to have a good in-depth knowledge of the animals they are selling. As an avid fish lover and owner, I went in to buy a couple of community fish for my community tank. Instead I left with new equipment and a sick Betta fish. Out of the 20 or so Bettas they had, all laying on their sides at the bottom of their small box like homes, only one of them was able to push himself toward the glass to look at me. I just knew I had to take him home and rehabilitate him back to health. A couple of weeks later and he's feeding and swimming normally again, as well as regained his colour. He went from a greyish white to a stunning blue and red within just 1 week. This is no hate to the store, just a reminder to all those out there that the mistreatment of Betta Fish is not ok. Although it is understandable why stores keep these little guys in such small containers due to stock and storage availability, that doesn't excuse the state it leaves these beautiful fish in. Besides that, all their other fish seem to be in fairly healthy condition.

You can even leave your pet turtle, axlotl or fish while you go on holiday for a small fee! New owners have taken over the shop recently and are doing an amazing job. Renovations are currently ongoing and what has been done so far looks great. If I could I'd give 100/10 stars! (11.2.2023)

Fantastic experience: Giod variety of tropical fish. Has the biggest suckermouth catfish I have seen from shops so far. Lots of mystery snail and available from small sizes too. Nice shop.

Negative experience: Gone down hill since new owners have taken over. I have purchased some items, trying to support the new owners only to get over charged. I called them to let them know and they said I was undercharged do I want to fix up the outstanding amount over the phone with my credit card. they obviously lack common sense and don't seem very knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I would rate 6 stars if I could! The owner clearly runs this shop because he loves fish and also loves seeing people enjoy them as much as he does. Incredible customer service. He has swapped items for me that haven’t suited my tank or fish. He chased up a warranty replacement for a part I didn’t even buy from him! I can’t rate this guy highly enough. A really great bricks and mortar shopping experience that is sadly rare these days.

Fantastic experience: Rob cleaned our large pond. It was filthy - filled to the brim with algae. Rob did a brilliant job. It was sparkling when he'd finished! Rob is knowledgeable, competent and hard-working. I learnt from him that the little quartz pebbles I'd put in the bottom of the pond were a key reason for the algae - fish poo gets trapped in them and in turn acts as an algae fertilizer! Rob removed all the pebbles which was damn hard work on a hot Adelaide summer day. He was kind and courteous. He even went to Bunnings and devised a solution to adapt my pumps to efficiently clean my pond. That saved me buying a filter - saving me around $300. I am one very happy customer - thanks Rob!

The two gentlemen in this establishment have a very good knowledge of fishies ... and can help you pick out fish to suit your wishes. They also do tank cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Was shocked to see a negative comment about customer service! Ontop of the great selection of fish, Rob is the only reason I come back. I even sent my partner to pick up a gravel cleaner and rob was kind enough to always instruct me and give me his time to offer the best advice and support towards starting an aquarium. So incredibly friendly, well priced, and he goes out of his way to help others :)

Negative experience: Not recommended they sold us few sick fishes. I recommend go further to A1 tropicals at Holden Hill they are friendly and helpful with variety of fishes.

Negative experience: Very poor customer service. They sold a defective filter and when we went back to the shop, the owner Rob got all frustrated and was not ready to help at all. Also, the pricing is very high as compared to other aquarium shops. We didn’t know as it was our first time buying fish. Will never go back again to that shop.

Negative experience: They tried to sell me a common Bristlenose saying it was a Peppermint. Will not be going back with this sort of misleading behaviour. No excuse not knowing the basic difference when this is your line of work.

Negative experience: I remember coming to this store a couple years ago and it was a not a bad store. Returned recently as I'm just getting my aquariums back up and running and this store has gone down hill since my last visit. Dead fish in tanks, not much of anything to purchase. Store looked emoty and just like he given up. Tanks we're dirty and just looked uncared for. Avoid if you can.

Fantastic experience: This is my local shop this guy is honestly so good for help, info and his prices are really good. Always smiling and happy to help. I just bought a air filter for my breeding tank spent 18 for the one I got from here, in another store was 30. I keep going here not just because his my local but he makes you feel like a friend and you leave here with a smile and a good deal everytime
